Chapter 31: Mikazuki
Ryugu Palace
Kenshin along with Neptune already went back to the palace and met up with Otohime who was being escorted by Fisher Tiger.
"So she tried to escape huh," Kenshin said seeing Otohime being heavily guarded by Fisher Tiger.
Fisher Tiger nodded his head and replied, "Queen Otohime managed to slip past the royal guards from her room but I managed to stop her from leaving."
Otohime pouted hearing Fisher Tiger explain how she tried to escape and glared at Kenshin knowing that he was the one behind all of this.
Seeing Otohime's glare Kenshin shrugged his shoulders and said, "I already knew that you will try to meet with the celestial dragon, too bad that I already decapitated him and told Jinbe to send his send back to Marie Jois."
"What?!"
"How reckless!"
Otohime and Fisher Tiger exclaimed in unison, Neptune who was at the side immediately explained, "Kenshin was just messing around, the celestial dragon is now on his way back to the surface and is being escorted by Jinbe."
When Otohime heard this she sighed in relief, she then approached Kenshin and smacked him on the head, "You think you're funny, huh?!"
Clutching his head, Kenshin chuckled and replied, "Hehe, I was so close to cutting his head off, good thing Neptune arrived and saved the celestial dragon from the evil blind swordsman."
Seeing the confused look on Otohime and Fisher Tiger, Neptune started explaining what happened earlier enlightening the two as they stared at Kenshin like he was a genius.
Lifting his head up high, Kenshin said in an arrogant tone, "That was something that I just thought at the moment no need to make a big deal out of it."
"Shameless." Fisher Tiger murmured seeing how arrogant Kenshin was acting.
Otohime chuckled but then her expression turned serious as she asked in a worried tone, "Doesn't this make you the celestial dragon's target?"
Looking at Otohime who had a worried look on his face Kenshin smiled and replied nonchalantly, "One of the four emperors is already my enemy so adding another random world noble wouldn't hurt."
"But. . ." Otohime tried to argue but was stopped by Neptune, he then turned his attention to the minister of the right and gave him a slight nod.
Seeing Neptune's gesture the minister of the right went to the dining hall where the group ate earlier and came back a few moments later carrying a sword.
Neptune then looked at Kenshin and said, "Kenshin, I tried to give you this sword earlier but was interrupted by the sudden appearance of the celestial dragon. but now seeing that you will have a lot more enemies, I think this sword will greatly help you in your future battles."
The minister of the right then passed the sword to Kenshin who had a confused look on his face as he asked, "Why do you think I need a new sword?"
Neptune was not expecting Kenshin's question so he asked back, "You don't want this sword?"
Kenshin shook his head and unsheathed the sword on his waist and said, "This meito is named "Tenken" (Heaven Sword) and is one of the 21 great grade swords in the world and I am not a two-sword style swordsman so having two swords is not ideal."
Seeing Kenshin confidently introducing his sword Neptune smirked and said in a dramatic voice while trying to grab the sword from Kenshin's hands, "Is that so? then this sword that is one of the 12 supreme grade swords in the world is really useless to you."
Hearing the words "Supreme Grade Sword" coming out from Neptune's mouth, Kenshin held the sword tightly and swatted Neptune's approaching hand, and said, "I think you are right, this sword is indeed worthy but I will not be the one to be using it."
He then carefully checked the scabbard that was blue in color with a crescent moon design on the top.
"This sword is named "Mikazuki" (Crescent Moon), the very first king of the Fishman Island in search of a new place to build the kingdom found this sword on the sea bed in one of his journeys."
Kenshin looked skeptical hearing the history of the sword and asked, "Then how did you know that this is one of the 12 supreme grade swords?"
Upon hearing Kenshin's question and saw doubt in his eyes, Neptune was pissed but still explained, "Around 40 years ago a man named Shimotsuki Kozaburo visited our Fishman Island, it was a disastrous year where the Fishman Island was constantly attacked by pirates kidnappings, and murder was a common sight to see."
"Upon arriving on Fishman Island, Kozaburo helped the fishmen and mermaids who were being murdered and captured, we also exchanged a few moves due to some misunderstandings and that was when Kozaburo visited the Ryugu Palace and saw this sword."
Kenshin had a sour look on his face when he heard the name Kozaburo and couldn't help but comment when he thought of what his father told him about the history of their clan "That idiot left our country all of a sudden causing a great disturbance on the Shimotsuki Clan thinking that he was kidnapped or killed."
"Oh? is he part of your family, Kenshin?" Neptune asked, surprised to find out that Kozaburo was actually connected to Kenshin.
Nodding his head, Kenshin summarized his past and said, "I am from the Shimotsuki Clan and Shimotsuki Kozaburo is my uncle and the older brother of my father."
Neptune then laughed as he remembered something Kozaburo said to him in the past, he then looked at Kenshin and asked, "If you are not planning on using this sword then to whom will you give it?"
Glancing at the Mikazuki on his hand Kenshin smiled and said, "I will give this to my Fiancee, I am sure that white-haired old man will not give her any treasures especially a sword as valuable as this one."

He is also the father of Koushiro and the grandfather of Kuina.
