Chapter 5: Chapter 5
Clementine began to cry more. She didn't want her parents gone. She didn't want them die. She wanted her parents' back but they weren't back and it made her sad more than she could imagine. If she knew they might gone like this she would be nicer to them.
Clementine took a few minutes to calm down a bit. But it could be seen that she was really sad and her eyes were red now from crying a lot.
"So, I won't see my daddy and mommy again?" Clementine asked Daemon with full of teary eyes. Clementine didn't know what to do now and she didn't felt anything like this before. Daemon gulped nervously. This was really hard but he knew he had to be honest with Clementine.
"I will be honest with you Clementine your parents are probably in heaven right now." Daemon told Clementine. He was never a religious person but he also didn't want to told her directly that her parents were dead.
"I want my mom and dad Daemon." Clementine started to cry again. She felt that as if her whole world changed just in these couple days.
Daemon hesitated a bit then said "Clementine, I know you are sad and want to see your parents again just that never forget that your parents loved you a lot and they will always be with you in here. Even if they are not near you physically that does not mean that they can't be with you." Daemon told Clementine as he pointed his finger at Clementine's heart.
After that Daemon put Clementine down as he was embracing her for the all the time while she was crying.
"Hm." Clementine nodded to Daemon feeling a little better after he said that.
"We need to go Clem. This place is not safe." Daemon said to Clementine.
"Okay. Should we leave right now? Or should we wait for a bit rest then leave? I don't want to face with those monsters." Clementine wasn't sure which was better. Waiting until it gets dark or go away from here before it gets any darker.
"We should leave right now Clem but before that we have to at least take some clothes for you. Come on show me your room." Daemon knew that Clementine will need clothes for sure so he wanted to take some clothes for her.
After that they walked towards Clementine's room. Though before they leaved the living room Daemon took the photo of Ed, Diana and Clementine which was just next to phone in the living room. He then put it in his pocket for now. He would give that to Clementine later on when she was feeling a little better.
He also took the duffel bag and his backpack with him.
After that they went to Clementine's room and started to pack some clothes for her.
"Okay now let's see." Daemon quickly packed Clementine's bag with winter clothes and some other things. He wasn't sure if they would ever return here so he thought she might need some winter clothes for sure. Then he turned to Clementine who was sitting in her bed. Daemon kneeled near her.
"Do you need something else or do you want something specific Clem?" Daemon asked Clementine.
"Daemon, can we take my drawing books?" Clementine loved drawing so she really wanted to take her drawing books with her.
"Sure Clem." Daemon put couple of drawing books inside Clementine's bag with crayons to draw them.
"Are you hungry Clem? I have some donuts and water in my duffel bag."
"Oh, I am really hungry Daemon. Thank you." Clementine told Daemon feeling embarrassed though she was really hungry. She couldn't eat very well these couple days as there were monsters around and she was afraid of them.
Daemon opened his duffel bag and took one bottle of water out with the donuts.
"Okay let's eat."
"Okay." Clementine said.
As they eat Clementine was looking better and better and that made Daemon really happy.
Daemon felt really sad for the little girl. Losing your parents were hard thing and losing them when someone was younger and too top of it trying to survive without them way was harder.
Daemon looked at the Clementine who already finished eating and he can see that she was looking really tired and sleepy.
"Are you tired? Do you want to take a nap Clem?" Daemon asked.
"But didn't we say we will leave right away?" Clementine told Daemon as she didn't want to spend a lot of time as the outside were already getting dark and they agreed that they would leave before.
"Yeah, we did but after some thought I need to look and searched around in the house to see if there is anything useful that we can use later on and, in the meantime, you can take a nap Clem." Daemon told Clementine very slowly with a caring voice that himself did not noticing it.
"Hm, okay." Clementine answered Daemon. She was feeling really sleepy right now and wanted to sleep plus Daemon already told her it was okay so she got ready to sleep a bit.
Daemon put Clementine to the bed and tucked her in very carefully.
"Sleep tight Clem." Daemon said.
"Hm." Clementine nodded then she fall asleep very quickly.
Daemon waited for a couple of minutes just in case Clementine wake up.
As he saw that she was already sleeping he exited the Clem's room and put his duffel bag down which still had shotgun, his assault rifle, a bottle of water now, magazines and bunch of other things inside of it. He put it outside of Clementine's door with his backpack.
After that Daemon started to look around the house.
First, Daemon entered Clementine's parents' room and searched for a bit and found two duffel bags which Daemon took to carry other stuff he might find. He didn't want to pack any of her father's clothes just to not make her sad so he just took the duffel bag's from there.
Daemon also found couple blankets which he though might be useful.
Then Daemon entered the bathroom and took all of the medicine's, soap, toilet paper's, towels in short anything that will help them and put all of it in one of the duffel bags that he put the blanket's in and that bag was now almost full.
