Chapter 3: I Wish To Die

The day which he thought would finally be the luckiest day of his life, turned out to be the unluckiest one.

When he got a job at one of the biggest industries in Park Conglomerate, he thought his bad luck was finally over and it was now time for him to enjoy the good days but he had no idea, his life turned for the worse.

So, he kept quiet and heard Ashley's taunts calmly as she was not wrong. Her family indeed provided comforts to his family but at the cost of his own life.

Alex kept quiet as he had nothing to retort back with.

Ashley was satisfied to see him in despair, "Why are you speechless now? Because I am telling the truth? Remember whatever you have now is all at my mercy. You became rich, and have all these luxuries because I married you. You deserve nothing, remember that" She continued insulting me.

"I really wish to die. Instead of living this rich lifestyle with so-called fame, I would rather die. I guess only that way peace can be brought back to our lives. My bad luck always haunted me and it still is, I wish to die" He calmly said.

"If you are so desperate to die, then why were you insisting I drive safely on this road, earlier?" Ashley questioned him and increased the speed of the car.

Alex got annoyed, "I lost my mind, at that moment. I rather wish you drove rashly and killed me today" He was so angry, he really wished to die now.

"Oh, is that so? Then why the hell are you wearing this seat belt for protection?" Ashley argued back, pointing out his hypocrisy.

"Right" Alex removed his seat belt in anger.

Ashley was surprised that he indeed removed his seat belt, "Wear the seat belt, it is not safe to not wear it on this road" She calmly commanded, although she hates him, she can't be responsible for someone's death.

"I don't need your advice, keep your fake care to yourself" Alex still didn't put on his seat belt.

"Fine, suit yourself" Ashley would only say it once, she won't again and again insist for him to take care of himself, she pressed on the accelerator and increased the speed to scare her husband.

She was successful in doing so as Alex felt scared sitting beside her, it was already very dark and the road was blunt and dangerous.

Alex fearfully thought to himself, 'I heard it is dangerous to drive on this road at night, I did suggest that I stop somewhere and start driving again early morning the next day but this woman is so stubborn that she doesn't listen to anyone, I am a fool to give advice to advice to her.'

But after a point he couldn't stay calm, "Please drive carefully" He said it out aloud.

"I am an expert in driving and I visited this place multiple times, so shut your mouth and let me do my job" Ashley arrogantly replied to him, satisfied that he was successfully scared of her.

Alex cursed himself for giving her the suggestion, he decided to put the seat belt back as his intuition was saying something terrible is going to happen soon and he prayed to reach their destination safely.

Just when his hand went to pull the seat belt towards him, the car took a blunt turn and it was a blind spot, suddenly a big light flashed right across his face and the car they were in shook with a big jerk.
