Chapter 2: 2~Disinfectant ~ Strong Stench
Luca tried opening his eyes but was surprised by the strong smell of disinfectant. He wanted to open his eyes but felt as if something heavy was set on his eyes. He started wiggling but stopped at once. He felt as if his whole body was itching, just like ants crawling on his body. He wanted to scream because of the unbearable pain .At the same time, he couldn't open his mouth no matter what. He wanted to make sure where he was. In the end, he came to the conclusion that he was at a hospital.
But why?
The last thing he could remember was his ride to the mall .Right. Where is dad? And what was with that huge truck?
'WAIT...No way... There is no way...we got hit...Right?
Yeah ,of course it is impossible.
But.. why am I in a hospital??
Ahhh...it was probably a dream. Now that makes more sense. It felt too real though..'He thought.
He could hear vague sounds and footsteps of rustling nearby. He wanted to ask what happened to dad but instead forced his mind to listen the noises. He could figure out the squeaky noise of wheelchairs and the rushing of footsteps and the ringing of multiple phones at once. He felt as if his brain would blow up. His silent screams of agony went unnoticed.
He heard a low deep voice from his right side,
'When will he recover?'
'His will experience temporary blindness. His ribcage also have some broken bones. Otherwise, he seems unscathed.'
'Unscathed my ass. Is he being serious?'Luca couldn't believe what the person was saying.
'It was a miracle you found him. He will be fine 2 months time. Oh, are you his guardian?'
'No.'
'Please contact this child's guardian first as we need their consent'
'Why?'
'Yeah why? I don't think there is any need for surgery.'Luca thought.
'Well you see, he has a glass shard stuck in his leg. We need to remove it immediately to prevent any infections'
