Chapter 2: Awaken!
MC POV:
*Crack*
The sound of stone scraping stone awakens me. All the memories of my past life and dying all rush to me and I remember where I am. Then all the knowledge of what this body can do floods my mind before a stream of light hits my eyes.
Recovering from the rush of knowledge and the blinding light I open my eyes to see a man I recognize as Jasper heaving the lid of my coffin to the side. Everyone stops and just stares at me as I inspect Jasper, then Alice the cute pixie girl, then my eyes land on Rosalie. Time stops around us. Using my teleport ability I'm out of my coffin and standing in front of the beautiful blonde bombshell.
"Y- you are breathtaking." I say to the stunned girl in front of me. Acknowledging the cliche gravity thing that all the fanfics and novels and the original work says. She is what tethers me to this world now. Must be my werewolf side imprint.
"Thanks.." She says almost absentmindedly not taking her eyes away from mine. "Your eyes... So golden and beautiful..." She says reaching up to move my long platinum white/blonde hair out of my face so she could see me better. "Hi, my name is Rosalie Hale Cullen. I am one of your mates. We will be having a talk about that later." She says as she fixes me with a false stern gaze.
"Mates?" I say acting like I don't know what she's talking about.
"Well Alice over there has visions of the future. She says I wont be your only mate. While I'm not too thrilled about that I am extremely happy to finally have found you.." She says waiting for me to introduce myself.
"Ah- *ahem* excuse me how impolite of me. My name is Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes. I went by the name Alucard for a spell while dealing with my enemies. I am the world's first and currently the world's only hybrid vampire-werewolf. And I am at your service Rosalie Hale Cullen." I tell her with a bow while taking her hand and pressing a kiss to the back. 'So fucking gentlemanly! haha!!' I muse before straightening back up to gaze at her smiling face.
"You had better adopt your southern gentleman ways again Jasper. I think I want that again.." Alice whispers to her mate after watching Adrian's display.
"Oh.. sorry I should introduce the two members of my family here." Rosalie says before pointing to them. " She is my adoptive sister Alice Cullen and her mate my adoptive brother Jasper Hale Cullen, also we act as twins to the human world for our cover."
"Nice to meet you! We're gonna be the best of friends!" Alice says excitedly before rushing over and hugging me. I stand at roughly 6 foot 3 inches tall so her small pixie body against me she barely reaches my chest.
"A pleasure to meet you Mr. Tepes" Jasper says before coming over with an outstretched hand.
"Just Adrian is fine Jasper. After all, the beautiful pixie said we will be the best of friends so I assume that means you and I too. Plus you're my mates 'twin' so we're going to be family, haha" I say with a chuckle grabbing his hand for a firm shake.
Turning back to Rosalie. "Now my dear, I'd like to collect my things and be rid of this dreadful place." I tell her as I take her hand in mine again. I can already tell that she and I will be inseparable. Leading her over to a bare wall, I push a series of stones, then a hidden door opens up to a staircase heading down.
"What's down there Adrian?" Rosalie asks me with some concern in her voice.
"You'll see my love." I tell her before using my magic creating a small flame that hovers over my free hand.
"What is that!!" They all exclaim at the same time.
"Magic? I've been alive for thousands of years. By my estimate I've been asleep for around 4 hundred years so and even then magic was detested by the church so maybe magic isn't common at all anymore?" I ask looking at the group
"Some vampires have abilities, our cousin in Alaska can control electricity but we saw you teleport earlier so we thought that was your ability." Alice says looking at the flame in amazement.
"Ha, no dear Alice, that was magic as well. I do have an innate talent that none other have though. I can create or erase the mate bond as I see fit. Everything else I can do is done by ancient magic taught to me by my late father, the great Vlad Dracula Tepes." I tell them as I turn to head down the staircase to find all my riches.
"You can create and erase mate bond?! So if you wanted you could have Rosalie as your only mate?" Jasper asks.
"No, not exactly. I can erase yours to Alice, I could add more to yours. As I have never had a mate bond before I inspected my own with Rosalie and it is something I could detach at the cost of my own life.. So I theorize that I cannot, or rather, I shouldn't tamper with the bonds that attach to me by fate. Does that answer your question?" I ask coming to a worn wooden door.
"Yes it does. And I'll have to pass on adding anything to our relationship. Alice is the only one I want and she's never said anything about having more so I'll stick to what we have." Jasper says looking lovingly at Alice.
"I would never tamper with it without permission my friend, besides polygamy is not for everyone. I never thought I'd have more than 1. And believe me I would be more than happy to just love dear Rosalie for the rest of time." I say as I press a kiss to Rosalie's cheek. I can tell if she could blush she'd be tomato red right now.
An interesting development has occurred slowly since I opened my eyes in this new world. The real Alucard's memories have slowly bled into my own. I remember being held as a baby by my mother and I remember my father's lessons on magic. I remember my mother being burned at the stake and my father losing his mind to madness and grief. Through my shirt I can feel the scar that remains from the fight we had when I tried to stop him when he planned to release the demon horde on mankind. 'I may be in control of us now but I wont forget our roots. We are one now Alucard.' I muse before placing my hand on the door in front of us.
"Now, prepare yourselves. Before my decision to go into slumber I created a spell. Any and all works of art, jewels, gold, or any other riches that came to risk being destroyed or lost to humanity were to be teleported into this room. My way of saving the best parts of this world." I say as I push the door open and feast my eyes on the magnificence that is my fortune. There are rows and rows of countless paintings. There are chests of gold and jewels that probably priceless now. In the middle of the room is a pedestal with a long silver sword sitting on top of it. Alucard's sword.
"This is amazing! Look at all these paintings Adrian! What are you going to do with all this?" Alice asks rushing over to the paintings.
"You may take anything you wish to keep. The rest we will sell. I imagine these will fetch a decent price in with how old some of these appear to be." I tell her with a smile as I make my way to the sword. Looking closely though there appears to be something off. around the hilt there are 3 silver rings with a blood red diamond set into them. I place 2 of them into my pocket before grabbing the sword and 1 ring and going to Rosalie. "*Ahem* Rosalie Hale Cullen. I know we literally just met less than an hour ago, but this bond we have is stronger than many I have seen in my long life. Will you take this ring as an offering and a proposal to be my wife and mate for the rest of our lives?" I ask as I present the ring to her.
She is completely shocked just staring at the ring then to me then the ring then back to me. Finally she looks up into my eyes before she relaxes and I can see the utter joy in her eyes. "Time means nothing to us Adrian Tepes. You could have asked 30 minutes ago and my answer would be the same. I would love to be yours for the rest of our lives. I have always dreamed of having a family of my own since I was a little girl... I know the more wives thing will be an adjustment for me but.. I will love them too. I guess it will help with coming to term with not being able to have children." She says still extremely happy but also sad knowing she cant have these kids she's dreamed of.
"Not being able to have children? Why is that? Did you have something wrong before you were turned?" I ask hiding my smirk as she just looks at me in confusion.
"I'm- I'm a vampire. I cant have children Adrian" She says her joy from earlier declining a bit while she toys with the ring that I placed on her finger.
"So did you not want to become a hybrid like me and have children?" I ask in mock confusion.
