Chapter 45: Chapter 45 - You Belong To Us Now Part 2
"Is this it?" Mi Young asks. They were standing on top of a cliff as they all glanced down at an empty garden below them.
The leader of the Cyclops nodded his head. "Yes. That's their kingdom."
Se Heon looked confused as he watches the small garden. Although it's filled with many flowers and fruits, it still look small to be called a kingdom. Aside from them, there's another question running inside Se Heon's mind, 'where is everybody?'
The Cyclops must have read what was running inside his mind and so he answered Se Heon's silent question, "They put a cloaking spell around their kingdom. That garden is just an illusion, that's not the real deal yet."
Se Heon made an 'oh' expression before he nodded at what the Cyclops said.
"Now what?" The Alpha asks. They came here without any plan at all and he's getting agitated with how things are going.
"We'll ask the Queen to see us." Mi Young deadpans.
All heads whipped in her direction upon hearing what she said.
"Are you serious?" The Alpha asks. He tries to search for the truth behind the girl's expression and hopes that she was only kidding, but he gets none. "You're really going to storm in there and demand for the Queen's presence?"
"Uhn." Was Mi Young's only answer. "This is my plan. And I'm sure it will work if you listen to me."
"Plan? Is that even a plan?"
"Not to be rude Sir but if you won't listen to my requests then I shall part ways with you then."
The Cyclops and the chief of the dwarves glared at their brother. Alpha Kah Ih Doo raised his hands in defeat, "Fine. I'll listen now. Geez, no need to look at me like that."
After that, the Alpha kept his mouth shut while Mi Young was talking.
"All you have to do is remain calm and shut up. Let me do all the talking." Although the others want to disagree on her rules, they nodded their heads, fully giving the girl their trust. Looking at the faces of the other parties, Mi Young felt braver. "Good. Remember, do not answer any of their questions. I will be your mouths today."
The others agreed once more before they prepared themselves as they all walked together towards the kingdom of the Seelies.
Right before they arrived at the small garden, which was just an illusion, the leader of the Cyclops stopped them.
"I request the Queen's presence!" The Cyclops shouted the words Mi Young told him to say. "We have come here to bargain!"
There was no movement coming from the other party but after a couple of minutes, two males came out of nowhere.
To Mi Young, the creatures look human except for their slanted eyes, pointed ears, the wings behind their back, and their sharp teeth.
When the two Seelies stopped in front of them, what Mi Young did not expect was the other Seelie behind their back.
"I didn't see her at all." Se Heon whispers beside Mi Young as the woman behind the two male Seelies emerges from the back. She looks beautiful and elegant, if not for her pointy teeth, Mi Young would have mistaken her as a fairy.
Hearing Se Heon's sentence, the lady smiled at him before she said, "Thank you, my illusion magic is indeed powerful but not as powerful as Her Majesty's."
Se Heon didn't give any answer as his eyes widened at the sudden attention from the pretty lady.
Mi Young shook her head with his idiocy.
"Why are you here again, Kah La Kee?" The lady asks. She regards the leader of the Cyclops with her cold stare. "We told you many times that your son has broken the law and is now under our supervision. There's no point in coming here and bringing other creatures with you. You're just going to lead them to their downfall."
The Seelie might sound rude but what she said was true. The leader of the Cyclops must have known this before because he looked guilty as he answers, "We don't wish to cause any disturbance. However, my friend here needs Her Majesty's presence."
"Your friend?" The lady asks. Kah La Kee looked at Mi Young which made the female Seelie follow his gaze. She looks at Mi Young up and down before she asks, "Why do you need Her Majesty's presence?"
"I need some violet lamp grass to heal an important being. I heard that Her Majesty owns them so I asked Kah La Kee's help to get me here and request for the Queen's presence." Mi Young answers without even blinking.
The Seelie looked at her intensely before she asks one more time, "Her Majesty is not someone you can just ask of any time. She is an important person who has a lot of important things to do. If you wish to see Her presence, you can wait for an invitation or not."
"Right. But what would Her Majesty do if she found out you turned down a human who can control two elements?" Mi Young says. She looks at Seelie directly in the eyes.
The female Seelie's eyes widened in surprise. Even the males behind her went stiff upon hearing her sentence.
"H-How can we know that you are not lying?" The female Seelie asks. Even if her arrogant stance is still present, she cannot hide the fact that she feels agitated and excited to see someone they long to see.
Mi Young calls out her mana and immediately, her Pyro and Hydro element emerges.
The three Seelies looked at one another with excitement. The female Seelie nodded at the two guys before they answered with a solid nod as well.
"Very well. Follow me." The female Seelie says.
The five creatures looked at one another before they followed the Seelie who disappeared as soon as she entered the small garden.
Mi Young couldn't stop herself from gawking upon seeing the place beyond the illusion of the small garden.
Everything inside the kingdom was sparkling, from the ceiling down to the white marbled floor.
Everywhere you look you will see ornaments and gems that can catch the eyes of any creature.
"Don't be fooled. All of these things were stolen." The Cyclops says beside her. Mi Young shuts her mouth as they walk further inside the castle.
They stopped outside a huge golden door adorned with different sparkling gems.
There were two male Seelies standing just outside the door as well, and it looked like they were aware of Mi Young's introduction earlier because although they are both looking ahead of them, they still couldn't stop themselves from taking a glance at the black haired girl.
They waited for a few minutes before the golden doors opened, revealing the throne room.
"Her Majesty requests for the presence of the dual user and her companions!" A voice says.
As soon as they stepped inside, the leader of the Cyclops immediately became agitated upon seeing some other Cyclops inside the court.
However, it looked like they didn't seem to care that he was there since they all have stoic expressions on their faces. There are also other creatures present inside the throne them. Mi Young couldn't count how many races there are, but all of them were tricked by the Queen to be her slaves, so there's no explanation to how evil she is.
The lady Seelie who escorted them stopped in front of the throne. She bowed before she regarded the five creatures behind her.
"My Queen, these people want to see Her presence."
The Queen of the Seelies looks nothing but beautiful. She looked just like any other Seelies around, but there was something different about her. For Mi Young, the Queen is far more beautiful and elegant than the others. Even the way she moves her hands and sits in her throne is so graceful. Somehow, it reminded Mi Young of her friend, Shang Min.
"I heard there is a dual user among you." The queen starts to say. She looks at them one by one before her eyes land on Mi Young. "You. Are you a dual user?"
Mi Young steps forward before bowing down in front of her. "You have keen eyes, Your Highness. I am indeed the dual user."
The queen looks somewhat proud of herself as she fixes her position and nods at Mi Young before continuing, "May I see your elements?"
"It would be my honor." Mi Young says before she stands up.
The black haired girl calls out her mana before she converts it into her Pyro and Hydro elements.
Everyone in the throne room gasps in amazement.
The queen nodded her head before she smiled at them. She clasps her hands together and orders everyone to go out.
Kah La Kee stiffens upon seeing some of his people, including his son, moved out from the throne room. But the Cyclops held his agitation as he continued to remain calm even though his insides were boiling seeing his people being treated as nothing.
"Bring them to my tea room." The queen announces.
