Chapter 14: Furious King

Oliver was sitting with Himiko on his lap, who was happily eating a 'Bloodsicle'. She got blood donations from pretty much everyone in the Kings, as well as stock blood that they ordered from a hospital that was used to such orders for quirks that required ample blood to use.

With her legs swinging slightly, gently tapping against the side of Oliver's shin while he was using his left hand to write while his right arm loosely hanged around her small waist to keep her against them. It had been some time since they had gotten her and everyone loved her the more they got to meet her.

They had gotten her meeting set up with a friend the Kings have made recently in their pursuit to take care of children and people who got the short side of the stick, a local therapist that was good at their job, a joke to other therapists since instead of money, they focused on actually trying to help people.

It's only been a few weeks since the sessions have started, but there is a noticeable improvement in her overall behavior, much happier and far quicker to smile and laugh, no longer being too haunted about her previous living arrangements.

Oliver had learned apparently in this body of his, he is ambidextrous, being able to use both hands such as easy as he could use his dominant hand. Which allowed him much easier of a time dealing with Himiko's clinginess while doing the paperwork he needed to do.

He was actually currently finishing the paperwork for two things, one. To officially adopt the young Princess as his own child, and two, to enroll her into school. He only decided to do the adoption when Himiko herself had asked him to be the one to do it.

With a quick signature he set the pen he was using down and leaned back. "Alright Princess, I'm finished, like I promised let's go shopping to get you that new handheld game console and the electronic book reader that you wanted."

She began to bounce with excitement on his knee, having finished her popsicle. Due to the betterment of her diet, and overall treatment she looked much healthier than she had, the dark circles have left her eyes to show her as a healthy six-year-old. ''Oh Oh Oh! Can we get candy while we're out?"

Oliver caught her cheek, pinching it as he began to pull, her face stretching as he did. "Your cute antics won't work on me, Princess, I know you talked Kiga into getting you some sweets just yesterday, and you know the rules. Your intake of sugar is controlled until your diet and quirk settle."

"Ow OW OW! OKAY!" With her cheek released she huffed, bouncing off his lap as she ran out of his office, down the hall, he heard her voice yell out.

"OLIVER'S BULLYING ME AGAIN!"

Oliver grumbled, he didn't really say any words, more incoherent nonsense. Putting his phone, wallet, and grabbing his keys he stood from his desk, grabbing the documents he just finished signing he first stopped by Ko's office. The door was open.

Knocking on the door to announce his presence, a habit he's started to have since learning how to hide his presence, sometimes he occasionally does it subconsciously, and he's scared more than just one of the Kings by seeming to appear like a ghost.

Inside was Ko sitting on the couch in his office, chatting with a rather beautiful woman whose belly looked ready for a kid to come out at any time. Seeing the both of them he raised a hand as he set the papers down onto Ko's desk.

Walking over to them he smiled. "Good to see you again Aoi, how is the pregnancy?"

Ko grinned upon hearing the boss call his sister by her name, the woman responding, the tone of her voice was bright and soothing, already sounding like a mother.

"It's doing wonderful! Other than needing help occasionally I'm really excited for my son." While she spoke a hand of hers went to her stomach to rub on it softly.

Olivers smiled to her before he spoke again. ''That's good to hear, you and your husband are very lucky. The Princess will be glad to have a little sibling herself soon."

Aoi's smile became radiating to that, at first she wasn't sure about Oliver, or the Kings themselves, but after having been allowed a look into what they did, she felt much more at ease, and also getting to know Oliver better has made it much easier. "Of course! It's so good to see little Himiko running around and happy unlike how she was when she first got here. I'm also grateful for her for letting me practice being a mother."

Oliver chuckled, nodding. "I can't thank you enough, the attention and kindness you showed her had already gone a far way in helping her adjust to a better life."

"Oh, no need! It was my pleasure, but if you want to say thank you, let me hug you for once!"

Oliver seemed to immediately struggle with something, he wasn't a hugger, unlike Aoi and Ko, who were open with their emotion and loves to get physical while doing so, Oliver wasn't the type. But one couldn't hurt, right? Not like it would make it so every time Aoi could she would get a hug out of him, and in turn would make Ko hug him more.... Little did Oliver know? He was wrong, very wrong.

Leaning down her brought an arm around her upper back to lift her slightly into the hug he gave her, her arms wrapping around his chest and squeezing him tightly. Aoi herself didn't notice it, but Oliver did. When she hugged him her muscles relaxed slightly.

Subconsciously Aoi was still tense a bit around Oliver, something about finally being able to hug him like a right of passage to fully trusting him. Once he pulled away he kept a hand on her shoulder, giving a reassuring squeeze. "Don't worry, if you or yours ever need any help, you just let one of us know, Ko helps us a lot, and everyone loves you here."

Aoi's smile was something that could just light up a room, her hand raising to squeeze Oliver's hand as well. ''Of course Oliver, and thank you. For helping Ko find something he can put his effort into, and making a difference like everyone here is."

With that, she let his hand ago and he stepped back before leaving he turned to Ko. ''I left the documents for Himiko's school and adoption on the desk, I'm going out with her and Kiga, call us if anything happens."

Ko bowed his head a bit before speaking. ''Have a good shopping trip Boss!"

With that Oliver left, thinking over the adoption papers he shook his head gently, he had actually hoped he could somehow convince Aoi to take in Himiko, who in turn was more than willing to, almost demanded to be the one to do so. Her husband was also a good man, and it was around that time after they decided that, is when Himiko busted into the room and DEMANDED Oliver be her Father instead.

With neither of them being able to argue and Aoi instead becoming her 'God Aunt' it made Oliver aware, that he really needed to find a Mother for Himiko, he was trustworthy of his skills to raise her, but he understood that having a proper Mother figure could mean the world for her.

Going outside he already found Kiga leaning against the car with Himiko bouncing in the back seat, absolutely rocking out to music only she could hear, this reminded him that he would try to get her and Kyoka Jiro to meet up, Himiko seemed to love music, and as far as Oliver remembered, Jiro's family was all about music and it's art.

Waving to Kiga the both of them got in, Oliver getting in the front while Kiga got into the back, helping Himiko buckle in they began the drive to the electronic store.

Once they got there with Himiko bouncing around, they got her the handheld game console, as well as the tablet that she could download books on and read them easier, they went to pay. However when Oliver scanned his card there was a soft buzzer sound, hearing it Oliver looked up, a brow raised?

"I'm sorry Sir, your card declined?" The Cashier looked somewhat, intimidated by the two, both of the people before him were built like professional wrestlers, and both of them looked to be wearing expensive suits, with the girl who all be it adorable, was also wearing what looked to be an expensive blood-red sundress.

Oliver stared a moment before smacking his hand against his forehead. "Sorry, that's my fault. I completely forgot I needed to head to the bank and get a higher-tiered card. This one doesn't like large transactions for safety reasons.''

The cashier released a sigh of relief to that as he watched Oliver taking out cash directly and paying. It may not happen a lot, but sometimes when a card is declined, the customer goes into a fit about it, and it's really stressful. Handing the well-dressed guy his change back.

Once Oliver got the change, he gave all the coins to Himiko, Oliver was trying to teach her about money, and to do so he would give her the coins that he had, and she would tell him how much she had, and if she properly saved the money, he would give her a bonus.

Tomoki actually had this pretty neat system he was setting up for her and others when they were older to help them learn about investing and stock markets. But that would wait until Himiko was older.

With the change in hand, they headed back into the car and Oliver began to drive to the bank.

Himiko from the backseat was counting it all out before handing it to Kiga who would keep it in his pocket so she could put it into her piggy bank later. '' I now have 15023 Yen!"

Hearing the number Oliver raised a brow, looking up to the rearview mirror. ''That's four hundred le-.''

He was interrupted by a Himiko who exclaimed loudly. ''You don't need to know! But I promise Kiga approved of the purchase!''

Hearing that the eye in the mirror shifted to look at Kiga, who had a knowing smile and simply nodded. Oliver shrugged, guess he would find out eventually.

Once they were at the bank, Oliver passed some cash to Kiga. ''Go get some hotdogs for us for lunch, I'll be right back, just need to sign some paperwork and I'll be getting the new card.''

Kiga nodded while the Princess threw her hands into the air shouting. ''YAY! I'm going to get so much ketchup on mine!''

Oliver shook his head before leaving them.

Entering into the bank it only took him about twenty minutes to get everything done, with his new card the old one was cut multiple times, standing up he walked out, a few cops driving by with their sirens on. Oliver watched before making his way over to the hot dog stand where they had gone, only to see it surrounded by people. An ambulance was also there, someone in a gaudy costume also there, a Hero?

Seeing it Oliver got a bad feeling and he jogged over, getting through the crowd, he came to see someone getting loaded onto a stretcher, it was Kiga.

Oliver made his way through, no longer being gentle as he sent multiple people flailing as he stepped through the crowd to Kiga's side. Seeing his Boss Kiga looked terrified.

Oliver wasn't even near before he shouted. A bleeding wound on his side and what looked to be a knife wound on his knee.

''Villians! They were running from hero's, East! On foot, one of them took The Princess, he was way too fast!"

Oliver was moving before his mind processed the information, he was in full sprint east. His eyesight was much better than most already picking out a large number of cops further down the road surrounding a building.
