Chapter 9: Chapter 9
Aliester opened his eyes and was back in his grandma's house, he felt pain all over his body, his tummy was making all sort of terrible noise, showing how hungry he was but he could not understand where all the pain he was feeling was coming from. Then he remembered reading something about how everyone had a side effect they would experience if they visit the world of their bounded beast, but this pain he was feeling was really out of this world, he thought this pain would be the end of his life, he fell from the bed he was on hitting the ground. The pain he experienced lasted for about five minutes, when the pain finally subsided Aliester sat on the bed to get himself back he was shocked by what he had just experienced, he had not prepared himself for this.
Aliester walked out of his room in search of something to eat and for sure there was always something good to eat in grandmas' house.
"You're finally down" his grandma said as she noticed Aliester "children these days just stay locked up in their room doing nothing, your food is over their"his grandma shakes her head as she pointed to were Alister's food was.
"Thanks grandma, you're the best" Aliester said as he hurried to where his food was picking it up and heading right back to his room.
"Aliester"
Aliester heard James call his name as he walked out of the kitchen, seems like James was also heading to the kitchen.
"Yeah"
"What happened that day"
"Are we still on this" James has been asking this same question for a while now, he could not just believe what he was told. "I told you already, I don't know what happened, I tried to help but was knocked out immediately by the time I woke up he was already gone, now I would love to enjoy my meal if you don't mind" Aliester said as he continued towards his room.
Back in his room, Aliester sat on his bed after he was done with his food, he was wondering what his next step would be, now that his card has activated, he planned on participating in the up coming competition and decided he would head straight for college. But there was just one problem, he had no GEI and he lacked the money to get a new one, asking his mother was already out of the question she was too busy with trying to get their old house back to shape, so he made up his mind, he would go out to look for a job after school tomorrow.

It was morning already and Aliester was out of his bed ready to put his plan in action, although he was currently powerless, he felt more confident that usual, he was already dressed in his uniform and ready to move out. He just had to survive one more from Nick and his gang, the school was giving the students time to go get themselves prepared for what is to come so today would be his last day there.
Aliester went downstairs greeted his mom and grandmother before heading for the dining. His grandfather passed some few years back, they knew nothing about their relatives from their father's side and apart from grandma over here they knew no one else from their mother's side, so they literally had no one. All Aliester could think about was how he was going to survive Nick today, he knew that today was their last day at school and he might try to stir up trouble and the worse part was that Aliester could think of no way to survive if Nick came for him so he decided he would just bare the pain at least for today.
He left the house straight for school, he had no money on him to hire cab or a mount so he walked all the way to school, the distance from his grandmother's house was a little bit far but he had no choice. He arrived just in for time for their first lesson for the day and everything was going smooth, he arrived too late for there to be any time for Nick to bully him. Different teachers had worked into the class giving them advice and tips about the college entrance test coming up, now there was just one thing left for him to do.
"Good day class" another teacher walked into the class...."as you all know today would be the last day we get to see each other here as you all will be preparing for the entrance test, the school has decided to give you all time to grow individually, to find out your strengths and weaknesses, the entrance test would be coming up in two months time and I hope you'll would be well prepared before then, with that being said, if you wish to participate in the test I will need you to come up here and write down your name and if you don't want to participate in the test you may take your leave, your life starts here" the teacher pulled out several tab like glasses with a short pen close to it.
Some student started to take there leave as they knew what was installed for them if they went to college and they were not ready for that, while others rushed to the front of the class to get there name written done, they looked excited and like they were ready for anything.
Nick started to work towards the front of the class with his minions clearing the way for him, shoving and pushing anyone who would dear stand in his way, getting to the front,he took one of the pen and wrote down his name. "NICK ALVIS" then he declared to all his class mate "I will become the best link breaker ever" he said with a serious face, before taking a glance at Eve, she had also written down her name on the device. James had already written his name and left the class, with him being a light card user he was bound to get a scholarship or something, so the load wouldn't be too much on his mother.
The students in the class was now very few, just what Aliester wanted. He stood up from where he was sitting and began to walk towards the tab, he could here the whispers of students who were still in the class but he could care less about what they were saying, he got to the tab picked up a pen and wrote down his name "Aliester Harry"
"Are you sure about this?" his teacher asked as he did not know why someone with out any power would want to be a link breaker.
"Yes I am" Aliester said as he walked out of the room.
"So you also want to be a link breaker" Aliester heard a familiar voice and his face immediately became sore. " I wonder what Nick would say about this" Aliester was now surrounded by Nick's goons it was like they were out here waiting for him to come out, they three in number and if he tried to escape it will only make matters worse.
"Follow me" one of them said as they surrounded him and started working towards the gate of the school. No one did or said anything as they saw what was happening.
