When he pushed me into the car he got in after me and shut the door, blocking my exit.
yeah my supposed exit, I had expected him to sit with the driver, which would have been to my advantage.
I knew the drive would lead past my house and I wanted to make a run for it.
It sounds risky I know but anything right now is better than being in a car with two strangers.
Am not from a rich family, hell! I have no family. I don't even know anyone who is famous so why would anybody wanna kidnap me?
I have to get out of this one way or the other though it's looking impossible and like he said, whatever I do right now would be useless.
I looked at the guy beside me but I couldn't make out much thanks to the darkness.
Out of nowhere I saw a flicker, dude was lighting a cigarette.
I studied him and saw the outline of his jawline and his lips.
His hands seems unsteady lighting the cigarette.
I tried to stay awake but I felt my eye lids dropping.
I woke up with a start and not knowing where I was, I looked around.
It was a room, more like a snow filled room.
No it wasn't cold, but everything was snow white.
From the bed covers to the walls and the floors.
I've never been in such a room before.
One thing is clear, last night was a kidnap!
All my life I've lived a ghost like life.
Something like walking through people without them noticing.
where did I go wrong?
I wonder if anyone will notice am missing.
My place of work? maybe.
My apartment? I doubt that.
They'd just assume I've gone camping.
Most times when I miss my old life, I just pack a few stuffs and head out with a tent in my backpack.
Sounds silly? not really, my life was that simple. I feared nothing cause I had nothing to loose.
There were always others and we all saw it as camping.
I thought about my possibilities of escape and it was very narrow.
For starters I don't know what city am in, I don't know what floor the room is on neither do I know what room it is.
I have to make plans.
The door is the only visible exit here.
I went to the door and just as I thought, it was locked from the outside.
I tried picking the lock but it turns out it only responds to its keys.
Means am stuck till someone unlocks it.
I guess it's PLAN B.
Only problem is, I've got no PLAN B.
I walked over to the bed and sat down.
I had my head in my hands when I heard a key turning.
I sat up and fixed a steady gaze at the door.
A guy walked in with a plate in hand.
"We're glad you're up." he said and I instantly recognized his voice.
One of my talents is having a strong memory for voices.
He was the driver, there's no doubt about that.
"We saw your little game with the lock."
Damn! there's a camera in here!
"Tell me something, would you have left if the door wasn't locked? I mean you don't even know where you are."
"Why don't you tell me this instead, what do you guys want from me?"
"what do we want from you? girl we saved your life."
"Yeah right! Is keeping me locked in a room a kind of guarantee of how safe my life is?"
"Girl you got guts. You should be grateful you know? It could have been worse if we hadn't gotten to you when we did."
"Worse than this? I should be at work right now, what the hell are you talking about?"
"Look, I brought you something to eat, it's not too good but it's not poisonous either.
Me and the guys, we're bad at cooking and we don't have any female here to help out except you and you've been such a great help."
"You saying you got girls locked elsewhere too?" I snickered.
"What? you really think we kidnapped you? Man, we flew for hours to get to you."
"Why did you do it? what do you want from me? have ever seen me before? what the hell did you save me from?!" I yelled.
