Chapter 2: THE ODYSSEY FROM SERPHIM TO DAVID
"Take the first step in faith.
You don't have to see the whole staircase,
just take the first step."
The staircase that connects heaven and earth always ends in a grim reaper place who works for SERAPHIM, Mr. Hebrew is a grim reaper whose place will lead the ended lives into the afterlife. The Grim Reaper, a feared and mysterious figure, is often depicted as a being who escorts souls to the afterlife. His presence is ominous, his scythe reflecting the finality of death. But what is it like to be on the receiving end of his service? The souls he guides to the afterlife are often disoriented and frightened, clinging to the remnants of their earthly life. But the Grim Reaper is not a heartless figure. He understands the weight of his duty and the gravity of the transition he facilitates. He approaches each soul with a sense of reverence and compassion, recognizing the individuality of each being he encounters.
"New Beginnings Are Often Disguised as Painful Ending"
As he guides them through the veil that separates life from death, he whispers words of comfort and encouragement, reminding them that their journey is one that every living being must eventually embark upon. He shares with them the wisdom he has accrued from centuries of service, offering guidance and solace to those who are overwhelmed by the unknown.
But even as he provides support, the Grim Reaper never loses sight of his ultimate goal. He is a being of duty, and he approaches each task with a solemnity and focus that is unmatched. He is not a being of malice or cruelty, but rather a neutral force that simply guides souls to their next destination. As he carries out his task, he remains a figure of awe and mystery, a being that both terrifies and fascinates those who encounter him.
From the 15th century to the present day, the Grim Reaper has been depicted as a chilling image of a human skeleton holding a scythe, dressed in a black cloak with a hood. Often referred to as the Angel of Death, this haunting figure has instilled fear in the hearts of many. However, with time, the Grim Reaper's appearance has evolved. In the 20th century, they have taken on a more human-like form, donning black suits and hats, and holding a book of sins instead of a scythe. With this transformation, the Grim Reaper has become less ominous but still holds a powerful place in our imaginations as an angel of death.
The Seraph had just arrived on Earth, and Hebrew, the first human he met, greeted him with a phrase that puzzled him. "No River Can Return To Its Source Yet; All Rivers Must Have A Beginning," he said. The being, who would later name himself David, was intrigued by the statement, wondering what it meant and what the purpose of his arrival on this planet was.
Hebrew's welcome was warm, and he offered David a place to stay in his mansion. "You can live in my mansion, sir. I hope you enjoy this world. I need to go, sir, someone's death is calling me. Let me know if you need anything, sir," Hebrew said before leaving.
David was left alone to ponder his thoughts. It was his first day on Earth, and he was already feeling overwhelmed. He asked Hebrew if humans had codes to summon them, hoping to find a way to communicate with them. Hebrew explained that it was not codes but names that humans used to identify each other. "You need to learn the human accent, sir. If you are done, may I have my leave, sir?" Hebrew said.
David was taken aback by Hebrew's response. "You're scaring me on my first day!" he exclaimed before allowing Hebrew to leave.
As he sat in the mansion, David thought about what Hebrew had said about identifying humans with their names. It was then that he heard a whisper in his ear that referred to a name: David. The whisper made him feel the same way he had felt when he was traveling towards Earth. It was a feeling of excitement and anticipation.
David wondered if he should name himself David since it was a Hebrew word that meant 'beloved.' It was a fitting name, and he decided to adopt it.
Suddenly, David heard another whisper, this time from a girl. "A Woman Written In Mystery Is Worth A Curiosity Trip," she whispered. The words sent shivers down his spine, and he wondered who the girl was and why her whisper had terrified him.
David embarked on an odyssey from Seraphim to David, a journey of self-discovery and understanding of the world he had just entered. As he explored the planet, he encountered various cultures and customs that fascinated him. He learned about the history of humanity, the struggles, and the triumphs.
As he delved deeper into his journey, he realized that a new world order was in the making, and it was up to them to prepare themselves to take their rightful place in it. David knew that he had a role to play in this order, and he was determined to fulfill it.
The whispered words of the girl continued to haunt him, and he wondered what they meant. He knew that he had to unravel the mystery of the girl and her words to understand his place in the new world order.
David's journey was just beginning, and he was excited to see what the future held for him. He knew that he had much to learn and discover, but he was ready for the challenge. With his newfound name and purpose, he set out to make his mark on the world and take his rightful place in the new world order.
