Chapter 5: chapter 4
It was around 7 pm when Wei wuxian came back to lotus pier . After their dinner with Gusu clan people. Everyone went inside their respective room . Except for Wei wuxian who sat on one of the bench of lotus pier with jin ling .
" Uncle ,you said you will teach me your archery moves. you always breaks your promise ." jin ling said sulky.
" Oh A ling, who said I always break promise . " Wei wuxian defended himself .
"A ling , don't look at me like that .
I will teach you tomorrow. promise "
Wei wuxian said pinching jin ling's cheeks softly and lovingly.
" Don't pinch my cheeks. I m not a kid . "
Wei wuxian chuckled at latter's reaction he grinned before continuing,
" oh really ?Then who falls asleep crying on my lap when shijie scolds him"
jin ling was dumbfounded. His face turned red from the embarrassment .yes, indeed it was true jin ling is like that from childhood .He always wants Wei ying's company when he is alone or when he feels noone understand him but hearing those from him made his face red from embarrassment . He was at a loss of words from this sudden attack from. Wei ying who saw it broke into huge laughter .
"A ling " a sweet voice came from behind which was jin yanli's.
" A ling ,what are you doing here ? Didn't I told you to sleep ."
" Yes ,mother " jin ling wished both of them goodnight and went to sleep .
" A Xian , you too sleep well ."
" Yes ,shijie " Wei ying nodded
Wei wuxian roamed at the lotus pier before finding a comfortable place to sit.
Now Wei ying is sitting alone watching at the night sky ,the sky with the stars are looking like firefly in the dark forest .The atmosphere and the light breeze is making the atmosphere more beautiful .He took his flute ,' chenqing ' out and placed it on bottom of his lips and started playing a melodious tune .The sound that came out from chenqing was soul relaxing ,calm , enough to make anyone fall into deep slumber.
This is the another hobby of Wei Ying . anyone who hears him playing flute can't help himself from complementing and growing a desire to listen more .
Wei wuxian's music got interrupted when he heard someone's footsteps approaching him .
" Wei wuxian , Wanna join us for evening tea ?"
jiang Cheng asked and Wei ying nodded . jiang cheng took him to the place where everything was already set up .
when Wei ying reached there he was invited by two more people there sitting on the bench .
" zewu-jun , Hanguang jun "
" young master jiang " zewu jun called
" zewu jun invited you to drink tea with us " jiang cheng said
lan xichen looked at his younger brother, who was busy staring at Wei Ying .he smiled
"Yes..." Lan xichen turned to look at lan Zhan again .he smiled before continuing
" I wanted to drink with young master jiang ... I hope you don't mind drinking with us " ,lan xichen
" I would love to drink with you " Wei Ying said sitting with them .jiang cheng and he sat beside each other while lan Zhan sat beside lan xichen .
" Let me serve you " Wei Ying said before pouring tea for them .lan xichen let him serve the tea .
Wei ying looked at lan Zhan who sat beside lan xichen , he took a sip of tea before continuing
" Hanguang jun , I apologise for leaving you today "
" No need " responded lan zhan in a calm voice .
Wei ying took a sigh of relief knowing that he was not angry at him.
"hey wei wuxian , where did you went with nie huaisaing ? " asked jiang cheng .
" we both went to the catch fish "
" so where are the fish ? "Jiang cheng questioned
" we ate it .what did you thought we will store it for you ? " Wei wuxian said laughing at jiang cheng and jiang cheng hit him on his head .
" Yes he did ..."
" He comes everyday " jiang Cheng said rolling his eyes wei ying who saw it giggled .
"Did wen Ning came here after we left" Wei Ying asked while rubbing his head and pouting
" so what did he told ? " Wei Ying asked
" He will come tomorrow " jiang cheng said rolling his eyes everytime he talk about wen Ning .He hated him as he sticks with Wei Ying and that's make him more jealous as wei Ying spends time with wen Ning .
"He visit you almost everyday still I can't see any change in his cultivation . you are wasting your time." jiang Chen said frustratingly.
"Hey don't say like that .. he is improving. He just needs to practice more "
All four of them talked , actually Wei ying was the one to talk while jiang cheng and lan xichen were busy talking among themselves .
Everytime Wei ying ask or say something about his childhood , his cultivation life and his friends . lan Zhan just nods and reply with a 'hmm' .
They talked until 9pm and then went back to sleep in their respective room as lan people are very strict towards their sleeping routine .
jiang Cheng too went to sleep afterwards . Except Wei ying who took his flute and started playing the tune he was playing earlier , again .

I don't know what time it was. I can feel the heat of sunrays that were falling on my feets because of the windows that I forgot to shut last night so it must be past the morning time ..
I was sleeping peacefully while dreaming about some female cultivator , one was serving the strong vine and the other was feeding me some hot spicy dishes , another was fanning me while the rest was throwing flowers on me ....but my sleep got interrupted when I felt a strong kick on my butt due to which I fell from my bed along with my pillow.
ouch... that kick was very strong ,now my butt is aching .. i mumbled in my mind .
I hugged my pillow tightly. My eyes were already shut cause I didn't wanted to wake up yet cause the best part was coming ... I screamed in pain when he kicked me again on that exact part of my butt .
" AHHH , JIANG CHENG !!" I scream in pains holding my butt .finally I opened my eyes that bastard kicked me really hard. This was his as usual routin.so I was kinda used to it .The only reason I got irritated is not my butt which was aching hard but cause he ruined my beautiful dream again .
" Wei wuxian !! It's already 10 now and you are still sleeping like a donkey! "
" Don't you know lan people is also here .what will they think when they will find out that young master jiang is still sleeping when the sun is already up .Huh?" he kept on yelling at him but the latter didn't give a damn about it .
" Everyone is already up and had their breakfast . Madam lan asked for you , zewu jun asked for you , even lan wangji asked for you . I m not your servant . don't you know ... Hey wei wuxian I m talking to you . are you listening ? "
" It's still 10 am and you are barking ", Wei wuxian said sleeplesshly ,rubbing his eyes .
" it's early ?! lan clan people wakes up early 5 am in the morning and here you are ! ... I wonder if we send you Gusu clan how will you serve with their 3000 rules .Hahaha " said jiang cheng laughing like anything .
" what 5 am ? Fuck ! I m glad to be here atleast I can sleep peacefully ... wait ? how do you know about their Gusu clan rules .are you planning to go there staying with zew..."
" You asshole shut your mouth or else i will kick your ass again!" yelled jiang cheng hiding his red ears due to embarrassment
" ok ok I m shutting my mouth ... Now go it's still early . let me sleep for a while .." Wei Ying said closing his eyes while hugging his pillow again.
Yes ,even I wonder how did he have so much knowledge about Gusu clan.let it be or else he will kick us too🤔 😏

" AHHHHHHHH!! " Wei screamed in pain as jiang cheng kicked his butt again .
oh gosh it was really a hard hit 🎯 ಥ‿ಥ I wish his butt to recover soon
" A xian! " a sweet concern voice came . hearing that sweet and familiar voice . wei yelled louder .
jin yanli came inside their room along with jin ling and two handsome cultivators .
hearing her voice Wei Ying closed his eyes and chuckles inwardly thinking of a plan his butt wasn't aching too much but cause he heard his shijie voice full of concern . He planned to make jiang cheng feel guilty .He smirked thinking about his evil prank .
Wei wuxian hold his butt and screamed even louder while fake crying he screamed ,
" shijie !!"
" Jiang cheng kicked me ahhhh it's hurting, shijie "
Wei Ying eyes are closed. he is already trying hard to control his laughter and he knew once he saw their faces . he will definitely brust into laughters.
" A cheng , what is this ?! why did you have to kick A Xian ", jin yanli said angrily
" uncle ! are you okay ? is your back alright ?"jin ling asked in concern
facing his other uncle jin ling ,
" uncle Wei can sleep how much he wants to sleep . you always kick him to wake him up . Now look he is in pain ." said jin ling angrily
" why are you shouting ? I didn't kick him too hard " jiang cheng said explaining himself . He is already aware that Wei ying is just acting to gain their sympathy .
" ouchh " Wei ying screamed again fake sobbing .
oh gosh he is so dramatic * sighing * (≧▽≦)
" A Xian , it's hurting a lot ? " yanli
" young master jiang , are you fine ? should we call a doctor ?" lan xichen
Wei Ying then opened his eyes and finally saw that apart fron jin ling and jin yanli there are two more people who is present. The most handsome twin gades of Gusu , lan xichen and lan wangji .
Wei wuxian chuckled thinking about jiang cheng's face when he found out that lan xichen is there too. He bit is lower lips to supress his laughter thinking how he is ruining jiang cheng image infront of lan xichen.
" ahhh , yes I think I need a doctor ... I think I can't walk for 2 weeks ."
hearing Wei wuxian cries someone is clenching his fist in anger and is sending a death glare to jiang cheng but cause all are busy in wei ying noone noticed that change in lan zhan except for his brother ,lan xichen who is observing this change in his brother from the moment he hear Wei ying screams .
while others are watching Wei ying .lan xichen is side looking his brother and is observing every single change in his brother that is unnoticeable for others.
lan xichen's eyes grew wide in shock seeing lan wangji's grip on bichen is getting stronger ,that his knuckles are turning white .
" ohh it's hurting a lot. A ling carry me I don't think I will able to walk "
" hey wei wuxian don't be like this fairy? look fairy is here too " all of a sudden jiang cheng said while looking at the entrance.
Hearing jin ling's dog name , fairy . Wei wuxian's hair on his hands stand straight . all the blood from his body God knows where but almost flew giving his face a white shade .
he didn't think twice and immediately stand up in fear .
" shijie save me !! " he screamed in fears and hugged the one standing beside him , thinking it's jiang cheng .
" jiang cheng hug me !! " he said hugging the body ,his head crawling it's way to the person's neck ,hands wrapping around the waist like this is his last day on earth .He sniffed and got a smell of sandalwood fragrance , a mind refreshing smell that hit his nose .He closed his eyes tightly. He can hear those heavy heartbeats of that person, whom he was hugging but he was not in the state to give that attention.
He hugged that person even tighter leaving no space of air between their chest .
yes ,he is hugging lan wangji ...
* screams*
jin yanli and jiang cheng laughed watching his action while jin ling's and lan xichen mouth hanged open. while jin yanli and jiang cheng who had witnessed this already ,they took this moment laughing at him .
while lan wangji's face went red including his ears and his neck as if all the blood from his body came to his face .His eyebrows twitched , lips sticked together as if someone sealed them but he still stood straight with his expression less face lan xichen first went blanked as he knows that his brothers don't like skip shipping but seeing that there is no movement of struggle from lan zhan's side .lan xichen's eyes went to examine his brother's face that though shows no expression to others but after just a glance of jis brother's face lan xichen laughed inwardly as if he had seen some difference in his expression which can't be seen by others .
" jiang cheng I m sorry for pranking you . now please chase that dog away * sob*....you promised that you will chase him *sniff* away for me ..*sniff* hug m-me jiang cheng ." Wei said while hugging him close afraid that the latter will break the hug .
don't judge him . Wei ying is one of the strongest cultivator that fears nothing . He can sleep with a bed full of snakes , can roam around the street naked , can marry a man , can survive without alcohol and other... but dog is his only weakness . he can't bear see them
Hearing his trembling voice ,yanli's and jiang Cheng's eyes got teary but jiang Cheng cursed himself for playing prank to him.
jin ling heart became soft. A tear rolled from his eyes hearing those pitiful pleading .First he was shocked when his uncle hugged the great hanguang jun all of a sudden but now he only wanted to hug his uncle and comfornt him .lan xichen knew that Wei wuxian feared dog but seeing how fear he is now. lan xichen wanted to make him feel safe like being his elder brother .
" ... hug m-me..* sniff * " Wei wuxian could only utter those words out of fear .It was like pleading .
Fingers shaking, lan wangji's hands moved upward like he wanted to fulfil latter's request but he struggles with himself knowing that he was not jiang cheng and he had no rights to hug him ...he should not take advantage but hearing his trembling voice that is now ringing in his minds again and again. after struggling a bit he decided to shrugged that off now he only wanted to make Wei wuxian feel safe, his right hands moves forward as he was holding bichen in his left hand . so he can hug him with his right hand only .he was about to hug him but his hand hanged in air . when he heard Jiang cheng spoke he retarded his hands back . which noone noticed as their attention diverted to jiang Cheng except for lan xichen who was only looking at his brother .
" A Xian, look their is no fairy ." Jiang cheng said ensuring him that he is safe .
" No..No-o ..chase him away"Wei ying pleaded
" A Xian ,look I m standing here " jiang cheng
Wei ying slowly titled upwards to find that the one he was hugging was lan wangji not jiang cheng .
The moment their eyes meet . Wei ying eyes that were a little watery stares at those two beautiful eyes of lan zhan. while lan zhan eyes look at Wei wuxian's eyes like he can see the whole univers in those two little doe eyes but Wei ying isn't feeling the same . after Wei Ying realised that he was hugging lan zhan he broke the hug , he quickly whipped his eyes which was a little watery .
" Hanguang jun , I m sorry " he quickly apologized
wei Ying looked around to see that there was no dog .he turned towards jiang cheng and slapped him on his hand .
"ahhh" massaging his hand jiang cheng while saying ,
" you got what you dig "
" look at you ,I can't walk for 2 weeks huh? Now what happens to your back " jiang Cheng said mimicking Wei Ying .
Wei ying rubbed the tip of his nose with his index finger while pouting , Realising that he just now exposed himself .he complained,
"but you hit me real hard . it's aching "
" ahhh shijie !! " he said and hugged her .
yanli just pinched his nose .jin ling stood there holding tears
No he could not hold back anymore 😂
" uncle !!! " jin ling cried and hugged his uncle ,like a baby clinging to his mother .Wei ying hugged him back slowly caressing his back .
" hey , now what happened to you ? crying like a baby " jiang cheng teased rolling his eyes .
" I i-i got emotional " by saying this he burst into loud sob .
" awww" jin yanli said admiring his brother and his only son strong bond .
lan zhan stood there switching on his expression less face like nothing happened.. like noone hugged him a moment ago ... like he wasn't hugged in a way their chest collies with each other.
Noone can tell that what he was feeling rightnow except for his brother , lan xichen and Madam lan.
Yes ,Madam lan cause she was there too . From the very start she was watching them standing a far from them which none of them noticed .
At the dinning table when Wei ying didn't came for breakfast . she thought he got a fever . so she came to check him but when she heard Wei ying's cries . she stopped and watch them from a distance .
Madam lan chuckled seeing
his younger son , lan wangji from afar .
" but I was thinking how come shijie , jin ling , zewu jun and Huang jun are here ? ",wei asked
" A Xian , you didn't came for breakfast . so zewu jun and lan er gongzi thought you got a fever . so here we are to visit you . "jin yanli explained
" Master Wei , are you okay? why didn't you came for breakfast ?" lan xichen asked
" How will you see him , zewu jun . our great A Xian, is a sleeping baby . He sleeps at 1 am and wakes at 9 am" ,jiang cheng teased
" and why are you here ? " Wei ying asked looking down at that snake who is hugging him .
jin ling quickly broke the hug.
Wei wuxian pouted and everyone laughed .
" why can't I visit you ? " jin ling said crossing his arms .
Wei wuxian just giggled .
" oh may be our 3 years old A Xian has forgot that he had promised A ling that he will teach him some of his archery moves " jiang cheng said
Wei wuxian scratchs his nape realising the reason why jiang Cheng's kicked him .
" I didn't forgot." he pouted
He turned to face lan zhan and lan xichen .He smiled at them before asking .
" Do you mind joining us at the training field ?" ,asked Wei Ying .
" sure , we are glad that master Wei want us to join them "
" A Xian , it's already late and you didn't had your breakfast .eat something first " yanli said
" Yes shijie " Wei Ying saud nodding like an obedient puppy .
