Jemma and Pippa both cleaned up and rested as soon as they were in their rooms. A hot bath had been poured in both rooms and clothing that fit was also provided for each.
Several hours after Prince Granthen left there was a knock on the door.
" My lady, if you would, the King is ready to see you."
Jemma nodded for Pippa to follow her as they left the room, following the servant down the hall.
The servant lead to the King private chamber. The King was sitting at a desk and stood when they entered.
"Jemma, It's nice to meet you. My son said you came through the well inside the castle. I didn't know anyone knew the address, how did you get it?"
"Address? I just held my hands over it and pictured the castle."
"First Wizard Randal said he dialed an address and the quick silver appears."
" I hadn't heard of the wells until I met Pippa, she showed me one and I just knew instinctually how to make the quicksilver appear."
"Can you and Pippa keep it a secret? "
"I can as for Pippa you'll have to ask her. I've only known her a few hours."
"I can keep a secret as long as I am with you. I do not know how I will feel once your charm has worn off. I believe she has inadvertently bewitched me your highness." Pippa answered.
"That will have to do for now. My son has convinced me to get you a small cottage on the city. First Wizard Randal wanted you in the outer bailey but I followed my son's directions. While you are in training you will live in the city an equal distance from the castle and the wizards keep. I need you to train with not only the wizard but a witch and a sorcerer and that's just for now. You have an affinity with all magics and that's unheard of. As far as I know they are like oil and water."
"I don't know anything about magic. I didn't even know I had magic until First Wizard Randal appeared in my room and cast some kind of spell on me."
"I know the feeling of sorts. My son was a normal boy until just before his sixteenth then he started getting debilitating headaches that the wizard said were unregulated magic. The wizard was able to relieve his headaches and start his training. His aptitude is prophecy."
"Every time I got a headache I would work it didn't matter the task it would relieve my headache."
"So you have a natural way to rid yourself of them?"
"I guess. I don't know how, magic just comes naturally to me. I get an impression of how to do things and do it, its automatic."
"Amazing, I thought all wizards had to be trained or they died."
"Apparently not all."
The king laughed. "Apparently. It is nice to know you have a sense of humor. One of my guards will escort you to the cottage."
