Chapter 46: Vacation (1)

Tian Zi sat on his seat, looking aimlessly outside the window. He had a hard expression on his face that obviously said there was something wrong, especially when the Omega sitting across from his seat also has the same hard expression. None of them were talking to each other and the atmosphere around them just didn't feel approachable.
"Did something happen?" Jonathan asked. He and Remi had just arrived. He was thinking the two would have talked to each other already, especially considering Fyre's situation, but they looked like they would kill each other instead if either one would dare try.
Not receiving a reply, Remi and Jonathan looked at each other before nodding and respectably sat next to the two; Remi with Fyre and Jonathan with Tian Zi.
Tian Zi remained silent despite his friend beginning to interrogate him. Honestly, he didn't even know why he was acting this way. After what had happened last night, he and Fyre had begun ignoring each other. Earlier this morning, he'd briefly told the Omega that he was going to bring him to Hawaii and, unlike usual, Fyre just nodded without complaint. Although it's good that he didn't complain, he never thought he'd feel uncomfortable being treated this way and now he didn't feel like talking to him as well. All of a sudden he felt annoyed and upset because it was not like he meant any ill will last night. He was genuinely concerned and he was beyond surprise.
Anyone who'd witnessed Fyre drowning like that would have also reacted like him. There was nothing wrong with his reaction, although he admitted that he overstepped himself. He should've considered the Omega's condition. Fyre must have not been able to sleep properly for the whole three days. He was harassed by the media and there were rumors about him online. The Omega must've fallen asleep without knowing due to stress and fatigue, but he'd burst out like that, out of nowhere, and assumed Fyre was trying to kill himself. He should've handled the situation properly.
"Hey Zi, what really happened between you two? You two are always in a fight these days," Jonathan mentioned, trying to squeeze out information from Tian Zi. However, when he looked at the Alpha's face turning red almost as if he was remembering something embarrassing, Jonathan tilted his head in question. His curiosity intensified, especially when he glanced at Fyre who was being questioned by Remi as well and the Omega too turned red. Something was definitely up!
"Fyre, are you sick? You're suddenly turning red," Remi said in worry, to which Fyre quickly responded with a head shake.
"N-No... I'm not sick or anything... I'm just feeling a little hot..." Fyre stuttered his lies but in truth, he'd just remembered what Tian Zi had told him last night and the fact that the Alpha had seen him naked. Everything happened too fast last night and Tian Zi had seen him naked. Even though it didn't seem like it had affected the Alpha, he still saw him naked.
"It's because you're always wearing those oversized hoodies. Do you have any other clothes besides those?" Remi said and urged him to strip off his hoodie.
"I-I don't. I just love these." Fyre said and held down his hoodie, not wanting to take it off even though he also had a t-shirt underneath.
"Take it off, Fyre. You're feeling hot to the point of turning red. What if something happens to you? Our flight will take more than 5 hours!" Remi scolded, insisting the Omega should take off his hoodie. From across their seats, Tian Zi and Jonathan glanced at the commotion, and just on cue, Fyre was already stripping his hoodie with the help of Remi. However due to his struggles, the t-shirt underneath was lifted along with it, giving the two Alphas a view of the Omega's slim waist and chest. Immediately, Tian Zi remembered last night, and once again his face turned red.
Even though last night happened so quickly, he could still remember the feeling of the pale and smooth skin on his arms. The image of his small inverted nipples, his smooth hairless groin. Tian Zi could never erase the soft pink color he had witnessed with his own eyes--he could never, even if he tried. Fyre is his friend, but he is still an Alpha in his youth. So no matter how hard he tried, he would not be able to control himself and would think of something indecent. If Fyre knew what was in his mind, the demon-like Omega would probably kill him.
"There. It's less hot when you take this off." Remi said in satisfaction, folding Fyre's hoodie as the Omega pouted. At the same time, Tian Zi's mind instantly went back to reality and he abruptly shifted his attention to the view outside the window while his blush continued to turn darker and darker. On the other hand, Jonathan became silent before he suddenly stood up.
"I'll go and tell the steward to lower the AC a bit..." He said and proceeded to walk away. When he came back, his expression was hard and he decided not to talk anymore.
The whole flight to Hawaii was filled with overthinking from the four passengers. Tian Zi and Fyre thinking about what happened last night. Remi is also thinking about the words told to her by Marjorie Woods and how she's been keeping the meeting from her lover, and Jonathan also thinking about his complicated situation. They never thought that after this vacation, dreadful events would start to happen. And regrets will start to hunt them.

"Oh Sweetheart, you're finally here! I'm so sorry about what had happened. We already have someone to fix it, rest assured that nothing like this will happen again when you come back. For now, you should just enjoy your time here with your sister." Laura greeted enthusiastically as soon as Fyre arrived with the other three. She hugged Fyre and even kissed his cheeks before pinching them lightly. Fyre might be older than Daniel and Tian Zi but he was smaller in height, often making it easy to think that he's just 19 when in fact he was 25. Not to mention, Fyre is a very adorable child who liked to hide his beauty by wearing oversized clothes and overgrowing his bangs, so Laura simply couldn't resist.
"Thank you so much for the warm welcome, Auntie." Fyre greeted awkwardly, scratching his nape. He liked Laura because she reminded him of his mother, but that does not mean he feels comfortable around her because she is still Laura Mo--the Laura Mo. She commands the whole household and not even Mo Laotian would be able to fully defy her. Not only that, although she's a dominant Alpha with a smiling face, Fyre could bet all his fortune that this middle-aged woman could make anyone's life feel like a living hell once she decided she didn't like the person. He could feel that Mo Hanlu had a similar aura, and that was even more dangerous than Mo Laotian or Mo Chendong. At least with the latter, you can put up your guard ahead of time, while with Mo Hanlu and Laura Mo, you'd never know when they'd suddenly stab you in the back.
Fyre was not saying that they were both bad people, but they were indeed dangerous. Ian Andrews was the perfect pair for that sun-like person.
"No problem, Sweetheart, as long as it's you. You and your sister are always welcome at our home." Laura said again while quickly ushering them all to the garden that was overlooking the view of the turquoise blue sea and fine white sand. This was the first time Fyre had gone outside the country, so the view took him in awe as he halted from walking. Of course, there were also good beaches and resorts back home, but he'd never had the chance to go because he didn't like crowded places.
"Wow! This is the first time I've been in this kind of place," Remi whispered softly to which Fyre didn't fail to hear, so he nodded and agreed. The both of them kept their eyes on the beach and only removed them when Laura called again.
"They're all here having a chat," She said and led them further over to where the fireplace was. And indeed, everyone was there, even the previous owner and chairman of the Sullen Corporation, Gabriel Sullen.
"Oh my, it's Fyre!" Daniel Sullen Mo immediately chirped co excitedly that his husband had to support him when he stood up holding a baby while breastfeeding it. The young mother was hesitant to move due to his baby, but the excitement and worry were visible in his expression. So as soon as Fyre had finished greeting the Elders along with Remi and Jonathan, Fyre went ahead and approached the younger Omega.
"Fyre, I'm so sorry about what happened. I'm so glad you're safe. I don't really know why people would make up such dirty rumors about you when you're so nice. Don't worry, Hanlu's trying to fix it already so you won't be inconvenienced by this anymore," Daniel immediately said and Fyre could genuinely feel the concern from his tone and his expression.
"Thank you, but it's okay. I wasn't hurt or anything. If I leave them be, they'll surely quit bothering me at some point." Fyre replied with a forced smile. Of course, Daniel Mo would think the rumors about him online were lies but he didn't have to confirm it--there's no reason for the younger Omega to know his past.
"What are you saying? Of course, it's not okay! You should at least get angry at Hanlu for this. That's why I told him he won't be able to hold his nephews until he fixes the situation." Daniel said proudly, swaying the feeding baby on his arm. When the little human whined and pulled away from his swollen breast, Daniel briefly excused for a bit and handed the baby to Mo Laotian, exchanging the other baby and feeding him as well. Fyre seeing all this, he forced out a laugh assuming that there's no way such a threat would work. Although he admits the twins looked adorable, there was no way the Omega could use it as a threat against Mo Hanlu.
"Anyway, just enjoy your time here...Don't think about anything else. You too, Ms. Long. I hope you enjoy your stay here." Daniel added with his brightest smile.
