Chapter 2: IT WAS NOT ME IT WAS YOU
"How is she?"
"She is put on life support, oh man! she will be alright, if you weren't there she's already dead, you saved her, she'll be alright, see! you are drenched and now sneezing, just go home, what if someone sees you" YJ did not hear a word Sam said.
YJ was sitting and staring at the ceiling in the hospital lobby. He could not gather his courage to pay a visit to the girl, whom he brought into the hospital. She was battling for life.
IT'S HER FAULT.
I'M THE ONE WHO RESCUED HER.
He was talking out loud to himself on his way home. He could not sleep even if he closed his eyes. He was tossing and turning all night. He kept hearing a steady beat inside his head like his head was going to split.
The next morning the news, that YJ saved a drowning girl, had gone viral. The whole country was impressed by how he risked his life to rescue a stranger.
SUCH A HEROIC ACT, YOU ARE WONDERFUL YJ.
YOU ARE AN ANGEL CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN TO SAVE HER.

HOPE HE IS DOING WELL, HATE THOSE STALKERS.
YJ could not believe his eyes while reading the comment section.
"They want you back, lucky you!" Leela was thrilled that things turned out well.
"Who let them know? Is that you?" YJ did not sound pleased.
"Why are you getting mad? That was the only way to get out this... this... oh come on! a good deed always pays, no one can drag you down this time , trust me, Sam will pick you tomorrow at five morning, ah you are having an interview tomorrow, check your email." Leela was trying to console him.
"Wait wait don't hang up, how is she doing?" YJ was curious.
"Poor girl, she is in a coma, doctors say it can last from days to weeks while some cases last several years" Leela had already checked her condition.
" I wanna see her, what's her room number and mmm her name?" All he had known about her was that tv said, she was in her early twenties.
" Now? alright I'll send Sam, he will" Leela hung up.
"She is so young, the best time of life, why would she make such a harsh choice, how come she forgot her mother, see who's suffering now" Sam was expressing his views on why teens are being immature these days while walking down the hospital corridor.
As they entered the room, a woman in her late fifties was sitting beside the bed, chanting Buddhist sermons. It was her, lying on the bed, attached to machines.
"I'm so sorry, I should come to you first, I will forever be grateful for saving my daughter. I'm , I'm..." that woman held YJ's hands. Her eyes got teary as she talked to him.
"YJ, this is Mrs. Fernando, Sasha's mother" Sam introduced her.

That name echoed in YJ's head. Seeing Sasha in that condition was too hard for him to bear. YJ felt as those machines and tubes, which were around her, connected to his body.
He witnessed how Sasha's mother was dying thousand times. He could not stop imagining his mom in her place.
YJ left the room,let the others continue their conversation, to answer a call.
"Son, can we talk, are you busy right now?" It was his mom.
"Sure, mom how's your headache? did you see a doctor?"
"I'm fine dear, no need to see a doctor, I'm just getting old, and how about you?"
" I'm ok, mom umm I'm sorry"
"Son, why are you sorry?"
"Umm just, just I saw missed calls, I couldn't call you back"
"It's ok, I knew you were busy, you are doing ok right, don't skip your meals, love you son"
"Me too" She hung up before he responded.
"Is that your mom?"
"Yes" YJ replied.
WAIT! TO WHOM AM I TALKING?
YJ turned around. He took a step backwards. He could not believe his eyes.
" You? you woke up!" Sasha was Infront of him.
YJ was weeping tears of joy. She was perfectly fine.What more he could wish for. YJ leaned towards. As he was trying to hold her, she turned out to be an illusion.
"What I'm seeing now?" He was utterly dumfounded.
"Hi, how you doin'? you murderer" YJ slowly placed his hand over his mouth, when he heard Sasha was talking.
It was exactly her voice, YJ was not mistaken. Then YJ noticed that she was still on the same dress, the red cardigan which she was wearing, when he carried her to the shore.
" No no it's not true, you are not real, go away "
Sam heard YJ was screaming. When he came out he saw YJ collapsed on the floor, wrapping his head with both hands.
" Are you feeling any better? why didn't you get enough sleep, here take this medicine ?" Sam was there, in YJ's bedroom, when YJ woke up.
"What's the time now? How long I've been sleeping?" YJ asked Sam , soon after realized it was not only two of them in his room.
"What are you doing here?" YJ raised his voice. Sasha was sitting on the bed.
" Why? I'm calling Leela, I have to tell that you are fine.It's four fifteen, you've been sleeping five hours,what's wrong with you" Sam thought it was him whom YJ called.
"Sorry, how is Sasha? " YJ had so much to ask.
"Forget her, look what you're doing, is there a ghost or something?you kind of space out" Sam got annoyed and left the room.
"Wait wait..." YJ yelled.
" You can't escape from me, only you can see me or hear me." Sasha gained on YJ.
" How is that possible? you're in a coma" YJ was astonished.
"It's all because of you, you are the one who went to the sea. I was there to save you.Now you're living your life, I got stuck here, neither living nor dead" Sasha broke into tears.
"What! you can't go back to your body, now you're a ghost?"
" I'm not dead, so I'm still not a ghost."Sasha corrected him.
" You can't swim right, then why did you step into the water. It's me who rescued you, If I wasn't there you are already dead ok?" YJ stated.
"Did you say something, I contacted them, you're taking a day off tomorrow, you are not too well" Sam peaked into the room.
"No No I'm fine, Cancel the day off" YJ commanded.
" Oh my god! so should I call you Mr. Saviour, how could you turn me to the suicider.You misled everyone and became a hero, I will not spare you, I'm gonna follow you wherever you go" Sasha warned him.
"So what do you want me to do? Is there anything I can do to bring you back to life?" For the first time YJ looked into Sasha's eyes.
"Tell everyone, IT WAS NOT ME IT WAS YOU"
