Chapter 6: Brief Separation And A Sports Facility (1)
A few months after Rentarou's conversation with the old geezer who is one of the elders of the Arisugawa clan, he and Hanna arranged for Seiji's departure. Of course, dealing with the procedure was easy. The hardest part about Seiji's departure was Rena and her tantrums.
Seiji had to try multiple times before Rena finally budged after their agreement of meeting 3 days a week. Her initial request was to live with Seiji but was immediately denied by the spectating nosy old geezer from before. The old man almost went home with many scratch marks and bruises, if not for Hanna and Mia literally saving him from the claws of a ferocious lioness.
When the old man spoke in his usual self-important tone and started to diss Seiji in front of her, little Rena could no longer control her emotions and mounted the old man, scratching and pounding his face at a frighteningly accurate degree. She almost tore the hateful old man to death if not for her mother and Mia's interception.
She made good use of her gymnastics training as the little genius summersaulted mid air and kicked the old man right at his face, making the old man drop to the ground. She then started scratching and pounding the old man so accurately that the old man's attempts at shielding his face is of no use.
After that incident, the old man was brought out of the study room and Rena was severely reprimanded by Seiji, Rentarou, and Hanna. They warned her not to be that impulsive again while Hanna and Rentarou inwardly praised the girl for her bravery. Both of them felt so proud to have raised such a decisive girl. Probably only Seiji was truly mad about what Rena did.
After some formalities were out of the way, Seiji finally said his goodbyes to his parents and little sister. He tried not to show his sadness about their separation but even his current self couldn't mask his sadness.
Rena is already shedding tears while Rentarou and Hanna tried not to show any sadness on their face. As experienced adults, they have no difficulty hiding their emotions from others. Both of them embraced their daughter as they watched Seiji leave with Mia.

After Seiji and Mia left the mansion while riding on a BMW that's worth millions of yen, Mia drove the car to a hotel and booked a suite there. Then, the two of them began removing their clothes in their respective rooms and changed into a new one.
After that, Seiji took out a wet towel and wiped his entire face with it to remove the fairly thick make-up on his skin. Thankfully, it was a brand that was proven to have no side effects on a child's skin so Seiji never encountered any problems while having these make-up on everyday.
He then removed his contact lenses, placed it on its case, then washed his face with some facial soap and water. After lightly drying his face with a towel, Seiji swept his light ash grey colored hair up with his fingers before looking into his jet black colored eyes through the mirror.
"Finally, I'm now out of the mask I always wear when I'm in that family. Who knew that being adopted as a rich second generation heir will land you into a load of troublesome things, paired with a stiff living environment. Is it just the Arisugawa clan or is every rich clan like this?"
Seiji felt like he's finally out of his shell. No more clan elders who will tell him what to do, no more stiff maids and butlers trying to cater to your every needs, and no more jampacked schedule filled with study session this and study session that.
However, just as he felt the slight tinge of happiness, Seiji remembered his little sister and his parents. This thought immediately brought sadness to his face.
"Mom and Dad did say that we will eventually live together again but they also said that it will take time. *sigh* I guess I have to wait for that time to come. For the time being, I have to do something with my life and show them that I'm doing fine. I can't have them getting worried about me…"
As he was doing his own monologue, his sharp hearing picked up the sound of someone knocking on his suite's door. This immediately brought a stop to his episode of self reflection.
"I guess Mia is done with her preparations," Seiji said before collecting his things, exiting the restroom, and arranging his belongings.
While he is doing this, Seiji heard a soft voice come from the front door's direction.
"Young master, we're already set for our departure. Did you properly removed the make-up on you?"
"Ah, don't worry about me Mia. I'm all set!" Seiji said before opening the door.
When he opened the door, he was shell shocked at what he saw. A different Mia stood in front of him, completely different from the perfect maid that she was previously. Now, she looks like a gentle office lady who's in the prime of her life.
"Wow… The vibe you're emitting is so different from the vibe you're giving off just a few minutes ago Mia! Amazing!"
Seiji couldn't help but say a few complements. Mia just flashed a gentle smile at him before saying a few complementary words of her own towards Seiji.
"You're also giving off a different atmosphere from before young ma—… I mean Seiji-kun. Your jet black eyes just gives you a different kind of aura. With your make-up removed, you look a lot cuter. I guess the make-up lessened your cuteness a lot when you're wearing it."
Seiji scratched his cheek at the complement, something that he often does, while chuckling.
"Hehe… I thought so too. I bet I look weird with those blue contacts and make-up on."
"That's not it, Seiji-kun! It's just that I do your and young miss Rena's make-up with the goal of altering your appearances in mind. That's why you look different when you removed them."
"Um… I guess? Mom and Dad did say that it was part of their plan. They did say something about this being part of their long-term plan of leaving the Arisugawa clan for good," Seiji, while nodding slightly, said.
After a brief lull in the middle of their conversation, Seiji seems to have remembered something.
"That's right! Am I supposed to change my surname or name now or something?"
"No, Seiji-kun. You don't need to change your surname at all. Mast—… I mean Rentarou-san have long since arranged for an escape route for all of you just in case this kind of thing were to happen. He has labeled the Arisugawa clan as a sinking ship long ago so his preparation time is very long."
Seiji gave it a moment of thought before saying, "So you're saying that Dad think there is no need for us to hide because they will just fall eventually?"
"That's right. That is why he and Hanna-san is so busy with their new business venture."
"Hee… So Dad and Mom foresaw that the clan will implode and decided to abandon ship. They also hate the clan very much so it wasn't a hard decision to make, huh? However, isn't it still risky?"
"There are no risks to it, Seiji-kun. Rentarou-san knew the Arisugawa clan like it's the back of his hand. This is why he formed this plan. It's because he knew that the Arisugawa clan have a very weak and unreliable information source, this is also why corrupted clan members got away scot free most of the time. With their fall, no one will be able to touch you all."
"The make-up and the contact lenses are just to make sure we'll be safe during the initial phase of the plan, huh…"
The two talked for a brief moment about this said plan before departing. They used the elevators of the hotel before exiting the establishment, riding a pretty average priced red Toyota car. The plan was to quietly go on hiding for a while.

In a corner of the historic and peaceful city of Nara, the capital city of the Nara Prefecture, located in the Kansai Region — also known as Kinki Region — of Japan, lies a fairly large mansion well-known for being one of the largest houses around this rural countryside. The townsfolk never saw who the owner of this house was and just saw the caretaker come to the mansion while carrying some cleaning tools.
However, just the other day, they saw numerous men in black suit carrying dozens of new furnitures, large beds and beddings, and etc. It was so hectic that the onlookers felt tired just watching them run here and there to unload the contents of the truck. They wondered if the real owner of the house is finally going to be revealed any time soon.
As if to answer the questions of these residents, a pretty fast car came zooming right past their houses and stopped in front of the said mansion. Then, one big silhouette alighted the car, followed by a small silhouette. When the curious passersby looked closer, they saw a pretty woman in the prime of her life alight the car, accompanied by a very cute child around 7-8 years old.
Just by seeing their appearance, the onlookers immediately thought that these two might be from a pretty well off family. Not only that, but their attire is a collection of high end goods which costs a high price on the market.
The neighborhood aunties immediately started to gossip as they came up with their own speculations and hot takes. Some were so imaginative that they thought the woman is the little boy's sugar mommy.
"Ya think the woman is the boy's sugar momma or somethin'?"
"Ehh… Can't be! Ain't no way a boy like that would…"
"Ai! I sure hope it ain't like that! The boy is so cute!"
Of course, the focus of their gossips, Seiji and Mia, overheard bits and pieces of their conversation, especially Seiji. His hearing is sharp so he overheard their entire conversation. As a result, the corners of his lips kept on twitching as they entered the gates of the mansion. Mia, on the other hand, let out a rare chuckle.
