Chapter 7: LW - 7.

{Osiris.}

Me and Virion were currently standing in the middle of the same field that he and Arthur just sparred on. I was quite nervous since it was my first time fighting with a sword and I have no types of prior knowledge.

Taking a deep breath to calm my nerves, I took a stance I saw Arthur take and I raised my gaze towards Virion.

"Huh? What's wrong?" I asked him, my brows furrowed as I asked. I'm sure I took the right stance so I don't know why he's looking so surprised.

"...Did that red haired brat teach you how to hold a sword before?" He asked, I looked at him for a moment and replied.

"No, I told you that I had no prior knowledge when it comes to wielding a weapon. I just saw him take this stance and I... Copied it." Hearing my words, Virion looked towards Arthur and locked eyes with him. I looked over too and saw that Arthur was looking at me with surprise as well.

His eye brows raised as his eyes gazed over my body. Most likely looking at my stance.

"Are you sure you haven't had any sort of experience with a sword? Cause that stance is telling us other wise." Arthur asked with a slight chuckle.

I shook my head.

"No I haven't, can y'all stop asking me that?" I questioned, a bit of annoyance laced my voice.

"Fine brat, come at me with all you got. And no complaining if you end up beat up and bruised!" Virion shouted. I nodded my head with a small smile before taking in another deep breath.

'I've never been this nervous before' I inwardly mused...

Deciding that I was ready, I dashed off towards Virion.

*CRACK!

The ground of which Osiris stood cracked under his pressure. His dash was a lot faster then Virion and the others thought. They all knew he didn't have any mana but yet... His leg strength was still able to lift up and cracked the ground he dashed off.

Virions eyes widened as Osiris appeared in front of him, it was a lot faster then the speed Arthur used as he closed the distance in less then two seconds.

Arthur and Tessia watched this happened with wide eyes, Arthur was filled with confusion as he tried to come up with a plausible reason a boy without a mana core could have this much physical strength...

But then again, Osiris was weird anyway. He could literally manipulate ice without the use of mana.

'...Just what is he?' Arthur thought to himself, his eye brows furrowed.

Tessia on the other hand was full of awe at how strong her friend is. She didn't really care whether or not her friends powers made sense. All she cared about was seeing her grandfather get beat up!

"Go Oz! Beat him up!" She cheered.

Back to Osiris.

Ignoring his elven friends cheers, he tightened his grip on his wooden sword as he prepared to swing up diagonally, just like how he copied from Arthur.

Starting from the ground up, Osiris swung. Cutting through the air at unbelievable speeds.

Virion calmly raised his wooden sword and intercepted the boys blade.

*CLANK!

'What the hell!?' Virion screamed internally as he guided Osiris's blade towards the ground.

*BOOM!

*CRACK!

Virion looked at his shaking hand with furrowed brows, not even caring about how the five year old boy in front of him just split the ground in half with a wooden sword.

'... Just what is this monster? If I hadn't augmented my hand, it might've been blown off...' Virion analyzed, finally taking his eyes off his hand. He dropped his broken wooden sword and walked up to the struggling Osiris.

When virion had guided his strike into the ground, Osiris ended up going with it... Due to his inexperience he didn't fully know how to counter attack from something like that so thats how he ended up... With his hand stuck in the ground...

"Tch, whys this so hard..." Osiris grumbled, still trying to pull his hand out the ground.

"Does this mean that Oz won? I mean he did manage to make Grandpa shake..." Tessia questioned, more so to herself then to anyone else. Arthur who was standing next to the rock she sat on, chuckled awkwardly, but decided not to answer.

Virion, however, heard his granddaughters question.

"Oi! I didn't lose! I clearly won, the brats stuck in the ground!" He argued, Tessia just rolled her eyes and jumped off the rock, making her way to her friend to try and help him out.

Virion walked towards the duo with his usual inquisitive frown.

"... Just what the hell are you? No mana, but yet you can manipulate Ice to a great degree. No mana but yet you're physically that strong... No regular person can get that strong without the use of mana." Virion questioned. By this time Osiris was already out of the ground and was sitting down.

Tessia sat down as well, she was quite interested in Osiris's abilities after all.

"I don't know... I mean I was born human... I think? I don't really remember anything from before I woke up in the forest..." He answered, seemingly trying to remember something.

"..." Virion didn't say anything, instead he just sighed and walked towards the palace. It's been a long day and he's tired...

He has one student with monstrous potential and he has another that makes absolutely no damn sense.

'I should've kick those brats out...' He thought with a frustrated sigh. He wasn't frustrated with Osiris, I mean he can't possibly blame a five year old boy for not remembering something... No matter how mature and unnatural that five year old is.

Having so many questions but yet no answers is what frustrated him...

______________________________________

{Osiris.}

Two weeks passed since my big reveal of my physical strength. I didn't bother feigning ignorance when it came to my strength since I already knew, but the trainings Virion was putting me through got ten times harder as well.

We still sparred almost every day despite the original shock from my ability to copy their fighting styles and my physical strength.

I never slacked on my manipulation training either. My ice, while not fully stable, can become as hard as a rock. Not that big of a deal considering this world is full of mana based things and beings.

But hey! It's progress.

Anyway, currently Virion is leading me somewhere. He told me not to ask questions until we get there, I didn't bother arguing since his expression was completely serious...

Looking around the surrounding area, we were in the forest that the kingdom still had, but we were really deep within it.

"We almost there? And what was so serious that Tessia and Arthur couldn't come?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"..." Virion didn't answer, he just kept his head forward and continued leading the way.

'...Okay then...' I thought sarcastically.

I guess the best choice is to just keep my mouth shut until we get there since he damn sure didn't plan on answering any of my questions.

We continued to walk for what felt like hours until we finally stopped. I was completely fine during the walk but it was boring.

Looking around, I saw that we were still within the same forest, but this time there was a giant stoned tower that was starting to fall apart. There were holes littered along its walls as well as green moss growing from the cracks. The whole thing just gave off a eerie adventure game vibe. But the more I gazed at it, the more I felt as if it was drawing me in...

"...What's this Virion? Why'd you take me here?" I asked, he glanced at me and sighed.

"That mark... Do you truly know nothing about it?"

"... Yeah, I have no idea. Why?" I replied.

"It's a stretch, but there was... A fairy tale. A completely made up story made to scare children into behaving... It was said that a very powerful Demon would come and destroy the world if the child didn't listen to their parents... I don't know the whole thing but it was along those lines." He explained.

Listening to his explanation, I felt like punching him in the throat.

Why the hell would he take me out here just to tell me a fucking fairy tale? I get he's old but he shouldn't senile.

"...What does this have to do with me? Especially this... Tower." I asked, my expression was that of a "Are you serious?" Look. Causing him to turn red with embarrassment.

"Don't look at me like that! It was just a guess but it would some what explain your strange and world breaking abilities. Anyways, the story mentioned that the demon had a black marking on it's face. Kind of like yours. And it was passed down through the different kings, that this tower here housed a demon... Or something like that, it might've been a powerful mana beast. The fairy tale has been around for a long time, so it's oughta be exaggerated a bit..." Virion informed, though he started muttering towards the end.

Most likely it was him realizing just how stupid he sounded.

I mean, come on? Me? A demon based off a fairy tale that was supposed to scare children... That's kind of offensive...

A/N!

Okay! This chapter was kind of all over the place, but yeah.

And yes, I'm going to be adding my own lore. I think you'd guys would like it... I like it so idrc, but yeah.

Anyways, if I play my cards right... This story should last a while, I don't know how long but, it should be kinda long.
