Chapter 2: Chapter 1: Emergency [1]

People frequently tell me that life is a series of choices.

That's correct, isn't it? Every day, we make decisions that shape our lives.

What we need at that point is the effort we've put in up to that point, as well as the people who support us. And when that isn't enough, the last thing we need is "fortune."

"Luck" is so important that it is said to be a component of one's ability. You may catch a cold on the day of the event, no matter how hard you try.

It is something that human power cannot completely control. And that is good fortune.

Is it true that I was sent to this dream world by chance?

That is entirely dependent on how you feel about it. If you are content with your current situation, you are probably unlucky; if you yearn for the world of anime, you are probably fortunate.

As for me, I'm content because I enjoy both anime and special effects to some extent. What difference does it make?

I do, indeed. It's past time for me to stop droning on about meaningless matters.

In front of me are two machines: a weapon/ability gacha and a girl gacha.

My fate in this world will be determined by luck, yes, luck.

The weapon/ability gacha will have a significant impact on my future actions. In the girl gacha, depending on which girl emerges, I could be in mortal danger.

Some heroines despise men, while others prefer girls and even attempt to murder the hero.

If at all possible, I'd like to have a girl who was a childhood friend of the hero.

I don't care if it's a minor character's weapon or ability; I just want one who can properly defend herself.

They didn't, however, say anything about a dangerous mission. It's as if the moment you obtain a weapon or an ability, you know things are going to be difficult.

"Or you can spin out."

I made my decision and approached the machine. The machine features a touch screen where you can check your current points and a spinning gacha wheel.

For the time being, I'll begin with the weapons and abilities. I'll be able to handle a dangerous girl if she emerges.

"Let's Get Started...!"

On the touch screen, I pressed the "Spin the Gacha" button.

The mechanical drive sound from the gacha machine could be heard. After a while, the machine's lower part, which resembled a copier, slowly slid out. Is anything going to come out of this?

The prediction was correct, and an object appeared in less than ten seconds.

It had been....

It was the object.

.

.

.

.

"It's a handgun...!"

It was just a regular handgun.

The text was displayed on the touch screen. What exactly is it?

[Beretta M92F (Beretta Kinji variant)]

The pistol wielded by Kinji Tohyama, the protagonist of Aria the Scarlet Ammo. It has been illegally modified by the same work's character "Hiraga Bun," and is capable of full-auto and three-point burst.

There is an unlimited supply of magazines available.

Is that correct? Is the description shown here?

"I've never even held one." I've never worked with one before. "A sword would have been preferable."

But I know how to use it. But I found out about it in a way that I can't share with anyone. Don't tell a soul! Guys!.

"Hmm?

Something else has just occurred to me. It appears to be one of those newer watch-style cell phones.

While I was contemplating this, a new description appeared on the touch panel.

[Remembering the first time total gacha was used.

A high-performance watch-style cell phone.

You can use it not only for communication, internet, and photos, but also to draw weapons and abilities gacha from a distance.

It also enables you to transfer tools from your home and the gacha to your hand.]

Souvenirs. Aren't there such things in smartphone games? It's also convenient.

"All right, next."

I wrapped my watch around my arm and focused on the girl gacha.

The weapon/ability gacha gave me a gun, which I wasn't used to, so I just hoped for a friendly character to appear.

When I pressed the "Spin Gacha" button, I was greeted with the message below.

.\s.\s.\s.\s.

And I got "Yukina Himeiragi"...

I walked into room 1 on the fifth floor.

That was all that was shown.

So there isn't a detailed explanation for a female.

And who is Himeiragi-chan? Isn't she a lucky lady? She's wise, strong, clumsy, and adorable.

The issue is that she has feelings for me. The girl's purpose in the original story was to keep an eye on the main character, so I assume her feelings for the main character were for work. I don't like her, but I also don't dislike her. She's just someone I get along with.

In any case, I needed to say hello.

I focus my attention on the stairs leading to the upper floor. Then I heard footsteps approaching the bottom of the stairs.

Yukina Himeiragi, the one I had just summoned, was the one who came down.

"..."

"..."

We came to a halt on the stairwell and fell silent.

"... Would you like to take a seat for the time being?"

"Yeah, I suppose so."

We take a seat and face each other. What exactly is this silence? What kind of silence is this after the parents have died, an arranged marriage? I'm not sure.

But is she really like this?

I had imagined her to be more dignified. Is she really that shy?

"My name is Sho Yozuki. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"What?

Hello, my name is Yukina Himeiragi. It's a pleasure to meet you. Uh,...."

"You can call me whatever you want. I'm not fussy."

"I see what you mean. I'll refer to you as Yozuki."

"How do you know I'm older than you?" says the narrator.

I'm not particularly tall. I'm a freshman in high school, but I'm only 160cm tall. I'm in my first year of high school and I'm loving it. I'm just under 160cm tall.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea, but it is. That's how I found out about you, Yozuki.

"Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,"

In other words, it acts as a Fate servant.

"So, what are your options?"

"Yes. Isn't it true that we're going to do everything here? Let us give it our all."

"I suppose so."

I feel like I'm turning into the Himeiragi-chan I imagined. After all, she did appear to be nervous.

Oh, she appears to be going to school tomorrow.

"Really?

This world is incredible. They didn't tell us that in the tutorial, after all.

Are you saying that the tutorial's sole purpose was to teach you the world's system?

Is that correct?

Then it appears that the senior is unaware of many things. Before I go to...., I'll get you something to drink.

Thank you very much. Thank you; I'll handle it.

Himeiragi-chan then vanished into the kitchen. She then returned with a vengeance.

"Senpai! It's dreadful!

What's the problem?

What's the problem?

I mused absentmindedly.

No way, sir!

There is nothing in the refrigerator!

Huh?

As Himeiragi-chan drew me closer, I realized it was indeed empty. I'll have to go out and buy something.

Yes, I believe my senior's room contains a bankbook.

As Himeiragi-chan had mentioned, a bankbook was on my desk in my room. The balance in the bank was....

"Four hundred thousand dollars?

"Every month, 200,000 yen will be given to each person who lives here, according to them.

That's a reasonable figure, and it shattered my dream!

I believe we should receive more than we can use!

So long as it's there, I suppose. Let's go shopping together.

Oh, I'll accompany you.

What are you talking about, both of you?

It's nice to meet you.

That's how we ended up going shopping, but something odd about Himeiragi-appearance chan's bothered me.

I'm not sure what it was, but something seemed to be missing.

I locked my gaze on Himeiragi-chan.

She had a cute face, silky hair, white arms and legs extending from her summer clothes and miniskirt, and she appeared to be strong.

Himeiragi-outfit chan's is, by the way, the uniform of Saikai Gakuen, the middle school she attends in the original story.

"Senpai?

What are you staring at?

Himeiragi-chan seemed to notice that I was staring in different directions. But I shouldn't be in such a rush here. Fortunately, I was able to learn more about the uneasy feeling I had felt. If I brought it up, it would be as if it never happened.

"Where is the Snow Kasumi Wolf, Hiiragi-chan?

Yukihaka Wolf, you are correct.

Himeiragi-chan hadn't had her snow wolf, a weapon that was synonymous with her, since we met.

In the original story, it was shrunk down and carried around in a case. It was mentioned in the original story shrunk down and carried in a case, as if she took it everywhere with her, never letting go.

Is it possible that the girl's weapon must also be obtained through the weapon/ability gacha?

Oh, no... that's not it... If I'm just going shopping, I don't need to bring it with me.

"Hmm?"

"What's the problem?"

I don't think the serious Himeiragi-chan would say something like that.

And guess what?

I'm thinking about buying a lot of things!

It could get in the way!

Let us just leave it at that.

I avoided further comment and began descending the stairs to the first floor.

We went to the bank to get some cash. This watch is extremely useful for navigation.

That wasn't the case. It was much hotter. According to Himeiragi-chan, the school's first semester opening ceremony is the day after tomorrow, so it should be April, but it's hot enough to make me sweat.

I suspected something was wrong, so I used my watch's map function and the Internet to investigate, and to my surprise, I discovered that this was an artificial island in the Pacific Ocean.

It's a unique island where advanced science and magic are being researched, as well as non-human species, and I realized it's a hybrid of Academy City and Genshinko Island.

And if the request is for information about an incident that occurred on this island, it will most likely be nothing more than a cat hunt.

I felt foolish because the gun in my pocket looked like a peashooter, but before I knew it, I was at the bank.

The bank was typical; there were two people in line at the ATM. I asked Himehiragi-chan to take a seat and then went to the ATM.

Then there was a gunshot.

No, it wasn't my fault! For Christ's sake, I'm not that stupid! Because you were shot by someone else! Please don't get me wrong: I'm not! Yes, yes, sickeningly.

If you pull a gun in a bank, you could be mistaken for a bank robber. Yes, to bank robbers...

"Put money in this case."

Customers and bank employees were being held at gunpoint by the masked men.

A bank robbery all of a sudden?

I nodded and looked down to see if there was a text message on my watch phone.

"Urgent Mission," it was called.

Is this, in fact, a mission?
