Chapter 1: CHAPTER 1: Fresh Start
"Daniel, I like you. And I'm telling you this now cause I can't keep it to myself anymore, aa..and don't worry... I'm not expecting anything in return. This is for you" I give him a chocolate and a letter that I prepared for him and he stares me surprisingly.
"Sa..Sarah..umm..should I take it?" he asked surprisingly.
"Yea.. Yeah take it.. read it and throw it away if you don't like it" I say it in a single breath. He smiled at me hearing that.
"No..Noo.. Thank you Sarah. I'll surely give you something next. See you on Monday. Bye Bye" he left with a smile.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai. The temperature outside is 36-degree Celsius. Please remain seated and do not open the overhead cabins until the seatbelt sign is switched off. Mobile phones may be switched on if you wish. Business class passengers have a priority in deplaning. Passengers who have wheelchair bookings are requested to remain seated. You will be assisted once all the passengers have deplaned. On behalf of Indigo, we thank you for choosing Indigo and hope to serve you soon. Please collect your baggage from belt 5. Thank you!" while the flight attendee announce it I woke up from my worst yet beautiful unforgettable nightmare.
"Ahh.. finally", I take a deep breath looking out of the window. Finally I step out of the airport and it's scorching heat. Feels like I took a hot shower in summer. I hailed a cab and head to my apartment I rented. Moving out is a real struggle indeed. Finally reached my apartment, its located in Andheri West. The security uncle helped me in carrying my baggage.
"Thank you, uncle", I thanked him as I reached my floor.
"Welcome beta", he said politely
"Looks like someone else also moved in recently", I asked him as I saw boxes and cartons lying in front of the door opposite to my Room no.
"Yes, a boy around your age moved in yesterday", he told me putting my luggage in front of my door.
After unpacking and cleaning the house I was out of energy to cook for myself so I ordered a takeout and like that my first day in Mumbai ended.
ALARM BEAPS 9:00 AM
"Ahhh... this alarmm..." I woke up and head to do morning stuff.
After that I made breakfast for myself and video called my parents. I never stayed alone before and now I was already feeling homesick. My college is starting from day after tomorrow so I have two days in hand to settle everything. It's gonna be hectic.
DING!DONG!!
"who might be it now", I opened the door and there was a Delivery boy.
"Hello Ma'am, this is your parcel, please sign it in here", he said.
"But I didn't order anything, maybe there is some confusion", I said him looking at the parcel confusingly because the address was of my house.
"But ma'am the address says it here" "Yeaa..that what I'm thinking...anyway where I need to sign"
I signed and came inside and opened the parcel. There was a small box with a pendant in it and a note attached to it.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON!! THIS TIME I'M NOT THERE WITH YOU TO CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAY TOGETHER. SO I'M SENDING YOU MY PENDANT, WHICH YOU ALWAYS WANTED. HOPE YOU LIKE IT. MUMMA LOVES YOU. TAKE CARE LOVE"
"Awwww..how sweet", I said reading the letter.
"That's not so good reading someone's personal letter Sarah", I thought in my mind.
There was a invoice inside and the address written on it was of my neighbor. So I packed the parcel just the way it was and pressed the doorbell.
DING!DONG!!
No one responded maybe he's not home so I left the box in front of the door with a note attached on it.
AUTHOR'S POV
A boy stepped out of the lift and saw a parcel lying in front of his door. He picked it up and saw a note attached on it.
"HELLO! MR.NEIGHBOUR. YOUR PARCEL WAS MISPLACED. I'M SORRY I OPENED YOUR PERSONAL ITEM WHICH I ACTUALLY DIDN'T MEAN TO. IF ANY PROBLEM WITH THE PARCEL, MY HOUSE IS RIGHT INFRONT OF YOU"

He read it and walked towards Sarah's house and was about to press the door bell when his phone started ringing, it was from his mom.
"Hello! Mom", he answered.
"Happyy Birthdayy DANIEL!!", his mom literelly screamed out of joy.
"Thankk you mom", Daniel replied with a smile.
"Did you got my gift", his mom asked.
"Yess mom, I received it thankk you soo much for that" he thanked his mom.
"It was always for you to began with, I was just waiting for the right time to give you. Your Dad...gave me that, and now I want you to keep it and give it to that special person whom you're meant to be with", his mom said that in a caring tone.
"Yeahh Mom, I will....I'll call you later...I..I gotta go now".
He the cut the call and turned to look Sarah's house and then after a few minutes he pressed a sticky note on her door.
"THANK YOU NEIGHBOUR"
