Chapter 19: Worry
"I really fell asleep…" I said to myself as soon as I woke up.
Although I didn't spread my spiritual sense outside of my body up until now, I didn't even need to as I could easily recognize the roof above me.
My room.
I remember saying that I was too old to sleep with my parents so they got me my own room a little before turning 5 years old. But I was kidnaped so I didn't really have time to put many things in it.
There is a clothes cabinet that looks like a treasure chest, one big closet with nothing in it, a few posters of All Might and other heroes, my weights, and my phone along with the laptop on a little desk.
'Aizawa was nice enough to give them back, huh.'
I got off from my Alaska King size bed.
'Wow… I feel lighter than a feather, I feel that I could fly even… though I can't… yet.'
Anyways, -why such a big bed for a kid?- You may ask.
Well… I did fall off of bed once and back then I used to play on my bed with my toys so I made a lot of noise. Which woke my parents up in the middle of the night, that's why they gave me a bigger bed…
Despite having such a big bed in the middle of the room there is still a lot of space.
'Thinking about it, they might have spoiled me too much…'
I went outside of my room as I spread my Spirit Sense around the house.
I noticed a few things that I'm pretty sure that they were not normal.
'Is that supposed to be a guard?' I sensed someone outside, he was just there looking around the house and checking his phone.
Anyhow, my house is kind of western style, although it seems that we still gotta take our shoes off to enter like all proper Japanese citizens but that's aside from the main point.
I could sense that we have a basement now, and below it, there is a secret basement since I couldn't sense a proper entrance to it.
I could tell that there was a mechanism to open a few passages to it.
There were weapons, computers, and many things. The secret basement was kind of a facility.
AND there is another level below it but my range doesn't reach that far yet.
'What's going on??'
*sigh*
Oh well, I went downstairs to the first floor and saw dad who was on his phone while mom was making breakfast.
'Although I wasn't aware of my surroundings while sleeping, I was aware of the time and I know that I slept for almost 48 hours.'
I got to the middle of the living room and took a deep breath, "I'M BACK!!!" my scream shook the whole house, '... shit, I didn't know that my voice could be this loud…'
"HHIAAA@*%$!!!" Dad almost fell off the sofa.
*CLANK*
Some metal sounds came from the kitchen, mom came to the living room to see what was going on...
I just smiled apologetically.

'This kid…his scream was like a damn thunder.' I looked at my son who was happily waiting for breakfast on the dining table.
*Sigh~*
The weights that came in the mail, the reports from the detective, his training under a mysterious person… Honestly, it's hard to believe.
He also did Vigilante activity which is already quite worrying.
[Flashback To A Day Before]
"I didn't think that the detective would be coming here." Said Ishimoto while she turned off the T.V in the living room.
"I know, I thought that we would have to come to them, to be honest. This might be because Shiro hasn't woken up yet, we can't leave him alone." I answered while looking at the time, the detective was supposed to com-
*Ring~*
And just in time, the doorbell rang. "I will go." She spoke, going to the front yard to open the front gate.
"Morning! I'm Detective Tanuma. As you may know, I came here to inform you about your kids' case." The detective said as he took off his hat while getting inside the house.
Once we got inside the living room, we got to the couch. I alongside Ishimoto sat on the opposite side of Mr. Tanuma.
The detective took some documents about Shiro's identity and a test for his quirk.
We both frowned the moment we saw that the date of the quirk test was taken, I look at the detective for an answer who seemed to be ready for our reaction beforehand as he said with a helpless tone, "I know what you are thinking," he took some more documents and pictures which he passed them to us, "It was needed because of this."
I looked at the pictures, it was a back alley but the thing was that it had many holes and slashes around the walls, it was obvious that a battle happened there.
There was also a picture of a trash dumpster that was quite wasted, but there was something that caught my attention, it was a footprint that it had on its side, as if kicked with great force… but what bothered me was that the footprint was really small, almost as if…
I decided to look at the documents while Ishimoto also kept seeing the pictures with a curious look on her face.
'Shiro… did that?' I honestly couldn't believe it, the test obviously stated that he was quirkless…
He beat two villains without trouble, one was taken down without being able to put up a fight while the other one was still defeated despite taking some kind of quirk enhancement drug...
The detective saw my disbelief, "I know what you might think, but what you are seeing is true.
Now, this isn't in any records but he has taken an X-ray test, we discovered that he actually has special body composition, he could pretty much beat a lot of low-level strengthening quirk users in terms of power." He spoke as he gave us some papers.
The pictures were of a forest that looked like it went through a war, most trees torn to pieces or ripped out from the ground, everything was destroyed or had huge holes in them, the ground, boulders, even a mountain which had crumbled and was nothing but a big pile of rocks.
Reading the document was… concerning, from what they got from Shiro, he apparently survived in the wilderness for 3 years which he spent training, although it's unknown who trained him, the only thing they found was that there was a book that helped him to survive.
One thing that bothered me was that they found Shiro's dried blood all over the place… it was too much blood for his little body which meant that he was bleeding pretty much every day…
'What kind of training is that?!'
"I know that it seems too unreal, but from the X-rays we got, one thing is for certain, the training was pretty much about breaking his body every day to the point that it may be considered torture." The detective had a solemn expression
He gave us some time to process such information…
Then, he handed the rest of the documents he had and it was even worse than before.
Three dangerous villains, these ones were in a different league from the ones of the back alley incident.
They had actual murder charges and there was even a mafia boss in the mix of the 3 villains.
Streets with holes and blood splattered all over the concrete, 5 abandoned buildings damaged with one having entirely collapsed…
The fight was quite bloody, Shiro ended up injured but not to the point of near-death, even then, there was no spot on his body that wasn't damaged...
It felt gut-wrenching thinking about my 10-year-old son going through such things.
I could see the worry on Ishimoto's face, obviously afraid that if Shiro goes through the career of becoming a hero he might end up like her mother...
I took a deep breath to calm myself and keep reading the words in front of me.
All villains were quite injured, the one with knives for hands had broken jaw and ribs, the one who had a strengthening quirk had his arm shattered along with almost all of his right side.
And the boss… he was in critical condition but stabilized yesterday which let the detective ask him a few questions. There was something that surprised me.
-HE IS A MONSTER!!! HIS EYES ARE NOT NORMAL!
Was the answer that caught my attention. It seems that the boss got scared of Shiro since it was him who got him all beat up.
*SIGH~*
I massaged the bridge of my nose, there was one thing that worried me about these 2 cases, 'supposedly, Shiro got into these incidents willingly… He still wants to be a hero, doesn't he?"
"Now, it's up to you," the detective brought me back from my thoughts, "He will still be seen as quirkless through his documents, but at one point it will be known that he is special."
Mr. Tanume got up ready to leave as he saw that Ishimoto's mind wasn't in a good state after knowing all this information, she was covering her face with her hands as if she was trying to deny the situation…
"Mr. and Mrs. Takeshi, have a good day." He said as he left. At this point, I wasn't interested in the case of El Hoyo so I didn't bother to stop him and ask.
The both of us just stayed silent for a few moments.
"Honey, we promised that we would be there to support him, didn't we?" I tried to console her.
[Flashback End]
*clank*
The sound of a spoon falling to the ground made me come back to reality. I turned my head to the kitchen and saw-
*thud*
Shiro falling off from his seat?
"SHIRO!!!" I got up and ran to him.
Ishimoto was the first one to get to him as she was in the kitchen, once she got a close look at him she laughed out of nowhere.
"HAHAHaha…. Lo-l- look at his facPFFT-" She said as she covered her mouth trying to not laugh.
I got closer to Shiro with a lot of confusion, I saw his face and… he had a stupid smile plastered all over his face, almost as if he was dreaming of being in heaven…
'HUH?!?!?'
'The spoon!' he dropped the spoon before falling, that means…
I turned over and saw a soup half-eaten, "He just fainted because the food was good?!?!" I just heard Ishimoto burst out laughing again.
I just flopped on a seat holding my chest, "he just came back and he is already giving me heart attacks."
