"Shit!"
I gasp, a line of blood appeared on my finger, slowly dripping down.
I abruptly got up and threw the plate pieces away.
I then washed my finger and put a bandaid on my finger.
Why do I have to be some clumsy? But why would a plate be breaking now? There weren't any shaking to move that plate to the ground.
Was someone in my house? But, that wouldn't make sense. My door was locked.
I looked straight at my door. I heard knocking.
"Hello?" A woman's voice yelled for me.
I unlocked my door and peeked.
"Hi, yes, how may I help you?" I stuttered, hiding my gun behind my back.
Why the fuck did I bring the gun with me? Am I that paranoid?
A gorgeous and busty woman stood in front of me. Her slick shiny black hair looks soft. Her eyes are big and looked like emeralds. But she's really tall.
I mean, no hate on tall women but like, she looks like 7'2. I'm not dissing tall women, in fact I'm quite jealous. Me being 4'11 is like them being giants.
"Hey, I just moved in! You're the last neighbor to give a gift too. Sorry if it is late already."
She handed me a basket filled with chocolates, a cute white mug, and a medium-sized brown stuffed teddy bear as well.
"How cute... Thank you, we will become great neighbors!" I replied, taking the basket.
"I'm Karen, my boyfriend and I found this apartment as great location since it's close to where we work." Karen started to tell me her life story.
How her boyfriend and herself lived in poverty for five years, until her boyfriend got a job. How he's finally making a lot of money to be able to afford an apartment. "How wonderful! I wish you guys a best of luck."
I gave a genuine smile, but I don't think she should have told me her whole life story. Just tell me that you're my new neighbors...
"I didn't catch your name!" Karen suddenly bursted in the middle of her blabbering.
"Oh, I'm Emma." I gave a nonchalant smile.
"Just Emma? What's your last name?"
Do you need to know? You haven't told me your last name either...
"Do you need to know? I think not. It's already late now, your boyfriend must be worried about you in the other room. Goodnight."
I waved and shut the door on her.
I know I'm being rude, but I just feel so frustrated today. I shouldn't have released my anger at her, maybe I would give her an apology gift tomorrow.
I groaned.
How much stress I put myself to is a wonder.
I even have to get dressed for Leon, a guy I met today! I closed all my lights, and went to bed.
I remembered Ryuu and his stupid smile. How easily he can smile even in the saddest moments. Ever since Ryuu's parents has died, his half-older brother loathed Ryuu. They both used to be so close, until Ryuu got the CEO position at his father's job. Ryuu was very busy everyday. He was spying on the government the first hour, and then filing papers the next hour.
Ryuu at first was just going to give up the CEO posting and give it to his half-older brother, but Ryuu found out that he was doing some shady business with the mafia.
Ryuu had no time to rest. Finally when Ryuu settled down a bit, we were going to get married.
But Ryuu got paralyzed and died. Leaving his older brother to run the company. After he became CEO, Ryuu's older brother kept wanting me to marry him. Threatening me too. I then moved far away from him. Was his name Bryce? No, Ivan? Well, whatever his name is, the best suited for his name is Fucker.
