Chapter 21: New Start
"Happy New Year Tara " Ronn said over the phone . Both have promised to wish each other first of every one. "Happy New Year Ronn ". Tara said smiling .
"I heard your voice the very first" Ronn said in excitement .
"Same here " Tara was delighted.
"So ... wassup dear Angel ?"
"Going to sleep Ronn . Take care "
"It's so early to sleep now "
"Early for you , late for me . bye-bye"
"Okay then .Take care .Good night Tara"
"Good night Ronn " .
Tara felt guilty from deep inside to cut the call .She was not interested in making long night calls as she had classes next day but she cared his feelings more . So she dialled his number . 'He needed to talk with me . His voice said so ' She said in mind .
"Hey , Tara ."
" Let's talk for a while . Hmm !? "
"Okay .. So you tell me , what's your plans for this new year ... "

"Happy New Year Ronn " Anu said .
"Hey , Happy New year " Ronn told .
"I've been waiting for you . You are little early than usual .What happened ? " She asked .
"Hmm .. nothing much .Heard that Ella comes early to school , in hope to meet her and say a 'hi' ".
"Oh ... Hmm ..Okay .. Fine . Carry on Ronn ." Anu said suddenly with a gloomy face . Ronn saw Ella walking towards her classroom from a distance . Ronn excused himself and rushed towards Ella . Suddenly a classmate of hers came across the way and Ella as soon as she met him , hugged and wished him new year . He hugged back and wished her too. Ronn was shocked . "Who's he ?" Ronn asked to himself . "It's Marco . Heard that they are a couple ." It was Das . Ronn turned and gave a shocked look at Das and asked " What ? Rubbish ." He said .
"It's the main talk of the school .It's bad that you didn't knew ."
"Who told you ?"
"I heard her friends talking . They said she's so much over him .And when I checked , it's possible Ronn .He is handsome and rich and also popular . She love boys like that ."
"Move aside . I'm gonna ask her right away ."
"Don't shame yourself again Ronn . "
Those words striked Ronn . He recollected the way Ella treated him on the day of proposal .He didn't wanted it happen again but he needed to know the truth . But he turned and looked again and saw Ella and Marco holding hands and he just turned his head not able to see more of it . He went to the class with a heavy heart .

"Two coffee please . " It was Ella at the school canteen . Ronn was sitting at one of the table . His friends teased him as soon as Ella entered . " Hey, Ronn .. it's your Ella. " They laughed and teased him .He sighed. Ella sat on a table next to Ronn and one of her friends sat with her . Ronn looked at her for a moment just to see if she would look at him . But she gave no notice . So Ronn cleared his throat and Said " Happy New Year Ella ." She looked up and laughed .
"Oh ! You're here too . I didn't even notice . Can you blame me? I only notice precious things ." Ronn knew she was mocking him but he laughed along with her .
"So .. Happy New Year to you too ." Ella said with a grin . Ronn smiled .
"Do you want anything more Ella ? I mean anything more to eat or drink rather than coffee ? I can pay . It will be my pleasure ."
Ronn said hoping She would accept .
"Oh , what can you buy ? tell me ? I can buy more things with my money . Then why would I need your help ? " She said in a serious look . Ronn hung his head low and nodded and silently left the place before she mocks him more . She was whispering something to her friend as soon as he left and they both laughed . Das wasn't there in the canteen but he heard students discussing about that incident and laughing . "Ronn's a comedy piece .I really look forward whenever I see them both together . It's all comedy ." One of the students said and his friends laughed . Das heard it and hoped Ronn would never hear it . Das saw Ronn sitting in the corner of the class laying his head on his bag . Das sat beside him but told nothing .
"So .. how was it .. The vacation I mean .. I heard you went to Banglore . " Das asked Ronn inorder to change the topic .
"Hmm .. Ya . I went to enjoy Vacations with Tara ."
"Oh .. Very nice . How was it ?"
"Can we talk about it later Das ? I need to be alone . Please . "
" Oh .. OkAy . "

"Hey , are you alright ?" Tara asked as Ronn didn't answered her three calls .
" Oh .. Ya .. ya .. everything is alright . I just am tired .It's a boring day .. I mean .. a tiring day at school .Lots of stuffs you know .. " Ronn said hoping she won't suspect anything .
Tara knew something was bothering him but she left it up to him to say it or hide it .
"Had food ?" she asked . That's when Ronn remembered about food .
"Y ..yes. .." He said .
"Anything Special ?"
"Huh!?" "No "
"Don't lie Ronn. I know when you lie .I am your best friend .I know you didn't had food . I don't like when you lie ." Tara said .
Ronn was surprised . ' How did she find out that I didn't had food ? ' He thought .
"What's bothering you ?" Tara asked worried .
"Nothing .. just family issues. " He blurted .
Tara wasnt satisfied but she didn't spoke a word . She changed the topic and they talked for a while and she found he's not showing interest in talking like other days . "he's just too polite to ask me go " She said to herself and excused herself to go and he said a goodnight . Tara sat on her bed puzzled .
