Chapter 31: Ancient Evil vs God Of Victory
"Gods please calm yourself! The people do not deserve this!" Erica shouted at Verethragna and Asahi who set down Carrera after copying over the [Authority Over The Earth And Storms], "Well I'm not angry at all" Asahi replied
"Neither are we. This is entertainment."
"Then what about the people?!" Godou shouted at the both of them.
"Do you care about ants beneath your feet?" Asahi asked him, which enraged Godou further but Asahi suddenly teleported in front of him and took the tablet from him, then he threw it to Verethragna, "Take the Stallion back, I do not desire an opponent that is purposely making himself weaker."
"Are you sure about this? You could defeat us you know?"
"I wish to bring the God Of Victory to his knees at his fullest!" Asahi said, while his evil aura started seeping out of him decaying the ground around him, "An Evil God! How could this be?" Erica said as she looked on in fear and awe.
"We commend you! Let us fight to see who is superior!"
"Just what I wanted!" with that both of them launched towards eachother , when they collided shockwaves were sent everywhere and both of them were sent flying backwards. Asahi got up and dusted himself and Verethragna summoned his divinity cutting sword. Asahi raised his hand and lightning started converging in the sky, he brought it down and thunder several times stronger crashed down on Verethragna which he cut down with his sword and asked, "This is Melqart's power? How? No it doesn't matter, Interesting!" With that he once again launched off towards Asahi and kicked him enhanced by the [Camel] sending him flying into the ground forming a crater.
"Man this is so fun!" Asahi shouted and flew towards him while manifesting thousands of arrows made of fire, Asahi punched him in the face which he blocked and punched him back using the [Bull] once more sending him flying, while flying back Asahi snapped his fingers and all of the arrows hit Verethragna who tried to cut them down using the sword of [Warrior] but since they were not formed from divinity they broke the swords and he was bombarded with thousands of fire arrows several times hotter than the Sun. He covered himself with the [Stallion] and reduced the damage by a bit was not able to escape unscathed.
"Hahahaha! This is good! Fight us more!" Asahi who had gotten up said, "You know if you die by my hand you won't be able to revive right? I consume souls for power, even took Melqart's after he lost to my woman and gave over his authority, Man the look on his face when I did, So good!" Asahi said with a smile that reached his ears.
"Ho! If it allows us defeat then we would not mind permanent death!"
"Man I'll never get guys like you, why would you not love being victorious in every fight?"
With that Asahi once more launched himself at Verethragna after coating his arm with Stardust energy and when the punch connected, Verethragna hit the ground so hard it caused the ground to shake. But Asahi was not done yet he opened his hand and closed it, the ground split open and consumed Verethragna, inside the enclosed space lava filled up and burned Verethragna who screamed in pain and blew up the space around him the he used Godspeed to appear next to Asahi and used [Gale] and [Goat] at the same time to hit him with lightning causing the Island on which they were fighting to to be filled with random thunderbolts falling in different places killing thousands of people, who were still alive after the previous, as the news reported natural disasters taking place there.
What's worse was that, whoever died Asahi would take their souls and put them in his dimensional pocket, the number of souls had now reached three million. Verethragna then proceeded to hit him with thousands of Golden swords, while chanting,
"Thus speaketh Lord Mithra.... The sinful shall be met with justice. May spines be crushed, may bones be broken, tendons torn, hair brains and blood mingled and trampled together with the earth. The one unblunted and unapproachable! Oath breaking sinners be purged by the iron hammer of justice!"
A gigantic boar that trampled all in it's path moved towards Asahi and passed through him destroying everything around them, the island was now by all means a gigantic crater
"AHHHHH! is that what you think I'd do well too bad, thank you for the authority, [Raptor]" saying that he blasted off and kicked Verethragna in the face whose clothes were now burnt and torn in many places with blood leaking out.
"What is this destruction?" Erica shouted failing to notice Godou who used Prometheus's power to try and take one of Asahi's powers, when Asahi noticed the beam of energy flying towards him he simply moved away, but it continued to give chase and eventually hit him, but did nothing, "So what was that supposed to do? you just signed your death warrant by doing that, look you're turning to ash" Asahi snapped his fingers and returned his lost life force, "I'll keep you around for now!" looking at him Asahi failed to notice Verethragna flying towards him and punch him but this time Asahi wasn't sent flying back and manifested a golden sword of his own, "How are you using our Authority!?"
"It could be called my own Authority now" In truth, Asahi had copied the [Authority Over Victory] with [Origin Leviathan] and spent his time assimilating it. He used [Goat] and lightning crashed down on Verethragna
"It's stronger than our own! HOW?" with that began a sword fight where Asahi slowly gained the edge, he all of a sudden teleported next to Erica and grabbed her head copying all the memories of Verethragna, he threw her to Godou and immediately fully used [Warrior] and both him and Verethragna were teleported to a land filled with golden swords that rained down on Verethragna, cutting him up.
"Verethragna, you were a good opponent but it's time to go"
He took a sword from the ground and stabbed Verethragna in the head with it, who in his last moments smiled and said, "You were our greatest opponent!" and dissipated as his soul was taken by Asahi.
