Chapter 1: ORIGIN OF FAITH
Janet Williams was a 14 year old girl who had a very tough life to live. She faced so many trials and tribulation of all sorts. Not to mention her parents; MR Joe Williams & MRS Lucy Williams. They were always in one trouble or the other. Either it's Bank robbery or drunkenness or in a big fight over the smallest things. Despite all this, Janet kept one thing dearest to her . It was GOD and the fact that he was always there with her.
"Hey honey. where are you going to? Don't you want to stay here and watch Pitch perfect with me. I hear this pitch is perfect. Get it?!"Mom said drunkenly. "No mom. I have to go for Sunday school ."Janet said trying to squeeze her way through her mom. "Sunday school? You're still going for that thing?! Don't you get it J, GOD isn't real. It's just another superstition." Mom said still drunk. "No he isn't !!. God is real, In fact he is right here listening to this conversation". Janet said angrily "Oh really? he's here? how come I can't see him. " Mom said sarcastically. "Cause he's invisible! okay! No one sees him, but if you believe in him; you can feel his presence moving all over you. If you believe you can hear his voice calling "Janet said as she looked at her mom with disgust. "You know what I can't deal with this anymore". Janet said as she walked out the door. "So um I'll see you at 12?!" screamed Mom. "Sometimes I just wish I could leave this world cause I'm really sick and tired of all this drama. How can somehow be this heartless. "Janet said to herself
Finally, Janet reached the church. It was ST PETER AND PAUL CATHEDRAL. Happiness filled her soul as she walked in . She saw kids smiling happily as they were singing songs of Joy in the House of GOD. She then spotted her teacher ;MR ANDREW. MR Andrew was a kind hearted man , Full of Happiness, Joy and always ready to forgive. Sometimes people say he is the perfect resemblance of GOD. In fact no one refers to him as sir or MR Andrew even those in high places. To some people he was Father, Brother or Friend and to some other people he was DAD.
"Hey Dad." Janet said smiling. "Hello Janet. How are you doing today?" said Father smiling. "Fine thank you Dad". Janet replied . "Good to hear that. Now everyone settle down and open your bible to psalm 91 verse1-2. Now who will be taking that for us, ummmm, Janet please read that for us. "yes Dad. Psalm 91 verse 1-2 and it says "He who dwells in the secret place of the most high and abides in the shadow of the almighty . I will say to the lord , MY REFUGE AND MY FORTRESS, MY GOD IN WHOM I TRUST". "Thank you Janet. You may sit down. Now this prayer is often referred to as a PRAYER OF PROTECTION or PROTECTION DECREE. Now some of you might wonder what does SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH mean. Well, Jesus came into the world to bring us into his holy place . His atonement was ONCE AND FOR ALL. He died, was buried and rose on the third day. He broke the veil of disconnection and unlocked to the whole world THE PRESENCE OF GOD , THE SECRET PLACE . HEAVEN . It's a place where every soul longs to be in. A place where happiness never ends, A place where sorrow is never felt, A place where everything is entirely made of heavenly gold. My children you all should hope for this place. And ways you can enter the KINGDOM OF GOD is by being kind to one another, being charitable, obeying your parents". "But what if what our parents are doing is wrong in the eyes of GOD?" .Jane interrupted. "What do you mean Janet" Asked Father. "Like what if they engage in bad things like Stealing money, smoking?" .Janet asked. "Well if you truly know what they are doing is wrong then you do what is right in the eyes of GOD. For instance, they steal money and by coincidence you see the money and maybe you know the owner you can secretly return it back , for the bible says so that your good deeds be in secret ; your heavenly father who sees in secret will reward you." Replied Father. "Ok children We have to the end of our Sunday school for today. Come let us pray. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy spirit. Amen. Heavenly father, we thank you for a successful teaching, we pray that all we have learnt today will be put into practice. We commit the rest of our daily activities into your holy hands o Lord and at the end of it all may your will be done in our lives , through Christ our Lord. Amen. Now children your assignment will be to learn the prayer of JABEZ. It is a very powerful prayer. Okay now you are free to go." said Father. "BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!" .everyone replied as they went to their various homes.
