Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Eclipsa sat alone on the fragmented moon. Actually, this moon of the remnant wasn't a moon, instead, it was a skull. This was something left behind from the old era of primordial titans or simply known as Spirit Sovereign. They were avatars of the world. They are the sentient laws of Reality given form. Once upon a time, they walked on this world. They were a group of gentle and quiet existences. They seldom interact with the world and lived within their own spirit realms. Spirits were like them, physical manifestations of the world but unlike the Spirit Sovereign, they could be formed from something as small as a spark or as something as explosive as a star going supernova.

For example, a Spirit Sovereign of Fire was formed from all the flame in the world but a Candle Spirit was formed from the flickering flame of a candle. In the era of Dawn, the spirits were abundant. Some of them even formed bonds with humans and provided the ability to use magic. Now though, mages have to resort to more risky measures to use magic. Anyway, in these olden times, spirits and livings lived closely together with Spirit Sovereign watching over them, forming a harmonious balance. Then, the first god appeared. The first god wasn't even someone special, they were just a human who comprehended the way and walked on the path of God. There was only one condition to be a god: consolidate all of their comprehension toward the way and form a divinity regarding that. However, they were struck at the last level. Their comprehension regarding the way wasn't strong enough and they weren't able to consolidate a divinity.

So, they resorted to killing a Spirit Sovereign and absorbing all of its essences and forming the divinity with these essences. Since Spirit Sovereign were the physical manifestations of the world, they were part of the way. So, they killed all barring one. The Titan of Time had merged with the soul of a human mage named Ozma and escaped. Later though, the mage was captured and cursed for helping the titan.

But that wasn't why she killed the gods. She wasn't some self-justifying hero after all. She was Eclipsa Rose, daughter of Summer Rose. Ever since she had destroyed the Divine Realm, she found herself reminding this fact to herself very often. It was hard to acknowledge the time when you are wallowing in your own despair after all. On those quiet nights, she loved her mothers especially Summer. Before, she would always strive to be a good daughter just to be acknowledged by her. She was a little naive back then now that she thought about it.

'I just wanted to be loved I guess,' she thought. Then, one day, Summer just disappeared. Eclipsa waited for months at home. She didn't need food to sustain herself so it was kinda fortunate. She waited for one whole year before she set off to find her mother and that journey was the one that had changed her life in more ways than one. But it wasn't important. What had happened had happened. Now, that she had wallowed in enough self-pity, it was time for her to move on. It was not like it was the first time Summer betrayed her after all.

Still, this stung her greatly. After all, she loved Summer, her mother dearly even though she wouldn't show it. That was the reason she hunted down the whereabouts of her mother across all Remnant. Imagine her surprise when she saw her mother on a scroll at a Christmas party at Schnee manor. She was smiling such a bright smile. That was the first time Eclipsa saw Summer that happy. With uncontrollable tears in her eyes, the hunt was dropped.

Anyway, she still hasn't decided what to do now. Maybe live here on this floating rock/skull for eternity? The more she thought about it, the more it seemed like it was a good idea. There wasn't much she cared about on that boring dirtball anyway. Well, perhaps she should explore it some more and find herself. With that in mind, Eclipsa stood up as she descended in dazzling light akin to a falling star.

She fell into a continent of ice and snow. The night sky of this place was shining in ever beautiful colours of auroras. She just stood there. Her mind lost of all directions. She was just tired. She willed herself to walk. She decided to go to Atlas as she walked slowly there. The red cloak slowly trailing behind her.

"Hey, watch it!" Eclipsa bumped into a girl when she was contemplating her goal. She absentmindedly apologized to the girl.

"Didn't your parents teach you to keep your eyes on the road when you are walking?" the girl, unsatisfied with her apology, immediately berated her.

"Umm, No?" Eclipsa replied. That was the truth. Before, she lived in a cabin in Forever Fall. After the hunt, she mostly spent her time on the moon and it was quickly established between Summer and her that she didn't need to be worried about being crushed by a car or bullhead or any kind of vehicle. So, Summer never taught her about this. Actually, Summer didn't teach her a lot. Admittedly, she didn't need them. Especially on how to live. She didn't need to sleep, eat, or drink, and she was an immortal. She couldn't be killed whether by herself or any others.

The girl paused for a moment and said, "How irresponsible of them! Show them to me!" the girl demanded in a stern voice.

"Well…" Eclipsa wanted to indulge her. That would be amusing if anything but she didn't want to meet with her mothers again so she had to reject her.

"I can't," Eclipsa replied.

"Why couldn't you-" the girl said before her eyes widened in a leapt of logic and cutting herself off, "I am sorry! That was insensitive of me," she hastily replied.

"Whatever you were thinking, I am sure that wasn't it," Eclipsa dryly replied.

"Anyway, I am Eclipsa, do you have anything interesting to do?" She introduced herself. Yes, those who said that she was an awkward introvert could kill themselves now.

"I am Neon Katt! Remember me!" Neon said with an upbeat tone. "As for interesting things, I have plenty," Neon said as she grinned maniacally.

"Oh, do tell," Eclipsa said in her ever-present monotone voice.
