Chapter 59: 59. The Phony is Here

The first thing that rings through the haze is the sound of scratching.

More particularly, the sound that a tip of graphite pencil makes when you scratch it on coarse paper.

And the bell drops in my stomach as I stifle an urge to groan.

Of course, he is here.

"Ugh." I grunt, barely lifting my neck off from the soft pillow which carried the slight hint of lavender. I know at this moment, that I am in my own room right now because the maids usually added essential scents when my laundry was done. 

"Have you come to? Adian?" I hear him speak in his leveled smooth voice, not quite deep yet not quite squeaky. I grimace because I have to go through it with this man yet again.
