Chapter 10: BoP: Battle of Puppeteers (3)

Henry paused. He touched his chin while he mulled over his next course of action.

First, puppeteers wouldn't be closing to the innermost of the forest and would be much distant from each other, for fear that it would attract James' attention.

The puppeteers who attack James were simply noobs, who just reached the minimum requirement for the tournament—the blue realm.

Henry doubted if they had ever experienced the real battlefield—where gigantic beasts would reap your throat out immediately. Nothing but just a hothouse flower.

Second, puppeteers would become much cautious due to the recent devastating battle. Some would be hiding, waiting for their enemy to loosen their guards before attacking with full power. While some would form groups—which was more troublesome than the former.

Lastly, Henry can't sneakily track enemies due to his uncaring lump of flesh. Even he, an arrogant person, knew about that.

In simple words, his plan to be a fisherman failed, unexpectedly and miserably.

After rummaging his head for plans. His eyes suddenly flickered with realization. "Why am I thinking too much? I'll just do what I usually do!"

After he said that, he let his body fall from the 50-meter height like he was sky diving.

Then, his abdomen glowed with a faint blue, a vague outline of a boar could be seen on his abdomen despite his thick garments.

After that, a blue mist enveloped his body, forming a shape of a quadruped animal.

Boom!

The ground trembled as a 50-meter boar landed on the ground heavily.

The trees around the boar broke as the heavyweight pressed on them like an unmeasurable mountain.

"Hit 'em Junior!" Henry shouted, however, what came out was a loud squeak of a pig.

Thereafter, Henry trotted his Sand Boar savagely as it left craters in its trail.

Although his Goliath Puppet was much smaller than other puppets he had encountered, its strength couldn't be underestimated.

In fact, Sand Boars are one of the strongest Gigantic Beasts in head-on collisions.

The 60 meters tall sturdy trees didn't stand a chance against its earth-shaking galloped. The trees broke one after another as he passed through the forest.

His overt scouting quickly gained the attention of the two people near him.

The two looked at each other, they blinked, seemingly communicating with each other.

The man with a scar on his forehead gestured.

Then the man with blond hair nodded. He waved his arm and a ball of wind floated into the air. It dispersed and became invisible as it drifted to through the forest.

Without him noticing, Henry was already inspected by an unknown enemy. He continued to operate his Sand Boar, appealingly, hoping it would somehow attract an enemy.

It was a stupid strategy, and Henry knew it. But his dumb head couldn't really think of ideas other than attracting enemies.

Time was running out, the tournament would end soon.

Not long later, he heard a rustle in the tree not far away from him. He didn't even look around as he leaped the Sand Boar to evade with a speed impossible to achieve with its weight.

Boom!

A garden of fire blossomed in the place where he stood. It would be beautiful if it hadn't charred the nearby land and trees.

A two-headed dog slowly revealed itself as the garden of fire dissipated. It stood confidently with its 70-meter height. It had dark red skin that somehow looked more like the ground in the netherworld.

Henry grumbled. He immediately controlled the boar to charge with its golden tusk pointed at the two-headed dog.

The whole forest shook once again, the enormous trees didn't even hinder the boar's movement as it charged with unstoppable momentum.

The two-head dog widened his eyes when he saw the boar's speed. However, he didn't let his surprise impede his movement.

Almost immediately, the scarred man activated his ability: [Hell Fire]

The two-headed dog's mouth shone with violet light.

Thereafter, a violet fire blasted towards the Sand Boar, completely enclosing his path.

Henry didn't stop, however. In response, he formed a translucent barrier around the Sand Boar's body.

Different from the scarred man's expectation, the translucent barrier and violet fire didn't make an earth-shaking collision. Instead, the translucent barrier absorbed the fire like a hungry sponge.

The scarred man almost choked the violet fire in the two-headed dog's mouth.

'We kicked a hard wall this time!'

He immediately canceled his ability and prepared to evade but a familiar light flashed into his eyes.

The scarred man froze in shock.

In the sky, the blonde man who was preparing for a sneak attack cursed at his foolish partner.

He immediately controlled his Goliath Puppet to grab the two-headed dog out of danger.

With a flap, an eagle with a 300-meters wingspan arrived near the two-headed dog shortly without a sound.

The blonde man's support was admirable. Within a second, he maneuvered the sea of fire and grabbed the two-headed dog with the eagle's talon. Still, he forgot one crucial point.

The eagle barely glided upward before a golden tusk penetrated their bodies.

They were too focused on the fire that they forgot their enemy!

The Sand Boar then twisted its head and slammed the two Goliath Puppets to the ground. After that, it made a quick jumped before slamming them again. Then again, and again, like a wrestling champion crushing its challenger.

The boar didn't stop until their bodies were bent into irregular angles. Fortunately, Goliath Puppets don't have blood, or it would be an unbearable bloody sight.

The Sand Boar pant as it stopped. The two Goliath Puppet immediately turned into smoke. Two unconscious men appeared and fell to the ground, the blue mists were later consumed by their tattoos.

Henry also summoned his Goliath Puppet back, the consecutive activation of his ability and the operation of the puppet drained the soul energy off his body.

He then hurriedly went to pick up the metal tags, their battles must've caught the attention of a few prying participants.

Henry activated his tattoo again and summoned the Sand Boar, he still needs to find a good place to hide. The two tags he obtained could already qualify him for the next stage.

Henry raised the Sand Boar's head in search of a good hiding spot.

Then he subconsciously took a step back from the sight that left him pale from fear.

In the sky was a black void of space, seemingly distorting the order of reality. Inside the black void, he could see red pupil-less eyes peeking at the forest. It was cold and emotionless like its destructive influence wouldn't matter.

However, the red pupil-less eyes in the black void didn't scare Henry.

What scared him shitless was the black void itself. They're done, he thought.
