Gerald jumped together with Meowth once he heard me saying that I'll buy him one.

"Really, older brother!? Thank you!" He said then started to hug me while his Meowth also did the same.

"Alright, let's go to the counter and pay for it." I told him while pinching his cheeks. Gerald pouted once I've done that, and smacked my hand away.

I didn't mind that though, and just walked towards the cashier's bar counter while bringing the Soothe Bell. This bell is very expensive though. What is this made of anyway? It's even expensive than staying in an inn for a day.

After a few minutes, I finished paying for the Soothe Bell and gave it to Gerald. He again started hugging me once I gave it to him.

"Here it is, Meowth. Let me put it on you." Gerald said then started tying up the Soothe Bell on Meowth.

Once it was tied on Meowth, it started to jingle it's head making a soothing sound around it. The little guy started jumping around while meowing with a smile. It even hugged me again then started purring on me.

I chuckled then caressed it's head. Gerald also saw this and started chuckling too.

"You both should go first and train. Meowth, I'm expecting you to train harder since I've given you this gift. You too, Gerald." I told to the both of them.

"Yes, older brother. Let's go and train, Meowth!" Gerald replied then started running off the poke mart. His Meowth also looked energetic while leaving us.

"Let's go to the move tutors, Golbat and Beedrill. This time I plan to let Beedrill go first." I told to both of them while they both nodded.

This time I plan to let the two of them learn 3 moves each. Those moves though have to cost only 50,000 kanto dollars each. I already researched which moves they will learn next.

For Beedrill, I want her to learn the moves Substitute, Reflect, and Brick Break. I picked Substitute since it is a great move in creating a clone at the cost of the user's health. In the game, it was able to create a green dinosaur stuff toy. That green dinosaur will then have the same stats and type of the user but will only have 1/4 of it's health. In here, it will be the same but the green dinosaur stuff toy will be replaced with an actual clone of the user. The clone can even attack using the same moves that the user has.

There is a limit to this move though, and that is the clone being able to only stay for about 2.5 minutes. Even though it's like that, it is still a great move to have.

As for Reflect, I picked this move since Beedrill has a weak body. She can't take physical hits well. With this move though, Beedrill will only take 1/2 of the physical damage she is suppose to receive. Together with her move, Iron Defense, she will have a stronger resistance to physical attacks. This move though can only last for a few minutes but it's still great overall.

Also, Reflect can be used to cover the user's allies. This means Beedrill can also give the Reflect's effect to Golbat. The downside of doing this though will make Reflect's effect of reducing physical attacks to 1/3 instead of 1/2.

Lastly, I picked Brick Break for her since it's another move that can cover some of her weakness. Also, it's a move that can destroy Reflect and Light Screen if the opponent has used one.

As for Golbat, I picked the moves Substitute, Roost, and Tailwind. I picked Substitute with the same reason for Beedrill which was to use a clone to be able to help in battles. Roost so that Golbat can recover his health in and out of the battle.

Tailwind though was a great move. This move can double the speed of Golbat and his allies for a few minutes. This is a great move since it can help increase both his and Beedrill's speed. Both of them are already really fast but with this move they'll be a greater force to be reckoned on.

I soon arrived at the Move Tutors stall while pondering about the moves that my pokemon will learn. I gave them Beedrill which is already inside her pokeball. It will take 6 days for the learning process of Beedrill and Golbat to finish.

--

6 days soon passed, Golbat and Beedrill already learned the moves that I planned for them. I just focused on training my pokemon in these past few days while also helping Gerald in his training.

Liz also returned last night, she got all the items she hid on the Pallet Forest. She even sold those goods except for the Fire Stone. I have a use for that in the future.

She sold all the items for 400,000 kanto dollars. It still a great amount of money, and I gave 100,000 kanto dollars to Liz. I kept the 300,000 Kanto dollars.

It seems that Golbat and Beedrill will start to learn new moves again after this day. This is one of the advantages in having only a few pokemon. You can focus on only them, and even rapidly make them strong. If I have like 5 pokemon or more then Beedrill and Golbat won't learn so many moves at the current moment.

I need to think about the moves that they have to learn again. Maybe I should first start catching wild pokemon for me to sell before letting the two of them start to learn new moves again.

I pondered for a few minutes, and decided to leave tomorrow to catch some wild pokemon in the Viridian Forest for a week. I still have 3 months and 1 week left before the trials. I have to hurry the training of my pokemon.

I plan to ace the trials of the clan, and I'll do my best in showing how much better I am compared to my peers. I won't show too much of my capabilities though since I still want to hide some of my pokemon's strength.
