15th CHAPTER!!!
"W-what?" Charlotte had a complicated look on her face. It was a normal reaction to something like this. "Can you really do something like that?" Hearing this Liz was a little sad. She did not want to take a life away from someone like Charlotte.
Liz responded by nodding, which left Charlotte with even more questions. "But how can you even do something like that? Even the people from the strongest family can't do something like that. Perhaps you are gifted from birth?"
Not wanting to hear more of the annoying questions Liz stopped Charlotte and explained her side of the story. Charlotte claimed that everyone in this world had a system but Liz's system was different. And when she heard that Liz was blessed by the goddess of the "Life and Death" her jaw dropped. She could not believe something like this.
"Why? Is getting blessed something unnatural as well?" Liz asked after seeing Charlotte's reaction. "What?! *Sigh* I guess you don't know anything about this world yet. Sorry I raised my vice against you."
"Let me explain." And with that Charlotte's history lesson started. She said that people could get blessed by the gods of the lands they were born in. Since Liz was born in the "Light" kingdom she had to be blessed by the god of "Light". She also brought up a theory which was that Liz got blessed by that goddess because she is reincarnated.
Which was true, and Anais knew that. After that Charlotte went deeper into the topic. And started talking about the goddess that blessed Liz.
"Goddess of "Life and Death" is the goddess that created every life in the galaxy. After other gods created a platform she created different types of living creatures. At first she created bacteria and everything, slowly progressing. She then started allowing them to think a lot better. Which caused a disaster. Different types of what we call now days "Races" were created in the progress.
"The Elf race, the Demon race, the Demi-human race, the Divine race, Dwarfs and finally the human race. The most disgusting race of all.
"Humans were greedy from the second that they were created. Their ways f thinking was just to come at the top. In the beginning they just killed animals, developed skills, learned how to talk, and even then they were thinking about power.
"Meanwhile on the other side of the world. Other races were created. After 2000 years all races had developed more than the gods thought they would, in the progress even new gods were created just because of these creatures.
"Elves focused mainly on learning about the truth in the life that they were living in. Which ended up with them being the first race to find out about mana, and the system. System was provided to every human by the goddess but only the ones with enough will power was able to unlock their own systems.
"Elves shared this knowledge with their neighbor races. Dwarfs had a close relation ship with the elves they always backed each other up and when they learned about the magic that existed in this world they were shocked. Some even managed to learn how to smith better weapons with the help of the system. Which made them indebted to the elves for all their lives. Dwarfs would never turn their backs on the elves. That was the rule that is still active till this day.
"Even though elves were the smartest race of them all they were lacking experience, there were no wars or anything in the past so no one knew what this kind of power would create in the end.
"Elves did not know about the wars* lets say it that way, because on the side of the world. Demon and the human race was having a war ever since the 2nd generation.
"Demons knew about magic and not the system. Only reason they knew that magic existed was because of their bodies, they could absorb energy from the air. And one genius came up and learned how to turn that energy into magic.
"And of course, humans were jealous. They wanted to be able to do that as well. So they demanded the demon race to teach them about it, but the demon race refused.
"Humans did not give up easily. They kidnapped a few demons that knew how to use magic, and tortured them day and night till they got answers. In the end they thought the humans how to use the magic. But their magic was weaker than the demon race's and they could not shape it into elements. So instead they learned how to fuse it into their weapons and make them stronger.
"And of course, while they were busy learning about the magic the demon race found out about what they have done. And with that the first ever war had started.
"The war is paused at the moment, but both races can launch a attack and resume it any second.
"Because of all the things that happened the goddess of "Life and Death" was given a second name. The goddess of "Cruses and Blessings" She gave life to everyone but at the same time she made creatures that would fight for their lives. The view that the gods saw from the heavens was unpleasant. They saw a caring family on the side, and the next second they would be dead by deadly monsters.
"The gods started to develop hatred towards the goddess. They could not undo what the goddess did but they could fix the lives that were down there. They sealed the goddess of "Life and Death" Inside darkness of lord.
"And they started blessing the creatures down on the galaxy. They kept a close eye on the planet named Earth because only in there, existed the race named the human race.
"This is the story of the universe. And if we look at you, we can tell that the goddess is freed and is looking for someone to get her revenge. I am guessing you will face a lot of troubles when you grow stronger. If you can get a new body every 20 years, that makes you immortal by the age."
And with that Charlotte glanced at Anais, Liz understood the meaning behind her words and looked towards Anais as well.
Anais knew that they were waiting for an explanation. "Unfortunately. I can't explain anything to you at the moment. For now your only misison is to get out of this place before you die, after that I will get other orders from the goddess of "Life and Death" and I will inform you about them."
Liz let out a long sigh and opened her mouth saying. "Understood." And after that she looked at Charlotte deep in the eyes.
