Chapter 5: Day 3 November
The principal office was bustling as Shimaji. Hirota, Yasuhara, Naru, Lin. Tamura and several of the missing girls classmate confront the principal with evidence and picture of people who went missing in school after digging some information. Hirota threatening the principal to make it open investigation or he had to face the closure of the school.
Mai was in class and when they're done with it, they pulled Mai and told her she's no longer have to pretend to be a student and bring in more equipment to set up. Shimaji Reiko's classmate, including Tamura helped them. Ayako and Takigawa doesn't have to pretend anymore but they're given two room for sleeping quarter beside their bases.
Mai sighed as she heard Ayako ranted as they had to stay in 1 tatami's room. But Mai pointed that she thought it's better than the boys who had to share that room with five people. And they're lucky that they haven't called Hara Masako yet. Or else they had to share that room with one more people.
"Mai, do the temperature and take Matsuzaki-san with you." Naru ordered as soon as they entered the base.
"Don't worry about that old hag, Mai, she's too old to be taken anyway," Takigawa added which earned a smack on the back of his head by the said priestess.
"WHAT DO YOU SAID?" Ayako started to chided in.
"Or maybe I should pair you with her instead," Naru stared at Takigawa.
"No!!!" both of them shouted.
Ayako grabbed Mai's hand when Mai gathered the stuff she needed. "Let's go Mai!" She practically dragged the poor Mai like a sack.
"You know you should have just confess to her," Yasuhara grinned like chesire cat.
"As if I'd like that violent hag," Takigawa signed. "So when will you tell us that you have a girlfriend already, Shounen?"
"I don't wanna make you jealous, Bou-san, you're my one and only," Yasu teased.
After 15 minutes later, Mai and Ayako came back to the base and saw Yasuhara shuffling through paper.
"Did you remember what happened with mentally unstable person 80 years ago?" Yasuhara asked with frown on his face.
"Confinement? Torture? No treatment at all since their existence was smearing the family?" Ayako said.
"Apparently, there's one record of a guy who was considered died young in the great grandmother's family but he appeared in the wedding pictures just a week after he was pronounced dead."
"Then after that there's a record of person goes missing for the first time in that year," Yasu continued. "And here's the data of person who goes missing," He presented 5 pages of list. "And I noticed the lesser missing person after this building become unused. But in this month 3 people has gone missing."
"And here's the blueprint to this building." Tamura said presenting it in his laptop.
"Takigawa-san, Matsuzaki-san please perform cleansing in these area," Naru pointed at 5 areas.
"I think we should add this area too," Mai pointed at the corridor, "There was something odd at that place."
"I'll do it, Mai, accompany me," Ayako said.
They shook their head but doesn't say anything.
"Are you sure you don't need help?" Takigawa asked out of concern.
"Nope," Ayako said and went to get ready.
"Did you have any dream?" Naru ask Mai.
"With Gene?" Mai asked. "Nope."

Ayako perform her usual cleansing ritual and started chanting in the last place they added. It was on the second floor. And Mai was standing behind her when she felt something grabbed her right ankle.
Naru was already catching her before she got dragged.
They saw something like mirror now where Mai was sitting with Naru holding her.
"Naumakushanmandabazaradan kan!" Takigawa chanted and it vanished.
