Chapter 1: A Horrific Day

It was Saturday, John was very excited for Sunday's outing with family. He was playing with his three years old sister. Suddenly, a weird sound came from the kitchen. John and his sister Amalie both were scared. John called his mom who was making dinner in the kitchen. But she didn't replied. Unexpectedly all the lights were switched off. Amalie started crying. John was also scared. John lit a candle, took his sister in his arms and walked towards the kitchen. Suddenly they heard that weird sound again that was coming from the drawing room.John was trembling in fear. As soon as he opened the door all the lights lit up."Surprise!"said a huge crowd which was waiting for John in the drawing room."Aunt Venessa, Uncle Tom!, said John. He was literally confused.All started singing the happy birthday song. After all it was John's birthday.The whole room was decorated by ballons and lights. John was now 8 years old. A large and delicious cake was lying on the table. John gave a beautiful smile.He was very eager to open all the gifts. All ate the cake and went to sleep.
