Chapter 17: The Goddess Festival
In the Kingdom of Dragon , the place Ducan and Draco were was aone of the town named ' Gota '. The population in this town was fairly low and the day Ducan and Draco had a day off was a day of the Festival.all the street were decorated on that day and the people we're busy preparing for it.
Ducan and Draco left the rock mountain to enjoy their day off. The town was rather busy than other day... it was all new to Draco seeing meat everywhere.. Draco would go to one food stall to another and Ducan would buy him everything Draco wanted as the food their cost low.
Ducan was familiar with these place and all the people knew him.. People would always come up and Talk and even gave him free food to eat. Ducan was loved by all people. When Draco saw tha5, he got curiousas to why everyone knew him well..
" Ducan, how did these people knew about you? " asked Draco.
" Oh.. it just while I trained for 20 days I got to know them and helped them " said Ducan.
( In the time limit of 20 minute.. Ducan didn't have much time and always sprinted but when ever he saw people in trouble.. he would helped the people of the town...even it meant to fail the test ).
" it'sa great thing that you helped them " said Draco.
" yeah, leave that.. come, I will show you the well that I have usedto bring the water " said Ducan.
Draco nodded and they both went straight as the well was in the center of the town. After a while they arrived at the place and the well was quite old.. it had red colour and was made up of bricks.
Draco jumped at the side of the well and said " Ducan I'm thirsty.... ".
Ducan then grabbed the rope and pulled it and the bucket filled with water came up.. he grabbed the bucket and poured water into Draco's mouth.. while Duacn did that Draco opened his mouth wide open and drank it. After Draco finished drinking.. Ducan dropped the bucket inside the well.
" Draco , Now that you seen the well. Let's go to the main festival..." said Ducan..
" Oh... I thought why the whole town was decorated with flowers and things... it's because of the festival " said Draco.
" Yes , it is.. I've also heard the Festival was going to held today " said Ducan and continued " and I think master Amep gave usthe day off because maybe he wanted us to celebrate the Festival too ".
" But what is this festival about? " questioned Draco.
" I don't know.... the people only told me about the Festival but let's ask that grandma " answered Ducan.
Ducan and Draco both went towards a grandma who was standing there for a while..
" Grandma, Can you tell me about this festival? " asked Ducan.
" Young boy " smiled grandma and continued " of course.. the Festival is called the Goddess Festival.. as the first God's Avatar was a person that got female deity's powers.. and today was the day the first God's Avatar was chosen from the kingdom of Dragon. Every year we celebrate this day as God's Avatar saved us from monstes. that's what my mother told me "
And again " But I have never seen God's Avatar .. and I've heard from some people that when Earth is about to face grave danger.. the avatars are chosen " .
Ducan thanked the Grandma for telling them about festival. Right after that a young women came while she called her grandma and left..
" Draco.. Do you know about God's Avatar? " asked Ducan as he looked Down at Draco.
Draco jumped at the side of his left shoulder and replied " No , I don't know about them... After all my home and kinds were killed by previous Demon king.. After we won the battle I stayed at forest and lived there. You were the first human I saw after all that " .
Ducan then thought to himself "Etheus also told us about the god's Avatar but in this moment no one is chosen then that means there is a chance that someone might get chosen as the Demon king wants to destroy the Earth ".
While he thought that Draco licked Ducan's cheek and said " Let's go to the main festival..".
Ducan smiled as he nodded and went to the place were the main festival was occurred. They arrived at that place.. the place were surrounded by lights ,people and stall... it was beautiful. As it had already got dark.. the light shined way more and people dranked alcohol.. played cards and laughed ... Ducan and Draco went to shops and ate food there.
After a while they got exhausted and sat at the chair which was on the side of the tea shop AND right at that moment a male person screamed..
" THE FIREWORKS ARE GOING TO START ".
The people cheered even louder for a while...Ducan and Draco also felt happy... they were going to see fireworks the first time So they were getting excited.. but that's one Ducan heard weird noises so he looked at the left side.. and he saw three guys kicked something and got curious.
" Draco.... you are exhausted So, wait here for a while.. I need to check on something " said Ducan.
Draco was exhausted So he stayed there and Ducan walked toward the three guys.. there were many lights on this festival but the place they were didn't reached the lights but Ducan got closer he saw a young boy on the ground pretty beaten up and wanted to go there to help..but Ducan felt something strange when he looked at that boy dark coloured eyes and waited there..
" Hey... you reddish hair... speak... Samon right what a weried name...hahaha" said the guy on the middle.
" yeah... answer him.. give me the money " angred the guy of the left as he kicked.
The guy on the right didn't uttered a single words and just used his legs to kick him on side of his body.
At that moment a fat guy with the bucket on his head was about th pass them and that when Samon spoke " Hey he is calling you " as he pointed at the back.
The guy in the middle trunked back and his shoulder collided with that guy's stomach and the bucket on his head fell on the middle guy's head. The bucket was filled red chilly so his eyes burned as he scremed.. the guyon the left and right with the fat guy panicked and started to him the guy.. and thats when Ducan ramen and grabbed Samon hands and ran far away..
After a while they stopped... Samon panted as he was short on breath were as Ducan was fine ( guess his training paid off ).
" Let go " angred Samon.
Ducan let of off his and said " Are you fine?... you were great. I thought I felt something strange.. you had a plan to get away from them ".
Samon glared at Ducan and turned his back on him and started to left.. but Ducan wanted to talk to him more so he ran and again grabbed his right hand.. and when he turned back his eyes turned Firery red as that of candle but at the same time fireworks began to start..
" Let go off my hands " irked Samon as he looked down.
And when Samon looked up his eyes were normal and after that he left....
