Chapter 46: Unreasonable
Being escorted toward Aurous Island, Hiyori held Kenshin's hand and said, "Looks like he regards you highly seeing how he asked his crew to personally escort you."
Kenshin shook his head and replied with a smile, "He is just being cautious seeing the sword princess on board my ship."
"What a glib tongue you have, how many girls did you seduce using that technique," Hiyori asked as she stared at Kenshin intently.
*cough!* *cough!*
Kenshin just faked some coughs as he turned his attention at Izo and asked, "How powerful do you think Tesoro is compared to a marine admiral?"
Izo thought for a moment and replied, "I think he can fight an admiral but won't be able to defeat them, he also doesn't have a conqueror's haki so he is clearly at a disadvantage if you infuse your attacks with conqueror's haki."
"That's good to know, but don't let your guard down as we are at his territory," Kenshin warned, he only wanted to see what kind of person Tesoro is and decide what to do afterward.
Kenshin's group continued to converse with each other until they finally reached Aurous Island.
"My boss is already waiting at his home which is not far from here." Tanaka who appeared below the deck said.
"Lead the way then," Kenshin replied as they followed behind Tanaka.
Tesoro's Mansion
Tesoro who was currently inside his room smirked seeing Kenshin from afar, he then grabbed his golden suit as he exited his room to meet with his special guests.
Looking at the majestic mansion in front of them Kenshin couldn't help but click his tongue and comment as he shielded his eyes, "This golden mansion is too bright for my eyes."
"Hehe, thank you for the compliment "Demon Blade" Kenshin." The huge golden door opened and Tesoro who was wearing a golden suit said as he stood in front of the golden door.
Staring at Tesoro who had an arrogant look on his face, Kenshin smiled warmly and replied, "Nice to finally meet you, Gild Tesoro."
Tesoro took off his hat, glanced at Kenshin's companions, and said as he took out four bounty posters.
"Sword Princess Hiyori 208 million beli bounty."
"Whitebeard's 16th division commander Izo, 315 million beli bounty."
"Fishmen Jinbe 250 million beli bounty."
"And finally "Demon Blade" Kenshin with a terrifying 969 million beli bounty."
He then looked at Kenshin and asked, "May I know why such a fearsome group came to visit me?"
'Trying to get to the main point right away huh,' Kenshin thought after hearing what Tesoro said.
"Let me be direct with you then," Kenshin said as he approached Tesoro and stretched out his hand.
"I am here to recruit you to be part of my crew."
Tesoro who thought that Kenshin wanted to be part of the illegal business was caught off guard when he heard what Kenshin said.
"Hahaha, you want me to join your crew?" Tesoro laughed as he couldn't believe what Kenshin said.
"That's right, I'm looking for strong people and It just so happened that you fit my criteria," Kenshin replied, not caring about Tesoro's reaction.
Wiping the tears off his eyes, he looked at Kenshin and said with an evil smile on his face, "You do know that I have lots of enemies that are after my head, Doflamingo's officers just came yesterday trying to capture me."
"If you agree to join me then I will deal with Dolfamingo for you," Kenshin said, Hiyori who was at the side tried to dissuade Kenshin for his rash decision but Kenshin ignore her.
"Oh? will you really fight Doflamingo just to recruit me?" Tesoro asked doubtfully, he didn't believe Kenshin to be this naive.
Nodding his head, Kenshin stared at Tesoro and said seriously, "I'm not the type of person to spout nonsense."
Hearing Kenshin's confirmation, Tesoro shook his head and replied jokingly, "If you can bring me Doflamingo's head then I will join your crew."
"Alright then, I will come back again with Doflamingo's head," Kenshin said as he turned around and left leaving behind a dumbfounded Tesoro.
Hiyori and the rest also had confused looks on their faces as they followed behind Kenshin walking their way back to the ship.
"What are you thinking?!" Hiyori grabbed Kenshin's arm and asked angrily.
Kenshin glanced back at Hiyori who was pouting angrily, he couldn't help but pinch her puffed cheeks making her even angrier.
"Hahaha, you don't have to worry about anything. Tesoro isn't the type of person that can be recruited with mere words so I didn't bother conversing with him any further." Kenshin explained, he then patted Hiyori's head and asked.
"He was the one who said that If I can bring him Doflamingo's head then he will join my crew, am I right?"
Hiyori nodded her head still feeling confused.
"Then if I brought Doflamingo's head and he still didn't join my crew then I will just beat him up until he agrees."
