Chapter 9: You're Forgiven.
Kancial and Raven flap their wings once and their soon in the high place in the Castle.
Angels with smiles and the reflection of brightness welcomed them joyfully, both males and females, and Raven can't feel more excited.
"Welcome Prince Kancial" They greeted with warm smiles and low portraits. Raven's excitement can be seen even in thin air.
Kancial with a high head nods at their greetings and walked away into the inner chambers where the Creator dwells.
As they walk on, Raven can't help but stare at the handsome and beautiful faces she's seeing. All of them smiled at her and she returned it gladly.
She follows Kancial deeper into the chambers of bright light where the creator dwells. Even if the place isn't dark like Hasma is, she still feels scared. Yes, she is seeing everywhere clearly, it's not dark or anything, but... She still feels scared.
Scared that the Angels here won't accept her. Scared that the Creator might be angry with her because of all her sins and finds out that she has been a bit sinful... And... And...
And what if he says that her sins are too much to be forgiven? Will the Creator gladly take her as his own daughter as he has done to other female people? Angels? DEMONS?!!
It's not known. And It's like it won't be.
"The Creator is just a step ahead... " Kancial stops walking and looks at her.
Her eyes are down and staring at her feet. She has no idea why she is staring down at her feet and not at this Angel beside her.
"Yet your heart is filled with questions," he says.
How does he know all these? Her thoughts? Her memories? Even the questions she asks inside herself?
"The heavens hear your thoughts. The Creator makes it echo in the ears of his Angels"
Raven's eyes widened. Meaning she has to be careful with what she thinks about. Security alert!
"Are you ready?" Kancial asks
Why didn't he hear the security alert part?
Kancial narrows his eyes and Raven decreased by height immediately.
"Yes. Yes I am"
Kancial nods and takes a deep breath. Raven also follows suite and the two steps in and their eyes behold great light that shines brightly and can never be snuffed out.
There's a white cushion-like material in the room and no one is sitting on it or standing... No one is close to it. It's just on its own.
There's white steam with no heat emitting from the Palace grounds by both sides of the cushion.
Raven searches relentlessly for the Creator with her eyes. There's no one and nothing, not even a spirit in this place.
"Wh-Where is he?"
Kancial doesn't reply to her nor look at her direction but focuses seriously. Raven stares at him as deep lines cut through his forehead and he turns to look at Raven with a shocked and confused expression.
"What-What's wrong? Am I..."
"No." he says once and Raven bites her lower lip. This is what she's been saying.
"Try hard to hear what he has to say"
This is odd. Why won't he easily speak to all of us?
Raven says nothing but breathe in and out again and drain the blood out of her ear as she strains it to hear what the Creator is saying.
Soon, whispers are heard, and when Raven strain it the more, all that she hears is:-
"You're Forgiven"
That's all? That's all what the Creator has to say to her?
But Kancial seems to be hearing more things than that.
'I knew it... I'm no good in this place. Why not I just... '
"Let's go," Kancial says and flaps his wings. Raven immediately does the same thing and the two winged creatures flew out of that Castle hall.
"What did he say?" Raven asks
"Now it's not the time for you to know. Before you get to what he told me, you have to learn a few things about the Demons. But for today, you need rest"
Raven got angry with what Kancial just said.
Does he mean that? Is he the one ruling her life now? Just because she came up here with him?
She says nothing in reply but just breathed in with closed eyes. She knows why she's here. There's no point in getting angry now.
As they flew into the midst of other Angels, Kancial allowed her to land in front of them, causing a great wind to sweep across them.
"Keep her company. Get her a place to rest, and then be at the meeting chamber afterward" he orders and then turn to Raven.
"You'll be okay" he reassures her and then flew away. Unto the higher places.
The Angels left with Raven immediately flooded her with questions.
"Hi, What's your name?"
"What's your gender?"
"Are you an Angel that we have never seen before?"
"How did you get red hair? I Love it!"
Their formality made Raven rethink her steps for coming here.
Because she's the isolated type. But now that these Angels are here...
What will become of her?
As they clouded her with questions, Kancial stared down at them from the height above them that he stood on.
His eyes are on Raven as she looks desperately in need of help.
"So? What did the Creator say?"
A white-haired female Angel asked as she came into the room where Kancial stood and stared down at Raven and the other Angels.
His heart can be heard beating right out of his chest because he does not want to break the heart of this lady in front of him.
"Did he agree to the joining?" she asks again. She looks desperate, and like if she doesn't get an answer quickly, she will die.
Kancial sighed deeply. There's nothing to hide now since it's the Creator that has said it.
"He disapproved it, Harina. He said the Angel that was once a demon is who I will join with"
Both Kancial and the white-haired and winged Angel called Harina felt their hearts break into uncountable pieces the moment those words slipped out of Kancial'a mouth.
"So... All the Promises... " Harina starts and looks up at Kancial with watery eyes.
"Are nothing? We are not getting married again?" Kancial felt his heart break into pieces seeing her like this. What has he caused now?
"Harina... " But his call went on deaf ears, as the female Angel flapped her wings once and the golden dust beneath her wings emitted from the ground. Kancial has never felt so grounded before.
But...
The Creator...
Indeed has a plan.
