Chapter 1: Prologue

(POV :- Grand Maester Samwell Tarly)

Skagos

Off the far north-eastern coast of the Seven Kingdoms lies a foreboding cluster of islands. There are seven islands large enough to appear on maps and many smaller clusters of rocks dotting their shores. The largest island is known as Skagos.

From north to south Skagos measures about 225 miles. The island is about 145 miles wide at its widest point. The island is large and mountainous, with significant interior areas of highlands and mountains.

The island is windswept and grim, lashed by fierce storms in autumn and winter and effectively cut off from the outside world. It is, however, inhabited. The Skagosi, or "stoneborn", are a hardy people, known for their ferocity and savagery in battle. In the distant past, the Skagosi would cross the Bay of Seals on boats to raid and trade with the Kingdom of the North. They were defeated by King Brandon IX Stark who drove off their raiding parties, built a fleet and invaded Skagos itself. He routed their armies, destroyed their ships and shipyards and forbade them the sea. Unruly vassals at the best of times, the Skagosi rose again in rebellion during the reign of King Daeron II Targaryen, forcing Lord Barthogan Stark to re-invade the island. The Skagosi were defeated but Lord Barthogan was slain.

Locations on the island of Skagos are speculative. Three major Skagosi clans or houses control the main island: the Crowls of Deepdown, the Stanes of Driftwood Hall and the Magnars of Kingshouse. However, they disdain the presence of septons or maesters, so the fine details of the geography of the islands remains a mystery.

The Skagosi have limited contact with the mainland, although they remain vassals of the Starks of Winterfell. It is known that they honour the tradition of taking the black: a Crowl served as Lord Commander of the Night's Watch a thousand years ago and a Stane served as First Ranger for a time.

Other details about the island are sparse. We know that the Skagosi are hairy and there is a suggestion of a contact with the distant eastern island of Ib. How plausible this is, with Ib located over three thousand miles to the east, is unclear. The Skagosi remain deeply immersed in the culture of the First Men, continuing to speak the Old Tongue and worshipping the old gods of the forest. The Skagosi are also known to trade in pelts and obsidian – dragonglass – blades and arrowheads, hinting at possible volcanic activity on the Skagosi islands. Another curious claim is that the Skagosi use "unicorns" as both steeds and beasts of burden. Some research by maesters suggest that these "unicorns" may be no more than a hardy species of goat with a single horn, but the truth of the matter remains unclear.

Overall they are one of most backward and mysterious people on this continent.

These were the documents the citadel possessed.

But if someone visited the island now, They will find that the Maesters are wrong about their knowledge.

Because now those are just the history of that island. Now the stoneborns are one of the most superior people of Westeros.

They have a shipyard that can rival the Arsenal of Bravos.

They have the best naval strength in the world. They have one of the advanced naval vessels that can not be matched in size or durability.

A navy has command of the sea when it is so strong that its rivals cannot attack it directly. This dominance may apply to its surrounding waters or may extend far into the oceans, With command of the sea, an island can ensure that its own military and merchant ships can move around at will, while its rivals are forced either to stay in port or to try to evade it. It also enables free use of amphibious operations that can expand ground-based strategic options. Unlike the Ironborns, Skagosi has more advantages because they have the most dangerous climate, and use it effectively against their foe.

And because of their naval superiority, they made connections with the world and gained influence, power, wealth and prosperity.

Even if someone and somehow defeated their navy, The invading forces can't actually conquer the island. Because they will be facing one of the destructive armies in the world, The War Mammoth division of Skagos.

the Mammoths are living totems of might and power - beasts who go where they will and destroy what they will, and are so considered sacred creatures in their own right, that to tribes which through fortune, sorcery, or the favour of the gods come to bring one of these creatures into the fold (for none can ever be truly tamed), great honour and fear is attached. The Mammoths roam all across the true north, feeding off blasted scrubland and thorny barrens and, from the shores of the Shivering Sea.

The greatest warriors of the Skagosi clans ride into battle on their backs, fighting from fortified wooden platforms while others, given over to the tribe's wargs-, carry the mighty war-altars of the Old Gods, held aloft and inviolable for all below to see.

And a team of Mammoth division can cause terror, making its melee target rout. The enemy that causes terror are immune to terror and fear themselves.

There were many military purposes for which The mammoth could be used. In battle, war mammoths were usually deployed in the centre of the line, where they could be useful to prevent a charge or to conduct one of their own. Their sheer size and their terrifying appearance made them valued heavy cavalry. Off the battlefield, they could carry heavy materiel, and with a top speed of approximately 30 km provided a useful means of transport.

That's how they gained their independence from the Starks.

That's not all, Their main power is the economy and unity.

The people of Skagos exports some of the most expensive and demanded things to the world.

1. Dragon glass accessories.

2. White stones for building or repair castles

3. spacial drink called Firewine.

4.Whale meat, bones, and oils.

5. Ice.

6.Precious Gemstones.

7. Unicorns for those wealthy animal collectors.

And a business Haven for the Marchants and those who seek to become one. People from all over the world come to that place.

Well, 40 years ago they were still the backward cannibals. But everything changed when a baby born with the blessing of the old gods. It is because of him that the cave dwellers become the most civilized nation in the world.

Then a knock on the door disturbed my writing, "Who is it ?"

A voice answered, " It is I Grand Maester".

" Well, come in my Lord Hand, and what can do for you?"

The dwarf Lannister replied, " Just visiting grand Maester and call me Tyrion, oh... is that a new book your writing?"

I replied, " aye, It is.!"

The imp looked very interested, and replied, "And what is the title of the book?"

I replied, " Well, it's not perfect but I like to call it 'A Warrior of Skagos'.
