Chapter 5: Admission Invitation

One year has passed, and Scorpius is already 10 years old. Thanks to an adequate diet and physical activity, Scorpius' figure this year is very slender and tall, half a head taller than his brother Draco. Rich and handsome appearance, with a gentle temperament. As an elder brother, Draco was often jealous, and Draco had the illusion that Scorpius was his elder brother if he looked at his height alone. It's not just appearances. The two brothers are obviously twins, but their personality retreats from north to south. Having idolized his father blindly, Draco has cultivated arrogance similar to Lucius, although he still acts childishly. Scorpius has not inherited the character of his parents at all. He is always low-key, quiet, modest and polite, confident and unassuming, much like a Hufflepuff. Although Lucius and Narcissa are satisfied with Scorpius's maturity and stability over his peers, they love the domineering Draco even more. After all, Draco's personality is more in line with the Malfoy family's usual style and has a little bit of Childishness, which can also inspire parents' love of protecting their calf.

This year, thanks to his tireless efforts, Scorpius finally finished gnawing on the books he had brought from his grandmother's house. Scorpius began to call his ideas to 12 Grimmauld Place. In the past year, Scorpius has often inquired about his beloved grandmother through letters and has long since figured out the exact location of Black's old house. On this day, under the leadership of Dobby, he apparated to 12 Grimmauld Place and saw the house elf Kreacher living alone in it. Kreacher was already over 600 years old at this time. Even if calculated based on the age of the elves, he had reached the stage of declining old age. As described in the original book, it lived alone in the empty Black house. The elf was bound by contract magic. Without the permission of the owner, it cannot leave the old house for half a step. It can only talk to the portrait of its old owner, Mrs Black, all year round, so its personality becomes a bit crazy. But when it knew that Scorpius was the son of Narcissa and had the blood of Black, it automatically regarded Scorpius as its half master, and its tone and attitude were full of respect and obedience. Scorpius knows that house elves, such intelligent creatures, actually know the rewards of grace. Only by being friendly to house elves can they gain their true loyalty. It was this mistake that led to Sirius's death indirectly, in the original book. Scorpius did not give Kreacher a condescending attitude because of Kreacher's apparent obedience, but kindly expressed his sympathy to Kreacher, allowing Kreacher to put on clean clothes. Candy snacks brought from home moved Kreacher to tears of gratitude and resulted in a wave of loyalty.

Kreacher took the initiative to take Scorpius around the Black House. As the mansion of the Black family, 12 Grimmauld Place is a typical pure-blooded wizard's house. The decorations can be seen everywhere, all with hundreds of years of history. Many of them are silverware forged by ancient fairies. If these objects are placed outside, they are definitely priceless antiques. Upon Voldemort's return, this house will become the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix, and it is still uninhabited, and naturally, it is not protected by magic. It can be seen from the thick dust around that it has been here for a long time. No one has been here.

When I came to the studio on the second floor, a very wide tapestry was hung on one of the walls, covering almost the entire wall. The tapestry recorded the family tree of the Black family. Scorpius was surprised to find that his name appeared in Black. In the family genealogy, after asking Kreacher, he learned that Mrs Black died in 1985 when he was 5 years old. Scorpius remembered that there was still a Slytherin pendant box, one of Voldemort's Horcruxes, stored in this room, but Scorpius, who has not yet gone to school at the moment, dare not have any illusions about it. He knew clearly what a Horcrux brought. Danger.

The goal of Scorpius's trip was the library of the Black family. As the oldest sacred 28 families, the Black family's collection of books, in terms of quality or quantity, is even better than that of the Malfoy family. There are many out-of-print magic books in it, and even rare books from the Middle Ages, making him hungry for knowledge. Scorpius was very excited. Anyway, the Black family has no one to succeed. Instead of letting these precious books fall into the hands of Harry Potter, who doesn't like to read, leaving the treasures dusty and violent, it's better to benefit yourself, and I can barely be regarded as Black's sideline. In any case, I am more qualified than Harry Potter! After Scorpius obtained Kreacher's consent in the name of a member of the Black family, he unceremoniously packed all the books of the Black family in the portable bag. There are hundreds of books in the collection here, which are as inclusive as the collections of the Malfoy family, covering almost all areas of magic. Many of the records about ancient magic charms can be shared with Scorpius in the Malfoy collection. Scorpius was surprised and delighted by the mutual confirmation of what he had seen. But the most precious thing is the secret curse note that the Black family only inherits from the direct line. Some of Scorpius's notes in this notebook have already been seen at his grandmother's house, but Black's old house is inherited from the patrilineal surname after all, and Druella's daughter only has a matrilineal surname, so I found it at Black's old house. The notes are relatively more complete.

{ Obtained as an addendum to the Black Family Curse }

It is a pity that there are still no dark magic books in the Black family's collection. Scorpius inferred that, like the Malfoy family, the Black family also has a special room for storing prohibited items. Scorpius specifically asked Kreacher about this, and Kreacher said he didn't know anything about it. Kreacher was unable to lie to Scorpius due to the slavery of the house elves, and he had no motive to lie. Scorpius could only infer that the secret of this secret room was probably only in the hands of the core members of the family, and the house elves were not qualified to contact them.

After that, life returned to simple reading during the day, physical training in the evening with Dobby, and only on the weekends could he relax and read letters from pen pals, responding to them attentively.

Before his 11th birthday, Scorpius, with the help of the time turner, successfully read the books and documents of the Black family. Through the cross-comparison and integration of the two major family collections, Scorpius has a clear understanding of the history of the magical world, the formation of magic, and the development of spells. His biggest gain is to piece together a lot of clues in the massive books. Regarding the historical secrets of the Middle Ages, as well as successfully mastering the interpretation and deciphering of Guruuni magic texts by self-study.

The ancient human language of the wizarding world has the same mother writing system as the ancient human language of the muggles. Both are composed of 22 Phoenician scripts. However, as time went by the wizards discovered the magical power hidden in the text. During the development and evolution, the Rune text gradually formed its own writing system. Ancient wizards developed various runes that were exclusive to their own. They gathered and conducted magic power through the runes, which was especially common in alchemy, but with the advent of the era of peace, the use of magic has become more and more life-oriented, and the use of ancient magic texts has gradually declined.

Scorpius was an expert on ancient human languages in his previous life. Through his previous experience and the rich collections of the two major families, he quickly figured out the rules of the Rune text and the tricks to decipher it. If anyone knew it, it would be an amazing achievement. The incomprehensibility of Rune is well known. According to the normal schedule of Hogwarts, ancient magic is a subject that can only be taken in the third grade, and that course only teaches how to recognize common basic runes and words. The level of knowledge of ancient magic literature that Scorpius possesses is far above anything Hogwarts can teach, as he can read human history documents written in ancient magic and read with gusto.

Scorpius, who is on the verge of his 11th birthday, began to reflect on his progress, and he is very pleased with his accomplishments. Though he was born into a family that stood on the wrong team, he might be involved in the tragedy of the family in a few years, but compared to Harry, the protagonist in the original book, he is off to a much stronger start. Compared with the white little wizard Harry, he has a very thorough understanding of the wizarding world. The family's bloodline power and the inheritance of secret spells guarantee his future potential. More importantly, he has the time-defying cheater, so his life in Hogwarts is destined to take a super-study route.

Just when Scorpius was full of illusions and longing for life at Hogwarts, his 11th birthday soon came, and Scorpius and Draco both received an invitation letter from Hogwarts.

On the second page of the parchment of the invitation letter, there is a list of textbooks, wizard robes, cloaks, wands and cauldrons needed in the first grade.

"I think Durmstrang is more suitable for him". After seeing the letter, Lucius tried his last effort. After all, there are very few restrictions on dark arts research there, and there is no need to live with non-pure-blood students. Lucius believes that Malfoy should be there to get a better education.

"Are you willing to go to such a far place for our precious son? It's still a small island, how inconvenient it would be!". Narcissa insisted on her opinion and wanted to send Malfoy to Hogwarts, which was closer to home. "Here you are also considered as chairman of Hogwarts Board of Governors, maybe you can take care of it."

"You know that I'm not on the right track with the old man with the white beard." Lucius's face was a little ugly.

"I'm still going to Hogwarts," Scorpius said calmly. Draco had a comprehensive attitude towards these, and his brother and a few close friends would be going to Hogwarts, so naturally, he also voted to go to Hogwarts. Lucius shrugged helplessly to agree with the consensus of the mother and son.

Since both Scorpius and Draco needed to buy the necessities for the new school, the family of four took the family's luxurious night horse carriage together. After Lucius chanted the spell and the destination, the pattern on the carriage body had a touch of magic and brilliance. Slowly ascending into the air, they flew to Diagon Alley. Scorpius, who was familiar with the original book, knew that in front of the empty carriage, the invisible Threstral was responsible for pulling the carriage. Only people who have seen death can see Threstral with the naked eye. The Malfoy family deserves to be the most powerful family today, and Scorpius and others don't need to pass through the dirty cauldron bar to land directly from the sky to the exclusive carriage parking space in Diagon Alley.
