Chapter 33: XXXII
"How was it?" Dakota asked staring at Kannon's troubled look while putting on her seatbelt.
"We talked a lot" Kannon sighed, she is going to miss Indigo never in their life they have been seperated for too long. And never did it cross her mind that there might be a day that it will happen and it came so soon.
"She's in good hands" Dakota comforted as she patted Kannon's head.
"You know if you wanted to see her, you should always be with me since I can take you here often" she added.
"Can't I just go here by myself?" Kannon stared at Dakota as if it was an obvious fact.
"Buuuut....can you pass through those guards??" Dakota pointed out at the intimidating guards standing still at the doors of the mansion.
Their tall statures was somewhere above 2 meters, buffy muscles that at one glance one would easily know that they could effortlessly toss someone aside. Along with their tattoos that covered most of their bodies and their glaring eyes, it was impossible to make someone not fear them.
Just staring at them was enough for Kannon to have chills running through her spine.
"Fine..fine" Kannon already knew she was falling into another trap.
"What?" Kannon suddenly woke up in her bed as she felt something heavy in her chest.
Looking down she saw Dakota embracing her waist while laying her face directly in her chest.
[This perverted alpha!!!]
Kannon tried to push her away but Dakota held her tighter instead. Feeling her breath in her chest, Kannon could not help but blush.
[Well since this is the case let's just leave it for a while]
Kannon then relaxed on the bed as she stared at the scenery in the glass windows. The sun has yet to rise and it was still dark, the clouds that covered the sky was beautiful. Indeed this place really earned its worth, a month's stay in this apartment could easily rack up to years of annual salary of an average person.
"Sleep you have school today" Dakota suddenly spoke startling Kannon.
"Now that you are awake.....get off!!!" Kannon pushed Dakota's face away with her hands yet Dakota did not even budge.
"You slept in the car and I carried you to your room, naturally I was tired so let me rest" Dakota replied, her eyes were closing as she was very sleepy.
"Are you saying that I am heavy?? That makes you so tired just carrying me?!!!" Kannon protested while her hand continued to push Dakota away.
[Well that back fired]
Dakota thought, in her eyes Kannon was like an angry cute little kitten that makes her want to spoil her rotten.
"And if you want to rest get off my chest!! There's a pillow here!"
[So cute]
Dakota could not help but smirk while looking at Kannon. She really makes her day very interesting and entertaining.
"But its soft here" Dakota buried her face in between Kannon's chest, as Kannon just covered her redded face with both of her hands.
Dakota wanted to drop off Kannon in her school but her work in the company was earlier than Kannon's class schedule.
"This is the worst" Dakota was lazing around as she still did not want to go to work, which was highly unsual as she would always wake up very early everyday and go to the company earlier than her employees.
"Won't you go? Didn't you say your work starts at 8 am? It's already 7:50 am!!!" Kannon scolded.
She felt more of a nanny than a maid, as Dakota was acting like a little kid that did not want to go to school.
"No good luck kiss?"
"No" Kannon sternly replied.
"Good bye kiss?"
"No"
"Have a good day kiss?"
"No"
"How about I'll see you off kiss?"
"I am your maid not your lover" Kannon bluntly responded.
"How about a kiss to your master?" Dakota teased opening her arms and was ready to kiss Kannon.
"Just go make money!!" Kannon shouted kicking Dakota out of the apartment yet her face was red from embarrassment.
"Seriously just what did I got myself into?" Kannon covered her face with her hands trying to hide her embarrassment.
She has never met someone as shameless as Dakota.
"Well I did not expect that" Leto who was about to knock on Dakota's apartment suddenly spoke in a confused yet calm tone.
"What brings you here?" Dakota composed herself as she stared at him with her usual distant and cold attitude.
"Work....and things to discuss" Leto raised his hand and showed a thick file.
"That Yui indeed do have a impact on that child" Mrs. Kaede spoke towards the man in front of her.
Her pair of sharp and cold gaze that greatly resembled Dakota was focused on a picture in her desk.
It was an image of Dakota opening her car while smiling towards Yui. It was an expression that Mrs. Kaede did not think that her daughter was capable of showing. A fake smile and a cold disdain expression plastered on Dakota's face were the expressions that Mrs Kaede were familiar with her daughter.
Looking at the person in the photo felt like looking at another human being.
Then a flashback came into Mrs Kaede's mind. It was Yui adamantly proposing herself to be Dakota's executive assistant while being persistently being turn down, her unmoved and determined composure was something that Mrs Kaede took interest with.
Running a background check to her, it was confirmed that she was an omega hiding behind an alpha's name.
Rumors spreading in the company about her ambiguous relationship with Dakota, apparently before she got hired she had records of meeting up with her.
[Whatever their relationship is, if I could get a hold with her then I can get a hold of that child]
Mrs Kaede thought, but if the chances of Yui getting in between of Desmund and Dakota's engagement is getting more and more visible then she would have to be taken out of the picture.
