Chapter 29: Harry Potter

He was again looking at the white-haired young man sitting at the Slytherin table with his usual bored, expressionless expression. Harry felt a strong attraction to the boy and wondered why. Was it the way he looked, the way he acted? Was it the fact that she was the richest person he'd ever met? Harry didn't know, but he almost felt it had to do with his appearance.

If he was honest about it, Pietro was very handsome. Harry didn't like boys or anything like that, actually, but he was honest. If anything was attractive to him, he admitted it without a shadow of a doubt, and Pietro was someone he admired very much. Be it the way he talks, the way he walks, the warmth in his voice when he is displeased with something… Harry still remembered the selection ceremony where Draco Malfoy had been humiliated and put in the Hufflepuff by a student, no less. If there was one thing Harry Potter thought about the boy it was that he was a better person than most within this school. You see, Harry wasn't stupid. After years of being abused in a nursing home... if he can be called that, he didn't make him stupid, but very smart.

He was cut off from the wizarding world and its heritage. The first thing that was noticed when he came to this world was the fact that his key to Gringotts was not with him, or with his uncles who were his only relatives. Knowing that such an important key was given to the half giant by Dumbledore kind of revealed almost everything to the boy. After all why Dumbledore had his key? Was he related to his parents? What if it was because Dumbledore himself didn't take care of him? Why leave them with Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia? Wasn't it the same as condemning him to suffering?

That would open up many more questions. If Dumbledore was the person responsible for his suffering all these years... then what was the reason? Does he have something the old man wants? He hoped that wasn't the case, but the shiver down his spine said otherwise… Harry felt he needed to prepare for the worst and that's what he was going to try to do… if anything, no one died for being cautious.

He sincerely hoped to be able to deceive the faculty in some way...but it wasn't hard after all, everyone assumed he was stupid. Like Ron (a boy who had clearly been instructed to be his friend).

Unfortunately for the professors, Harry Potter was not an idiot. And, for a very simple reason, he never trusted adults. Another good thing was that young Harry was a good actor. As much for others as for himself… so after the selection ceremony when a hat could see in his mind he wondered… could wizards do the same? Considering the hat was created by wizards, the possibility was great, so he spent hours studying the mind and finding out about occlumency and legilimency. Training in the two arts was hardly a job you could do yourself... but he didn't give up.

Of course, no one would know that.

Harry has become an expert at forging thoughts and memories to superimpose his true thoughts and hide them from others. It wasn't impossible for him to be called the master of illusions at that point and that was a good thing because many times a year he felt the pressure in his mind warning intrusions, especially in the classes of the greasy bat who was head of the Slytherin house.

But back to your focus of admiration. Pietro many names Black was weird. He didn't care about classes, he didn't care about the points at home, he didn't care about the fame he had, he didn't draw unnecessary attention.

Even if his presence was more than enough for that.

He also took no initiative in talking to anyone other than the two Slytherin twin princesses, Aarine and Karine, but he didn't refuse when they spoke to him. If Harry needed to describe him, it would be as approachable and discreet. In fact, Harry himself had already experimented with asking questions to a young man his age who looked 10 years older than he was... and young Potter was not disappointed. Pietro neither abused him nor refused to respond... that was when Harry decided he was right.

Pietro was a good person.

If Pietro knew this conclusion from the hero of the wizarding world, he would laugh for hours and hours. Good person? He? That was the most absurd joke he had ever heard. But he didn't know what Harry thought so he couldn't be amused by such nonsense.

But that would not change Mr Potter's mind. Pietro would have told the brat directly that he wasn't a good person and that he should be considered neutral at best, but Harry wouldn't believe it. Pietro was approachable, discreet, intelligent and rich... There were no faults in him. He also didn't seem to hate Muggleborns and Mixedbreds...in fact his books were very much based on Muggle wisdom...think about it now, Pietro himself wore muggle clothes more than school robes and when asked he said "the school rules say I must wear robesat formal meetings and school events...I don't see any of these happening during a class." and then he smoothed his perfectly smooth black shirt and walked with confidence.

That trust was something Harry envied. It was as if the boy had known how it was going to happen and had been prepared for it for years. Harry was just afraid of everything in this world where people invaded their heads whenever and wherever they wanted... but Pietro waltzed in this world as if it were nothing.

All of this served to cement in Harry Potter's young and easily impressing mind an image of perfection. Pietro was the new idol of the Savior, ironically replacing the figure of Dumbledore in the child mind of Harry Potter. In fact, to the little wizard, Pietro was even more impressive than Dumbledore for the simple fact that he was his age and had already achieved so much.

Harry only had an undeserved reputation that made him feel threatened at best.

Honestly when Hagrid showed up and said he was a wizard and famous at it, he felt suffocated. Harry learned the most painful way not to attract attention. When he was 7 and got a higher grade than Dudley... he didn't want to remember that, but it was more than enough warning for him not to be in the spotlight... It didn't help that his fame was that of a defeater of a Dark lord and that that same lord's minions were still roaming the world committing crimes and more hate crimes... that fame was one he simply did not want.

Unfortunately, everything was going to make this impossible. The abomination fame only increased widely when a troll attacked Hermione. This was not a situation he had expected and his whole being was asking, no, ordering him to abandon the thick-haired girl and run away, but he couldn't. See the girl die doing nothing? Hardly anyone would be able to do that... maybe Pietro could, but Pietro was better than him.

"It's none of my business." The handsome albino boy would say disinterestedly and turn away.

Harry wanted to be like that, but he had to play the hero for his mental health and for the invisible pressure that guided him on that path...

Sigh.

He at least got a great deal of attention diverted by the young Black who was as or more famous as he was in this society of mind rapists freaks.

Anyway, the disinterested boy at the Slytherin table got up and walked out of the great hall, which Harry followed. Harry hoped his plan would work... After all, Pietro never refused to give advice, tips and useful information. It was a living library and was far more useful than any lengthy reading Hermione did...

When they were in a lonely hallway, Scar Boy finally screamed.

"Pietro!"

The young man turned and glared with displeasure. What had he done wrong?

"Heir Potter...I think you should read a little about wizarding etiquette, but let me give you a little lesson...you should never call a nobleman by his name if you and that nobleman aren't considered friends..." The boy explained to Harry's horror. He did not know! "Now, what reason do you follow me to this place..."

"I need help!" Harry sounded desperate.

"Help?" Pietro sounded cautious.

POV MC

What an interesting development. Was the hero and savior of the wizarding world really asking me for help? What kind of help would it be? Should he ask me about Nicolas Flamel? Tell me about Fluffy? Or maybe something else...

Yes, I was curious, but more because I was bored. This school was making me sick…I could do so much outside of this place that it was a ridiculous waste of time just to attend non-informative classes every day.

I almost had Memphis put my "Magic Plague" potion in every student's food last week so I could pass the time, but I held back. Of course, it didn't stop me from coloring Professor Snape's greasy hair pink. McGonnagall in the chair she sat in the Great Hall.

Oh, and let's not even talk about Quirrell, who was commissioned with a light bomb spell at full intensity, burning his retinas and leaving Snape teaching Defense class for several couple of days.

Ah, good times... that happened ten days ago.

"What would you really like Mr Potter?" I remembered the dark boy who was still waiting in front of me. I must admit he wasn't as unpleasant as I imagined. I may have seen it wrong, but he didn't seem to suffer from the canonical Potter's hero complex...

Curious.

"This...this...I don't feel...safe at this school." The boy said with difficulty. "I...always have the feeling that I'm being...being...guarded."

"Well, there are a lot of ghosts here... and paintings then..."

"Is not it!" he looked kind of desperate now. "I don't know why, but someone is tryingput me in danger."

"Elaborate, Mr Potter?" I asked for fun. "Why do you think you're being put in danger?"

"I...you know about the troll don't you?"

"Oh yes... heroic of you to fight a level XXXX creature, but then?"

"I didn't mean...I mean...I didn't intend to fight the troll and in the end it was Ron who defeated him...But there are a lot of very coincident situations happening to me...my broom was unlucky in my first game ...a three-headed dog almost took off my only head and then the troll...let's not even talk about the creature from the forbidden forest and...I think it might be you-know-who..."

Um...maybe he has more of Lily than I imagined? But shouldn't he be the lackluster boy and be saved at every step by Granger? Oddly enough, that was being more fun than I thought it would be... I mean... Knowing stuff is really boring. I imagined the plot would remain the same, but with a Potter different from the original it would make things more interesting...

A smart Potter will make things difficult for Dumbledore...I imagine I could...

Um...yeah, it should be nice to watch...a story without spoilers can be nice considering everything...I can have fun. It wasn't hard to avoid the boy who lived, but the twins were spending a lot of time with Nymphadora by this time and I wasn't happy about being abandoned by them... even though I suggested it myself.

Anyway, playing with the Potter heir can be a good thing. Only if he wasn't targeted by old man Dumbles...

"I...I know we're not friends...but can you help me?" The request was quite humble... well, I didn't like it.

"Let's start with conditions first." I decided. "We won't be friends. That fact remains, so use honorifics to refer to me. Also start studying basic etiquette. I don't want to be seen with an uneducated long enough to suffer from their illness..."

"I accept...

"I'm not done yet." I interrupted. "You are a wealthy heir, with a well-stocked account…buy clothes that suit your status. Don't let me see you in secondhand clothes if you don't want to be unlucky every second. I don't like delays so if we make an appointment for 2 hours, be prepared to meet me 1 hour in advance and don't miss a minute of the deadline or I'll drop it..."

He nodded to my demands easily. Kid without a backbone. How he faced Draco is beyond me. But being smart comes with caution and caution depends on a little cowardice to work...

Well, I would mold Mr Potter into something suitable. Maybe if he's talented, I can have a suitable royal guard.

Now that I think about it, it's quite nice to have a savior as a royal guard. Hmm... he also needs to solve his problem with chronic malnutrition and have his physical scars cleared up. An onerous project... would kill my boredom.

"Well, before we plan our first date, let's get a few things clear…you'll continue to be whatever you are and act normal. If something somehow sends you into danger... Don't run away from it and face it. Though it's stupid advice, there's no need to fear your safety…some bones will be broken here and there but I doubt you'll die." I spoke sincerely. "If I didn't get it wrong, whatever is making you a hero of justice needs a living hero... at least for now."

That was bullshit, but I couldn't allow him to let go of the Philosopher's Stone when Voldyrrel passed the cerberus. My future real island depended on it, and while it was fun to change the plot a little bit, I wouldn't risk my plans for it.

"Thanks."

"Whatever you say. But we still need to decide what my payment will be."

"Payment?" Harry looked at me dubiously.

"Which? Did you expect me to help you for free? I've said it before, we're not friends. You still haven't done anything that deserves my friendship after all." I spoke poisonously. "As I see it, you're just a pitiful child who has lost his parents...one of those parents being a genius woman who didn't get credit for his achievements...but still just a pitiful child." He looked almost sad when he heard me. "I'm not saying this to offend you, but those are the facts. Improve. Stay strong. Grow up. So maybe I'll recognize you."

Yes, Naruto talk no jutsu launches. Hope it works...

Ah, looks like it worked.

"I understand! I won't let you down, Pietr... I mean, Mr Black. I swear!" the boy's eyes sparkled... my God, I have the most OP gift in the shinobi universe in my hands!

"Well, do well. Goodbye." I spoke stiffly and turned my back on the boy...

I hope Harry Potter isn't like a Collin Crevey to me... God forbid! I will kill him myself if necessary.

♧◇♡♤♡◇♧◇♡♤♡◇♧

Mr Potter was unexpectedly great to have around. He was smart, curious, dynamic and very creative. Our first encounter was painful for him as I used transfiguration on his body to erase the scars on his skin. Then I made him drink dozens of healing potions specific to every part of the body, from defective cells to atrophied muscles.

When it was over he looked like a skeleton. Nothing a few nourishment potions didn't fix, though he still needed to eat a lot to replenish his newly shaped body.

A week later I was shooting spicy spells as he dodged. If he didn't move, he would end up in pain and I knew pain was more than enough motivation for someone... even if that someone is used to pain.

Two weeks later and he was starting to be a passable duelist. Now I needed to use 1 tenth of my energy to deplete it, awesome after all. I also started teaching about rituals and occlumency...

The good thing about all this was that our meetings were held in secret. Harry Potter was no idiot and didn't question my reasons for it and when I got him to sign a magical non-disclosure contract he did it without hesitation.

Idiot could have signed a slavery contract without realizing it and I said that as I spanked him hard that day. What surprised me was what he said as I cast increasingly painful spells towards him.

"I don't mind being a slave, lord... I like you."

That sent a shiver through my body. That couldn't be, could it? I don't like boys... and this brat doesn't seem to like boys either. In fact, he keeps talking about the older girls in his house and how many have invited him into their room for make-out sessions several times.

The brat didn't refuse the invitation.

I was kind of dumbfounded by that. He was supposed to be an idiot, right? What was happening? But anyway, I liked this Potter more than the original so it wasn't bad for me...

"Listen, Potter." I spoke without adding you. We were already close enough for that, actually. Though he still called me sir.

"Yes sir."

"You're not gay, right?"

"No sir." He answered with certainty. "But I wouldn't refuse you, sir."

"Huh? What did you say?"

"You're attractive, sir... and you've done a lot for me... I wouldn't refuse you if you wanted me, sir."

That was... an eye opener. It seems my charm was much more OP than I imagined... but the brat didn't seem like a gentle boy... did he expect... to be the active one?

"Listen, you don't think I'd be the girl if we happened to bond, right?"

"We could vary..."

"Okay, too much information for my innocent mind." I spoke out loud. "Let's train now, Potter... Prepare to suffer."

"Eh????"
