Chapter 11: Students
"Hey! Fushiguro!", waved Yuji after seeing Megumi pop out the door. The three boys were now being introduced to their dorm rooms at the school.
"HEYYYY! THAT GUY LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE ME!", exclaimed Rei. This was technically the first time Rei had seen Megumi so he had to act the part.
"Yea.. way to state the obvious", grumbled Megumi. 'Why is he so loud'.
"Damn man, is it that time of the month? Anyway, we're like twins or something. Hey what's your name?", Rei's mouth was rambling on, not pausing for any rest. Of course, Megumi was one of his favorite characters in the manga so he was a bit exciting to be talking to him.
Unfortunately, Megumi didn't exactly have the same feelings for their encounter. Turning to Gojo-sensei, "There's lot's of other rooms, you know, is it really necessary to have everyone be neighbors."
"Oh come one, Megumi-kun, don't be like that. Isn't it better to have some company? You boys can become good friends".
"Classes and admissions are enough, it would be better to have some alone time", ignoring Megumi's privacy, Rei and Yuji quickly inspected his room, admired the organization, before getting the door slammed on their heads by a pissed Megumi.
"A-ah, I'm sorry... I hope we g-get along well, Fushiguro-san", bowed Kanami, to him Megumi seemed to be in a foul mood something he did not want to get involved in.
"Sorry for wha- you know what, apology accepted, now can we move along now"
"Hah, friends already. Tomorrow, we're heading out to pick our fifth first-year student", announced Gojo, happy that his students were getting along.
(The next day)
Standing in front of the Tokyo Metro station, the four boys were waiting for the final student to arrive. All boys were wearing their Jujutsu High uniforms, with slight variations.
Megumi and Kanami wore the same uniforms. Yuji had his with a red hoodie. Rei's uniform, lacked the collar and was slightly heavier than the rest of the boys.
"...Everyone has unique circumstances", Megumi finished explaining to the boys why there were only five first-years.
"Oh you're all here", greeted Gojo, having just arrived. "Oh, your uniforms have arrived", observing Rei, Kanami, and Yuji's navy blue clothes.
"Yea, but mine has a hoodie", pointed out Yuji.
"Why is mine so heavy?", asked Rei.
"That's because the uniforms can be custom-made", explained Gojo.
"But I never asked for it?", "Me neither."
"That's because I requested it", answered Gojo, leaving the boys in silence.
(A few minutes later)
After Nobara finished putting her stuff in the locker, Gojo finally introduced her to the boys.
"I'd like you to meet..."
"Nobara Kugisaki", Nobara interrupted. "You should be honored boys, I'm the only girl".
"Right! I'm Yuji Itadori! From Sendai", as always Yuji started off with the introductions.
"Hi there! The name's Rei, Rei Tachibana! I'm from right here", Rei came next .
"Uh-um, my n-name is Kanami Sato. I'm also from Tokyo", Kanami stuttered, it was clear to anyone that Kanami was intimidated by Nobara's glare.
"Fushiguro", Megumi finished.
(Nobara POV)
Staring at the four boys in front of me, I quickly analyzed them to get to now the people I would be working with.
The pink haired one looks like a potato, he definitely picked his boogers as a kid.
The coward over there looks like he'd piss his pants at a horror move. He was definitely a bed wetter as a kid.
I can't stand people like that Fushiguro guy. Only giving his name? I hate high and mighty folks like him. He probably sets fire to innocent seagulls.
The tall, black-haired kid looks like he came straight out of gig as a clown, why is he grinning like a dumbass? Also, why can't I sense any cursed energy from him?

"Oh no... she just sighed, I don't think that's good", inferred Yuji.
"So these are the people I have to work with? Disappointing", scoffed Nobara.
"Hey! That's rude!", rebuked Rei.
"Well anyway, since we're all here we can finally do a we planned", announced Gojo.
" Where?!", asked all the students besides Rei and Megumi, who already had an idea of where they were going.
"Of course, we're going to Roppongi.", at the announcement Yuji and Nobara quickly started at each other before breaking into cheers. Both of them had come from rural areas so visiting an urban city like Tokyo for the first time was exciting.
(A few minutes later)
"There's a curse here", Gojo summarized, after the group had arrived to the seemingly haunted building. There was a malicious energy emanating from the building, Rei swore he saw purple menacing symbols surround the building. As usual, Kanami was shaking nervously; a stark contrast to Nobara and Yuji, who were yelling at Gojo for lying to them completely ignoring the creepy atmosphere.
"Well, just think of this as a field test"
"But sensei, I can't use any jujutsu yet", Yuji reminded.
"Me neither", added Rei.
"I can... but I don't think its enough to kill one of those monsters", finished Kanami.
"Huh! Why are all of you so weak! How the hell did you become sorcerers", Nobara screamed, after discovering how clueless her team was on the jujutsu world.
"Yuji, you do have cursed energy since you're basically half cursed spirit, but you won't be able to use that energy over night. Instead, use this for now", Gojo gave him a a mid-length dagger with two holes on the blade, its hilt was made from fur and bandages. "Slaughter Demon, a object imbued with cursed energy".
While Yuji was admiring his newly received weapon, Gojo quickly turned to Rei. "Unfortunately, you don't have any cursed energy so no learning Jujutsu for you."
"Huh?! What'd you mean he doesn't have any cursed energy?", Nobara questioned.
"I mean, he has zero cursed energy. You should have noticed by now, you can't sense his presence at all"
"Well, I guess that explains a lot", Nobara whispered, though she was still surprised at the revelation. Only one other human had the same condition as Rei, and they were long dead so Nobara had never heard of a heavenly restriction. "But how is he supposed to help us, then? Can he even see curses?"
"Although Rei doesn't have any cursed energy, he more then makes up for it".
"Yeah, I'm super strong and fast. Oh! And I have really sharp senses so I can see curses just fine. Can't forget about the most important one... I can heal from injuries way faster than a normal human", Rei explained.
"I got you a cursed weapon like Yuji, I think it should help", this time Gojo pulled out a red three-section staff, with each section connected by steel rings. The ends of the metal was decorated with small flames. "This is an incredibly important item, so be sure not to lose it".
'WHAT! That's playful cloud! Isn't that too much for some grade 4 curses?', Rei nervously grabbed hold of the weapon. Playful cloud is a special grade cursed weapon that made use of the physical strength of its user instead of cursed energy. The weapon allowed a grade 4 sorcerer, albeit they were being sabotaged so their true rank was probably much higher, to contend with and overpower a special grade curse.
"Um... Gojo-sensei, how do I use this", Rei, who had never even held a wooden sword, had no clue how to actually use Playful Cloud, a seemingly complicated three-section staff.
"Sensei, isn't that a little too much", asked Megumi.
"Ah don't worry, you should be able to use it. You have no previous experience with weapons, so this will be good to broaden you horizon from the typical swords and spears.", answered Gojo, earning a nod of acknowledgement from Rei. "Now as for you, Kanami, you don't need any weapon."
"Huh?!", Kanami, too, wanted a cool weapon that the other two had.
"You can already infuse your punches with cursed energy. That should be more than enough to deal with those curses".
"Tch. Pathetic", said Nobara as she looked at her teammates admire their new gift. She walked off, ready to exorcise some spirits, followed by the rest.
"Oh, and Yuji", Yuji quickly turned around to Gojo. "Don't let out Sukuna in there."
Yuji quickly gave a solemn nod, "Yes, sensei", before departing to the building.
