Chapter 47: Find your husband
Daiyu regained her posture and walked up to Weng Lie, he smirked with a look of satisfaction while gazing at leader Chang's lifeless body.
"He's so lucky I wasn't here to reap him to shreds."
He glanced at his demon's. "Search the whole place and find Li Jie, we'll know if he's actually alive or not."
His demons nodded to his words and searched the whole place.
Daiyu took a deep breath and searched as well.
Li Jie finally broke from the spell but it was too late to do anything now, the deed has already been done.
He averted his gaze at Chyou fen who fell to her knees, tears flowing from her eyes.
"Is Zhang Wei and leader Chang really dead?! will I never see them again?"
He crouched next to her level. "Don't think like that, they're fine, they've just gone to another world were they'll be safe okay?" he tried to reassure her.
She nodded and snuggled close to him out of fear, they suddenly heard a huge bang gaining their attention, Li Jie knew they would definitely search for him.
"Come on, let's hide."
The basement was dark so it formed a great camouflage for the both of them, they hid behind the curtains and remained quiet.
The door to the basement creaked open, Chyou fen gasped in fear but Li Jie covered her mouth with his palm to stop her from screaming in fear.
Daiyu slowly walked in, she glanced at the environment, it was dark and gloomy, could Li Jie have escaped already?
"It's so dark." she uttered in a whisper but walked in further like she was curiously pulled in, Li Jie remained silent, he would have stepped out if he was alone but for Chyou fen's safety, he had to remain hidden.
After a few glances but no sign of Li Jie, she gave up and turned around, on her way to the door, she heard a sudden sound like someone stepped on a wood, she immediately turned around.
She could easily sense where the sound came from, one of her little antics, her gaze remained on the curtain like she could see through it and that minute, she knew immediately who was behind the curtain and a smile formed on her lips, Li Jie is truly alive!.
She wanted to go to him but stopped at her tracks at the sound of an unexpected voice.
"Daiyu, did you find anything?" Weng Lie asked.
Daiyu immediately retraced her steps, no, she can't go to him or else Weng Lie might hurt him, although she longed to see him again, it's a sacrifice she had to make.
She turned around and headed back to meet Weng Lie.
Li Jie let out a sigh of relief, he glanced down at Chyou fen who was still stricken by the whole thing.
He stroked her hair calmly. "Are you alright?"
She nodded. "I want to be like you remember?, so I have to stay strong like you, I won't cry anymore."
She wiped her tears away and Li Jie couldn't help but feel guilty, it's his fault Zhang Wei and leader Chang are gone and his little princess is going through so much all because of him, why does everyone who tends to be around him get hurt?
Daiyu walked up to Weng Lie, his demons were with him as well, the whole place looked disorganized and scattered.
"Did you find anything?" he asked.
The demon's shook their heads. "No, be was nowhere to be seen."
Wang Shu averted his gaze at Daiyu. "What about you?"
"I didn't find any trace of him."
He eyed her suspiciously. "Are you sure?, or did you let his charms take control over you."
Daiyu rolled her eyes at him. "There was no trace of him."
"Then where can he be?!" he kicked a chair over in anger.
"Are you sure he's actually alive?" Daiyu asked.
Wang Shu smirked. "We'll search the whole of Bixia and if it turns out in the end that Li Jie truly isn't alive, I'm going to reap the head of those guards off their body."
He stormed out, Daiyu let out a breath the minute he was gone, his demons trailing behind him, thank goodness he believed her, she just hopes Mei jingjing gets here on time before he leaves.
She walked out as well.
The minute they where out of sight, Li Jie and Chyou fen stepped out, they walked up to leader Chang's lifeless body, Li Jie knelt in front of him while Chyou fen tried to fight her tears.
She walked up to Zhang Wei's lifeless body, his neck had turned red and weng Lie's nail mark where visible on Zhang Wei's skin, he must have been in so much pain, she fell to her knees and couldn't stop the tears from rolling down her eyes.
"Zhang Wei, you can't do this, come back, whose going to train with me from now on, you can't leave me alone like this." she shook him gently but he wasn't responding to her words.
Li Jie's hands balled into tight fist his knuckles turned white, leader Chang laid in the pool of his own blood.
"I caused all this." he said. "It's my fault he's gone, but I make a promise that I will avenge your death no matter what it takes!" his eyes flickered, turning from golden to white, he glanced at leader Chang's sword and slowly took it, he walked up to Chyou fen and got her to her feet.
"Come on, let's take you back to your parents okay?"
She nodded and held Li Jie's hand, they both stepped out of leader Chang's home.

At Lijiang kingdom, Haorang and Chao Xua remained in the dungeon looking grief stricken not untill a maiden rushed over to them with a grin.
"Haven't you guys heard the news!" she said but they seemed uninterested to her words.
"Go away before you get caught."
She shook her head. "No, princess Mei jingjing asked me to deliver a message to you."
At the hearing of Mei jingjing, they glanced at the maiden.
"What message did she send?"
"The young prince, master Li Jie is still alive!" she exclaimed.
Haorang and Chao Xua gazed at her in disbelief, they moved closer grabbing unto the irons of the cell.
"W... what did you just say?!"
"Your master, our master is still alive, he survived the blast and is alive."
Chao Xua felt he just heard the best news of his life, he smiled.
"Young master is alive?"
The maiden nodded with a grin and hurriedly left, Haorang and Chao Xua exchanged glances and smiled, getting to their feets and jumping happily.
"Our young master is alive, our young master is alive!" they chanted making the rest prisoners gaze at them ackwardly like they had lost it.
They gazed at each other. "If young master is still alive, what are we doing here?" Chao Xua said.
Haorang smirked. "Weng Lie isn't in the kingdom at the moment, we just have to get past his demons."
Chao Xua flexed his muscles. "Being in the cell for a while, I actually can't wait to fight some demons."
They both smirked.

Mei jingjing finally got to leader Chang's home, she quickly got down from her horse, the house seemed quiet but she was so engrossed in finding Li Jie she didn't really bother.
She barged into the house but there was nothing at sight, everywhere was dead silent, she walked further gazing around, where could Li Jie be?
"Li Jie." she called out as she gazed around the house.
"Leader Chang."
She got to his dojo but stopped at her tracks at the sight of something unbelievable.
Leader Chang remained lifeless on the floor, Mei jingjing's eyes widened at the sight of him, she covered her mouth with both palms to stop herself from screaming, what on Earth happened here?!!
What shocked her more was the dead body of the little boy beside him, she ran up to them crouching beside them.
"Leader Chang!" she shook him gently but got no response, she glanced at the little boy, the mark on his neck already made her realize who hurt him.
"Weng Lie was here." she felt her heart sank, oh no!, did she arrive too late?!, could Weng Lie have taken Li Jie already or probably killed him?!, she immediately shook the thought away, it's not possible.
She couldn't stop the tears which rolled down her eyes, she was too late, how will she handle this now!, where will she go from here.
She cried her eyes out feeling helpless, how is she going to stop Weng Lie all alone?, it felt like the last hope she had was slowly fading away.
"Stop crying, you're wetting my clothes."
Mei jingjing froze up at the sound of the voice, who was that?!
She glanced down and met leader Chang's gaze, her eyes widened she bristled back in total shock.
Leader Chang gazed at her.
"Don't be surprised, your endless crying wasn't letting me rest in peace I had to come back."
Mei jingjing gazed at him in awe, he's really alive?, she crawled closer to him.
"Leader Chang, is that really you?" she had to ask.
"I don't really have much time, I only came back to tell you how you can find Li Jie."
Mei jingjing's stared at him open eyed. " H.... he's really alive?"
"Yes." he suddenly coughed out blood trying to hold back the pain they inflicted on him.
"He's on his way to Chyou fen's home."
"Chyou fen?!"
"Yes, he's going to her place, follow the path and you might see him."
Mei jingjing's eyes brightened up a little, she was extremely glad to hear he was alright and extremely greatful to leader Chang as well.
"Thank you so much."
He chuckled. "Don't thank me, go to your husband, he needs you more than anything."
Mei jingjing felt a ray of light was sent back to her again, she's going to find her husband no matter what!
