Chapter 4: new source
Getting himself in a position where he can better aim for the group of people, he trusted his feet in air, which propelled him towards the earth and towards the group of unsuspecting humans that had been shooting at the zombies that were coming towards them from the ground.
Since they were shooting at what was infront of them, they didn't see the danger that was moving at a fast speed towards them. While they had focused on the zombies, suddenly something fell from the sky and landed right in their mince. Before they had a chance to even turn around, they had tendrils get stuck inside their hearts, killing them instantly and then get devoured by the same tendrils.
And with it came an influx of memories, which sent his mind into a spiral. He came out of it soon as he was able to digest their memories regarding this world and their knowledge while taking their experiences to making itself better.
In between these people there were soldiers that had combat training as well as survival and a lot of knowledge. Which helped him condition his body even more. Looking around he found that the zombies were not attacking him and passing by him, and boy he was glad they did. since in that moment of weakness even if he wouldn't die, but having hundreds of thousands of zombies attacking you trying to tear you apart was not something he wanted to experience himself.
This was a good listen to him, the next time the memory influx will not be so severe since this was the first time he had taken the memories his virus was new to it, so that happened. But now the virus was getting adapted to the sudden influx of memories. the neurons in his brain were getting strengthen and being remade to be better and faster, this not only helped him in getting better control over his body but also made his perception faster and made his coordination with his body along side his knowledge of martial arts and other stuff better. Helping him better retain his memories as well as help him in not forgetting his memories under the influence of so many other.
Now looking at gains he had find he started his massacre once more, attacking the zombies and humans a like, getting them, devouring them, turning them into mass, evolving his body. And with the memories he had a better info of this world and of the places the people would be and how to get there.
This continued on like this for the day until he saw that they no longer helped him, so he either had to find a stronger zombie or a human that was stronger and had training in different fields. He needed people that had knowledge of medicine, engineering, technology, and other fields. The Umbrella company had technology that put their people to sleep, they had their own scientist and people as well as their clone technology. Those things can help him, but he didn't know where they were, but he knew who to look for to find them.
Since this was the first day since the outbreak he knew just where to find the people he needed to look for, since they will get him to his target. He just couldn't wait to consume more and get better, when suddenly he thought back to what his thought were just now. He only cared about consuming, and didn't cared about them, maybe because he was a virus and all, but he really hoped that he doesn't lose himself to this and be able to retain himself. He needed to be self aware and not let his instincts take control of him.
