Chapter 14: Happy Xiao Hui
Yun Xi and Xiao Hui were enjoying each other's accompaniment when Mo Shan spoke, "Let's go now, Xiao Hui. Say bye to your pretty sister. We will come again in the evening."
Xiao Hui became sad and teary as he did not want to separate from his pretty sister. Even Yun Xi felt gloomy when she heard that Xiao Hui had to leave.
Mo Shan saw their expression and understood that they could not bear to separate. Even he did not want to, but he had work to do and Xiao Hui had home classes.
"Let's go for now. We will come again in the evening, okay? You have your classes to attend." Mo Shan told him.
When she heard that Xiao Hui had classes, Yun Xi lowered her head to look at Xiao Hui and said, "Go on. Do your best and learn patiently in class. Pretty sister will be waiting for you in the evening, okay?"
Xiao Hui had no other way other than nodding his head at her. "I will return soon, pretty sister. You take care of yourself." He said.
"Mmmm" Yun Xi nodded at him.
Mo Shan then carried his son and faced Yun Xi "Miss Yun, take care. Have plenty of rest. If you feel bored or need anything, call me."
Yun Xi nodded at him embarrassingly.
Then, Mo Shan walked out of the room with Xiao Hui in his arms.
Assistant Zhang was already waiting outside the door. He came out earlier to give some time for them to talk. After Mo Shan came out of the room, Assistant Zhang gently closed the door and then followed his boss.
"Boss, the car is in the parking lot. I will bring it, you wait outside." With that Assistant Zhang went to bring the car.
Mo Shan knew that his son was still sad so said, "Alright, don't be like this now. Even I don't want to get away from her but if we are near her then she would not get enough rest. So, let's just come again in the evening, okay? Be good now and save your energy. You still have your great grandfather waiting for an answer from you."
Xiao Hui sighed remembering his great grandfather's childish look. He really had to prepare himself to cajole the old man now. Even though he felt annoyed, Mo Shan knew that he really loved the old guy otherwise he would not have wasted time cajoling the old man.
Mo Shan patted his son's head and said, "Good. I will drop you home first, then will go to the office."
Assistant Zhang brought the car and Mo Shan got in the back seat with Xiao Hui. Xiao Hui kept looking at the hospital as the car drove by. He was beginning to miss his pretty sister already.
Since Old Mansion Mo was located far from the residential area, it took them nearly 45 minutes to reach there.
When they reached there, they could see their old man already waiting for them. The father-son duo looked at each other and shook their head.
"Okay, go now. It's up to you to cool him down. Fighting!!" Mo Shan told his son and helped him get off.
Xiao Hui took a deep breath and walked towards the old man. He could tell that his old man was grumbling even from far.
He ran to him and directly hugged him, "Great grandfather, did you miss Xiao Hui? Xiao Hui missed u a lot." He spoke before the old man could speak. He even acted a little bit spoiled.
The old master Mo peered down at his legs being hugged by his great-grandson. It would be a lie if he said that he was not happy when he heard his words. "Really? But you did not even call me all night and you claim that you missed me?" he asked.
"I wanted to, great grandfather. But you know, father's cellphone became switched off due to lack of charge. It's all father's fault." Xiao Hui sold his father off without even blinking.
"You sure? Why don't I believe you?" Old Master Mo said sarcastically.
"Grandpa, I am really telling you the truth. Come on now, don't be angry again. Don't you want to know about my to-be mother and younger sibling?" Xiao Hui asked knowing that his great grandfather would not be able to hold his curiosity.
And as expected, Old Master Mo forgot about being angry and asked with his twinkling eyes, "So tell me, is she nice? Do you like her?"
Actually, Old Master had already investigated about her and knew that Yun Xi was really a nice person. But he was still keen on seeing her for himself so he had already made preparation to visit her on the hospital today.
Xiao Hui took him by hand into the living room and helped him sit on the couch there. "Great grandfather, she is really pretty and nice. Do you remember the time when I got lost in the exhibition? When I saw my new mother today, I realized that she is the same woman who saved me that day. I even slept with her yesterday and she helped me to wipe my face today and even fed me breakfast. Grandpa, I really like her." Xiao Hui told him everything excitedly.
Old Master Mo could feel that his great-grandson really liked that girl. When he heard that she was the one who helped him when he was lost, his respect for her raised even more. He even praised her in his heart.
"Okay, okay I know how good she is now. You have classes today, no? Your teacher must be arriving soon. Go and get your study materials ready." Old Master Mo told him.
That's right. Xiao Hui was being homeschooled.
After talking with his great grandfather, he went into the study room.
