Chapter 16: UA Sports Festival (Part 1)
(2 Weeks Later)
Today is a very crucial day, since it could dictate the life of a future hero. This could mean that if one does not perform well, they might not get the chance in the future to flourish and their potential wasted. I really wanted to show off and make myself look cool. This is going to be the first chance I get to use my 3 new jutsu's I have developed straight after I got my chakra. I arrived at school and went straight towards class 1A's waiting room, as I greeted everyone I sat down and calmed myself down. As per usual Todoroki talked about being strong, blah blah blah and then someone called my name.
I went into my subconsious and talked to Kurama a bit, I said: "Big guy how've you been doing recently." "Nothing much and just wondering when are you going to use my chakra and show the world my true powers." Kurama said proudly. "Only time can tell, I know that in this world, most people are too weak to even force me to use your powers. Look at the nomu, with my sage mode, I easily blocked it's attack." Kurama disappointedly mumbled to himself: "It's boring not having to use my chakra, atleast show off a bit."
I left the subconsious with a smile on my face as we were called out to the arena. We all walked forwards, some confidently, some arrogantly, and some nervously. As I walked out, I saw fireworks, I heard people cheering and Present Mic annouced: "The UA Sports Festival! The huge battle where fledging heroes sharpen their swords once a year! Anyways, these are the guys right? The miraculous new stars that overcame enemy attacks with their hearts of steel! Hero Course 1A, right?" After we came out, the other classes were annouced and everyone other than the heor course were confident.
When we all arrived at the middle of the arena, Midnight the R Rated Hero said: "Time for the player pledge!" While everyone was blushing I closed my eyes and turned the other way and thought to myself while holding a subconscious picture of Mina and myself 'My love is only for you. My love is only for you. My love is only for you. My love is only for you. My love is only for you. My love is only for you. My love is only for you. My love is only for you.' After I made a mental note of who I loved, I walked up to the stage, took a deep breath and said my pledge: "I pledge that today we aspiring heroes, are going to do our best in the sports tournament and show our full capabilities(lies) and make heros all around the country afraid of what is to come of the next generations of heroes." Everyone started clapping and I returned back to where I was standing. Then the activity was annouced, it was an obstacle race.
I held some special looking kunai as I walked towards the gate, unlike most people who were craming to be at the front, I knew I would get toppled over if I stayed and decided to be behind everyone else. 3... 2... 1... The timer went off and everyone started running except for me, everyone in the crowd watching was surprised. Todoroki suddenly frose everyone infront of him and ran, some students from 1A didn't get caught in the ice and they started running, it was at this point I started running, but not your average running, I was 'Naruto Running' I ran past all the people stuck in the ice and I quikly caught up to Todoroki eventhough he was using ice.I quickly passed him as I smiled towards him, I then saw the robots up ahead, I ran faster and avoided the robots attack while everyone was stunned. I then saw the 0 pointers and shouted: "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu" 3 clones appeared beside me and 1 started to sit down and meditate, almost instantly I had sage mode activated as the crowd was cheering on for us. I held up the special kunai and said while my clones were touching me: "Flying Raijin" I threw the kunai and it went straight past the 0 pointers and suddenly I teleported towards the other side, everyone was shocked that I could teleport. As the camera tried to focus on me, my clones and I stared to inbed chakra and wind chakra into my palm and suddenly, I very powerful ball of chakra was formed and I shouted: "Rasenshuriken" I threw the ball at the zero pointers, I added some chakra to make it big and last longer, no one was there fighting the zero pointers since they were watching me. After I threw the rasenshuriken, it expanded to the height of the zero pointers and it stayed there for a total of 10 seconds, it might not sound much but by the time the jutsu dissapated, I was already at the tightrope part, and everyone saw that all the zero pointers were now gone, reduced to nothing and it left a huge crater. Everyone regained their senses on what just happened and quickly ran forwards. Everyone was even more stunned when I just ran across the tightropes. They didn't know I had chakra and my control was so good that I could run on almost everysingle surface. I reached the final part of the race which was the landmines and Todoroki which was second in place, was still at the tightropes, I smirked a bit and decided to use flying raijin to get across the landmine and finished first.
