Chapter 23: Won't be Happy
"What?" Jong shouted.
"Why are you shouting? I said, I want to see Ash and Alex as wife and husband"
"What are you talking about? Are you serious why all of sudden you had this thought? There are many rich boys who want to marry her, but why Alex? Jong questioned him.
"Even though many rich families want to tie with us, I don't want the person to be rich, rather want an understanding son-I-law. Since I saw Alex's kind nature, patience and how he handles things at home and office, I thought he would be perfect for Ash" he sincerely shared his views.
After hearing his opinion, Jong was quiet for a while.
Paul asked Jong "what are you thinking so deeply, are you not happy with my idea of our children getting married?"
"Yes, of course. I want your opinion which matters the most to me" Paul said.
"As you came suddenly with the proposal I was shocked as Ashley was an ambitious girl and Alex was a simple man who prefers a simple life. I know my grandson very well"
"He never agrees to this alliance as he is a self respected person and doesn't want this society to label him that for the sake of money he had married"
"You have seen my son, he is a shameless, very greedy man and wants to become very rich without effort as you have seen today morning that they shifted here permanently because I got a house and money. Alex was quite the opposite to him after all he had my genes" Jong shared his views.
"I have liked Alex because he reminded me of you when you were young, you used to think of others, You kept other requirements first and thought about yourself last. As Alex was brought up by you was the one of the reasons I like Alex's soft and kind nature. At the office within a short period he had been loved by everyone, he helped everyone. Today he had helped a new employee and handled Ash" Paul shared what he saw today.
"As I know about Ashley's temperaments and Alex's soft nature, how could I accept your proposal? They will never be happy. So I am in a dilemma to make a decision" Jong shared his concern.
"Exactly my point is Alex is so soft whereas Ashley is aggressive in nature which will balance their life in future. Both nature will balance to lead a perfect life in their future. With Alex's soft nature how could he survive in this world? You can be with him life long" he is trying to convince Jong.
"You are right, I won't disagree with you. But can Alex handle Ash's temperaments and agree to marry her but what about Ashley, she is a business woman who achieved success in less time, and received awards. Do you think she accepts Alex? She can find many boys who are rich and more successful than Alex" Jong speaker what is right.
"To handle Ash I can't imagine no other person except Alex, today you have to see him when he handled the situation at the office, Ash was completely quiet. And listened to him which she never does. That is when I got an idea to see them as a couple" Paul had explained to him.
"Ok before taking any decision let us ask them. If they both agree then why do I object" Jong expressed his concern.
"Done, as I don't think that they even see each other in the office other than meeting. I will insist Ash to involve Alex in a project then automatically they will get time to get to know each other. Let them see more for one or two months. After that they may go to business so that they will get more time to spend and get to know each other. We will talk to them after a few months" Paul suggested his future plan.
"Great idea, if they get time to spend together then they will know each other. After a few months we can ask them and meanwhile we will try to keep them close to each other. Now I am feeling relieved as I want both kids to be happy and comfortable in their relationship" Jong agreed signed relief.
"Ok, then from now onwards I will be on the mission and make sure that they spend maximum time with each other" Paul excitedly told.
