Chapter 14: 14- Elite Skeleton
Entering the very dark cave, Mark cautiously moved forward, he was confident on his skills when it comes to fighting.
But it doesnt mean he will always charge forward without care, Mark honed his instincts to the max when the old fogeys taught him.
He could even detect any emotions of people who were looking at him, no matter if it was jealousy, hatred, praise, or even amazement, Mark could perceive them all.
And the one he was the most sensitive of, was danger.
And this cave was giving off danger, Mark had already adapted to his new weak body, he doesnt move so fast, nor he had powerful strength either.
It could be said his strength right now was at its weakest.
Mark took a deep breath and placed torches on the walls to light up the place, he saw some iron ingots, copper ingots and coals on the way but he ignored them for now.
The feeling of danger being everywhere is not something that he could leisurely mine to.

Mark immediately tilted his head and avoided the arrow that was going for his head, he immediately turned toward where the arrow came from and saw a skeleton on the corner.
It was wearing a golden chest armor and had a bow that was glowing in purple color.

'An Elite Skeleton?' Mark thought, it was still an Skeleton but it was more powerful than the normal skeletons, the speed of its arrow was twice faster, and from what Mark noticed, the arrow will burn what it touches.
That was not all, there are also few normal skeleton monsters behind it.
They all pulled the strings of their arrows and made it fly towards Mark.
Mark immediately swayed his body and dodged all of the arrows, his movements were fast and smooth.
Once he dodged every arrows, he immediately jumped away to take cover.
"There's too many!" Mark exclaimed as he took a peek but he immediately took hid head back to cover and another arrow went pass by him.
Skeletons have a ridiculous accuracy when using a bow, they also move fast for a skeleton, Mark could hear their skeleton feet tapping on the ground.

"I'll be damned if I dont take this seriously" Mark sighed then stood up, he took out the stone sword from his inventory.
He then took a deep breath, he waited for a while until he heard that the skeletons were only a few meters away from him.
*Swoosh!
Mark came out from his cover and dashed as far as he could, the moment he appeared, multiple arrows came flying at him.
An arrow flew towards his face and was only a few inches away from hitting his forehead.
*Clang!
The arrow flew away as Mark deflected it with the stone sword, Mark then dashed towards the closes skeleton and slashed its skeleton hand off, then charged towards the other skeletons doing the same manner.
His speed may not be fast but Mark still parried, blocked and evaded all of the arrows that came flying to him.
*Clang!
Mark dismembered the last normal skeleton, even though Skeletons have health, it was pitifully low and once they lost their weapons, they were just going to stand there and watch Mark.
Mark then finished all of the remaining normal skeletons and dodged the arrows that has been aiming for him.
The Elite Skeleton, Mark ignored it earlier because it would be hard fight the elite skeletons because dismembering it doesnt work as it has golden armor.
And it seemed like this skeleton is not easy foe either, when Mark is usually fighting skeletons, he will feel safe when get in range close to them, but this elite skeleton.
It was giving him a dangerous vibe even when in close combat, Mark followed his senses and decided to change his strategy.
Mark charged towards the skeleton and when he was in close range, the stone sword on his hand extended forward launching towards the skull of the skeleton.
*Clang!
The sound of collision resounded, Mark immediately backed away and looked at the elite skeleton in front of him.
It was far more intelligent than he had thought, it actually blocked hid attack with its bow that was even harder than steel.
The Elite Skeleton lowered its bow and gave a mocking smile towards Mark, it was terrifying but a skeleton with a mocking expression was a strange scene.
Mark didnt lose his cool but the smile on his face grew wider, he could not help but just get excited fighting the elite skeleton.
*Swoosh!
*Clang!
Mark charges towards the elite skeleton and blocked the incoming arrow, he then slashed towards the elite skeleton who raised its guard and blocked his attack.
But Mark wasnt done yet, he used s footwork called cat walk and immediately rushed towards the side of the skeleton.
He then slashed towards the open side of the armor.
[You have dealt a damage on the Elite Skeleton, -25 health]
Mark then struck one more time successfully taking away 50 points of the Elite Skeleton health.
Well, it still have tons of health but Mark finally had an idea how to defeat the elite skeleton.
