Chapter 29: Chapter 29 Third Card
Jack disappointed with the outcome of his blessing decided that his third card would be a skill card.
With the evolution the skill would also be retained after evolution allowing the dragonoids to also learn the skills. Though the current ones wouldn't learn it.
Deciding to save up the faith to get one of his friends to trade for a card so he could limit his communication as much as possible.
The next few days passed with more kobolds fighting to the death. With him blessing everyone like he used to the gain of faith was slow and speaking would be even less viable.
Looking at the wild boars, rabbits and apple trees he saw a mild change in their strength seeing that their average life energy is stronger than it used to be. The older apple trees are actually pretty strong for an apple tree. Maybe in the future they could evolve into a spirit, dryad or treant. Maybe even become a magical tree.
Waking up Jack texted Xiao if he could trade a skill card for him. Xiao accepted and for the next two days talked to others negotiating a trade. Though Xiao complained about Jack's ability and how its breaking apart their friendship in a joking manner. Though Jack realized that his current relationship would be impacted by this change.
Making friends and even getting a girl friend would be much harder.
Jack received the list of possible trades he could make that Xiao helped negotiate. Thanking Xiao before looking over the list he was surprised at how extensive it was. Jack wondered why Xiao would put in so much effort.
Maybe he was still worried about their conflict before or maybe his new ability worried him. Though no matter the reason Jack was still grateful.
Noticing multiple different skills that could work currently or in the future.
[Bash skill(common)- smash down with your weapon causing 200% damage and stunning them for 1second. Melee range only]
[Sweep skill(common)- sweep across with your weapon striking multiple foes and causing 200% damage. Melee range only, Cleave type attack]
[Lunge skill(uncommon)- lunge forward striking the enemy for a critical hit knocking them off balance and dealing 300% damage. Can lunge up to 5ft.]
[Snipe skill(common)- Fire an arrow with pinpoint precision hitting the target for 200% damage. Range varies with bow type]
[Rain of Arrows Hero Skill(Epic)- multiple the arrows fired. The multiplier depends on the original number of arrows. The higher the original the lower the duplicated arrows.]
[Shield Rush Skill(rare)- lunge forward with a shield slamming into the enemy knocking them off balance and stunning them. Range of up to 15ft.]
[Fortify skill(uncommon)- increase the defense of yourself including weapons. Self type skill]
[Stomp skill(uncommon)- stomp the ground shaking the earth in a small area knocking everyone nearby off balance. Doesn't work on fortified enemies or allies.]
[Fighting Stance skill(uncommon)- get into a stance increasing balance and reaction speed.]
[Throw skill(common)- throw something at the enemy dealing increased damage. damage and range varies for the type of thrown object]
[Injure skill(common)- target a specific weak point dealing extra damage in that area increasing the likelihood of injury. Targeting the heart can cause death, Melee type skill]
{Acrobatics skill(uncommon)- both a combat and noncombative skill as it allows the user increased dexterity, balance and flexibility. Also the person becomes pro at parkour.]
[Literate Skill(Epic)- noncombative skill increasing the learning rate of children and guarantee the adult to know how to read and write.
[Backstab skill(common)- stab the target in the back with a small weapon dealing 300% critical damage. Limited to melee range and being behind the target. Can be interrupted should the target turn around.]
[Silence skill(common)- Knock the back of the head of the opponent knocking them out. Only possible with higher strength compared to the opponent's physique. If the difference is too high the target might just die.]
Jack noticed a few duplicate skills that traded for the same thing and sometimes different things just the person selling varied.
Surprised by the hero skill though not useful since he probably wouldn't get a hero for a while. Dragonoids only become heroes by becoming legendary so it will be a while before a hero appears.
The stomp and fortify skill seemed to synergize very well together and would work well for his army.
Though shield bash was a good skill shields were very rare in the kobold army currently and would be awhile before the army is fully equipped with shields.
The literate skill was tempting but Jack wasn't planning to go the civilized route with his kobolds so it would be a waste for now. Though it could be helpful for the dragonoids due to their long childhood.
Acrobatics and fighting stance were good but not that good on low level races where skills are more percentage increase to stats.
Only the hero skill required the trade of the expansion card thankfully. So trading a 3star kobold spawn and a 2 star silver mine the cards were successfully acquired.
Integrating the fortify skill first since it wouldn't comprise others in combat his third card was officially used and all the kobolds felt the presence of this new skill. The tribe was in chaos for the whole day with everyone trying out the new skill causing many wounds on warriors throughout the tribe.
Jack happy with his third card exited his realm to ask his friends about their recent activities. Just by asking a few words they would understand and explain everything since he is now partially disabled.
They got back and said they would meet up at Xiao's place again and would discuss updates to their realm and play cards.
Jack looked over his realm throughout the day making no changes to save faith before going to bed preparing for tomorrow.
Waking up Jack organized a few snacks to bring over that the group enjoyed while thinking over best how to communicate.
