Chapter 39: Professionalism
It looked like Amelia had to spend the night all by herself here getting scared every minute
She got up to turn off the lights so she could sleep, walking towards the switches she turned off the light and turned around
Gulping down her saliva she left out a deep breath trying to calm herself but failed as the darkness in that old house was making her terrified.
She again turned around and turned on the lights and sigh in relief
"So it looks like I have slept with the lights in today"
Having no one around Amelia was once again talking to herself as she walked back towards the couch and sat down
Running her sights everywhere to confirm that there was no one but her as she was still scared even when the lights were on
lying down took a cushion from the ground and hug it tightly and tried her best to fall asleep. Amelia was all good but the house looked like a mess. the mess Amelia just created in her rage

The night went quickly and here Alexander was waiting for Lucas to send him the location of where they were staying
Sitting in his car already he just stared at the screen of his phone after sending a text saying 'send me the location' even after waiting for some time he didn't get any reply
The situation wasn't helping him so he just dialed his number and waited again for him to pick up his call. after some rings, Lucas did pick up his call and spoke in a sleepy voice
"Hello?"
"Are you still sleeping?!"
Hearing Lucas's sleepy voice Alexander spoke firmly as he was so disappointed by Lucas right now
Lucas slept in a cafe near his house and
was still sleeping when Alexander called him, without looking at who was calling him he just answered just to get a reply from Alexander
His eyes shot open as he sat down and his all sleep went away just like that
"I'm sorry I slept late last night that's why!"
Lucas replied making Alexander sigh and the sigh sounded as if Alexander was so annoyed right now, Lucas explain why he was sleeping still while Alexander again replied him back seriously
"Send me the location right now!"
"I'm sending!"
Lucas hang up the call after telling Alexander that he was sending the address right now
He sent the location to Alexander before getting up as he brushed the dust off of his clothes before walking back to his house where he left Amelia alone last night
Whereas as soon as Alexander got to the location he also moved his car and drove it towards the location

"Boss, the investigator is saying he wants to meet you"
"Send him inside!"
Oliver was doing breakfast, sitting on the dining table when a guard came and bowed a little before speaking as he tell Oliver that there was an investigator was outside who wanted to meet Oliver
However, Oliver thought for a second and just one thought came to his mind that maybe the investigator had some important news that he couldn't wait for and came here to tell at this time
Nodding his head Oliver spoke telling the guard to send him inside, the guard bowed again and went outside while Oliver continued with his dinner
"Hello, Mister Oliver! I hope you're having a good time"
"Hmm, so what happened Mister Finn? what made you come here this early?"
The man Oliver called Mister Finn was the investigator who had to deal with Amelia's case but he was out of town all this time and the people handling till now was his workers
Getting inside he stood straight without bowing even a little as everyone out of his family who comes to meet Oliver bows in front of him but this young man didn't
He stood there with a poker face and spoke professionally being polite towards the oldest here while Oliver had a smile on his face after seeing his man, it has been a long time that didn't meet him
Oliver knew Finn for a long before as his father was also an officer and was a good friend of Oliver but after his father's death Finn was cut off from everyone, but choosing the same profession as his father he was now standing here as an investigator
Finn showed a little nod of his head as Oliver indicated him to sit on one of the chairs and have breakfast with him, walking towards the dining table Finn seated and comfortable himself before speaking
"I'm sorry I can't accompany you with the breakfast but I have a piece of news for you to hear! but if you're busy then I can wait---"
Oliver was about to tell a maid to serve Finn some food also when Finn denied it, he was on his duty, and having lunch without any occasion with the client wasn't something professional for him
Finn told him that he had some important news and that's why he came here at this time However he was all good with waiting if Oliver wanted to hear the news after he gets finished with his breakfast but Oliver cut off his words and spoke
"Just continue! tell me what you got"
Finn nodded his head before taking out some papers as he puts them on the table in front of him and started explaining
"So let me ask you something, Do you perhaps know anyone named Lucas?"
"Lucas?"
And here the first thing Finn asked made Oliver so confused as he never heard of this name and didn't know anyone with this particular name
Tilting his head to the side the old man repeated the name after Finn before he shook his head denying that he didn't know anyone with this name
"Miss Amelia right!... from my sources I got to know today she was living in a boat all this time with a guy named Lucas and I'm 100% sure with this information!"...
