Chapter 37: I couldn't think of a name
"You meanie! You didn't come to find me for our fight! I thought you'd come after the Walpurgis but now it's been a Month and I haven't even heard from you!" Milim said while folding her arms while looking at Asahi who was dusting himself off as he got up from the ground.
"Sigh.... I forgot?" He said smiling sheepishly which earned him another punch, once more planting him into the ground.
"You big meanie!" saying that Milim pouted and looked away while the monsters watched on, dumbfounded.
Carrera who was watching from the side boiled with anger at Milim's actions, of course she did someone dared to punch Asahi and that too right in front of her.
However, before she interfered Asahi signalled her to stop and she calmed down but looked towards him with a gaze that said, 'Explain!' He nodded towards her and got up.
"All right don't be mad. How about we fight now?" He said looking at her trying to appease her. "Really?" She looked at him with stars in her eyes. He nodded in confirmation before saying, " Buuut Rimuru's in trouble so how about we deal with that first? I'm sure you came here to help him out too."
She thought for a bit and said, "Bwahahaha this demon lord shall deal with those annoying bugs!" with a hand on her chest.
"Come on now~. Don't call them bugs I love humans." Asahi said in a dramatic voice to which Carrera interjected, "I discreetly remember ya calling em ants yourself in front that blonde witch!"
"Context Carrera!" Asahi responded, to which Carrera raised her finger in an 'Oh!' motion, while Milim who had by now moved to his side poked his cheek and said, "Ne~ why do you love humans?"
"Oh that's simple! I love their expressions and cries when they're in pain~ Also I especially love those that try to resist against all odds only to find despair at the end~ I suppose going by that logic I love ALL living things!" he proclaimed as everyone listening to him sweat dropped except for Carrera who nodded in approval because this was one of the things she loved most about him.
Benimaru fake coughed to get some attention and said, "Lord Asahi, Lady Milim, What should we do about the Invaders?" in a serious voice.
Asahi looked at him with a smile and said, "Oh come on~ Why so serious? Apart from that old Majin with Nuclear Magic Even you could probably decimate their forces I mean it's not like the Falmuth Kingdom has any powerhouses except for their Reincarnators and that Captain of the King's Guard, they just have B-Rank Soldiers as the average, and while that may sound impressive, it's only B-Rank in human terms, They have a total of ten thousand of them among various mages, which could just be dealt with with an anti magic field, after that long range bombardment and voilã their army's done for, and it's not like they have the Church's Support this time around halving their total numbers greatly weakening them, oh I noticed this while coming here." Asahi finished with a nod, only to notice that everyone was looking at him in shock, leaving him to wonder if they noticed the last part was a lie.
Meanwhile everyone else was shocked for a separate reason which if he heard he'd probably hit them all, all of them were simultaneously thinking, 'This Guy Actually Has A Brain!'.
This was understandable as so far in front of everyone his actions would appear very haphazard and hot headed but to an exceptionally intelligent individual there would probably be a pattern in them. So far the only people that had noticed this were Rimuru well in his case it was Great Sage, Demon Lord Leon and the White Primordial Testarossa it was one of the reasons she found him so interesting.
He had essentially provided them with a strategy for the upcoming war that would enable them to win easily, the mood was broken by Carrera who chuckled and said, "Ya actually got a brain!" Asahi looked at her with a deadpan expression as he said ,"Excuse me?" causing everyone around to chuckle a bit.
"Ne~ Asahi shouldn't we wait for Rimuru?" Milim asked him, in response to which Asahi looked in a certain direction and said, "But he's already here."

Rimuru who had been notified of the attack by Ranga bid farewell to his students leaving behind the mask he had gotten from Shizue to comfort Chloe since she wasn't letting him leave.
He was currently flying to Tempest at his top speed while thinking, 'God Damn! I hope they don't get hurt before I get there,This would be so much easier if Asahi was here! Where is that guy when you need him?' flying in to town he noticed a lot of blood and mutilated corpses everywhere, fearing for the worst he moved to the centre of the town where he detected the greatest amount of presences to be met with everyone staring at him causing him to smile awkwardly at them.

Asahi looked at Rimuru for a bit before waving his hand at him saying, "Yo Rimuru! Been a while! how've you been?!" causing Rimuru to look at him strangely and say, "Do....I know you?"
"Oh right! my appearance changed it's Asahi!" he said smiling. "Oh I was wondering why your voice felt so annoying?" Rimuru said as his lips twitched, "Are you still holding a grudge over that time I made you have a nightmare?!" Asahi asked as he walked over to Rimuru, "Yes! You almost made me hate goblins! Thank God these guys are nice, I was almost raped you know! I still have PTSD!" Rimuru semi-shouted at Asahi as he swung his fist in a protesting manner in response to which Asahi looked to the side while whistling.
The mood had turned lax you wouldn't notice they were in the middle of a war if you were to look at this scene well if the blood and corpses littered around were ignored.
Carrera walked to Asahi's side and whispered, "What did you do?" Asahi whispered back, "Dream changing, Goblin Slayer mode, he looks like a girl doesn't he?"
Carrera nodded and walked over to Rimuru,she placed her hand on his shoulder and looked at him with pity while saying, "I am sorry for your loss and for his actions."
"I woke up before anything happened!" Rimuru said as he gave Asahi a hateful look but Asahi found the sidewalk interesting all of a sudden and chose to pay attention to it rather than Rimuru.
Rigurd came running to Rimuru and bowed down while the other monsters followed suit he said, "I apologise for this situation Lord Rimuru!"
Rimuru looked at him and said,"Are there any casualties?!" Rigurd shook his head and said, "None my Lord! most of the Invaders were .....killed by Lord Asahi or the woman with him." he said the last part with a bit of hesitance because even if he was grateful their Lord had prohibited attacking humans while Asahi and Carrera ignored that and killed all of them.
Rimuru looked at Asahi for a bit before bowing and saying, " Thank you! for saving them" Asahi just waved him off and said, "What kind of friend would I be if I let those you consider family die? As tempting it was."
Rimuru nodded and got up, choosing to wisely ignore the last part of what Asahi said.
He then proceeded to order a meeting for all the officials to decide on their course of action on this war.
