Chapter 3: Combat Training
"Each of you take a ball from these boxes!" All Might told them with enthusiasm, "They will determine your teammate and whether you will be the hero or villain team!"
"Hey Akuma who made your costume?" Kirirshima asked as he saw the clear differences in Akuma's custome to the rest of theirs, "It looks sick!"
"None of your business." Akuma said coldly as he grabbed a ball and the others couldn't tell if he was being cold or just wanted to be left alone, "Team F huh?"
"You'll be on the Villain team with Sero!" All Might yelled as Akuma walked towards Sero and stood next to him in silence.
"Do you want to play defensively or take the fight to the Hero team?" Sero asked him a pumped up smile and Akuma looked at the test building.
"Defensively would be the smart route." Akuma said before closing his eyes and waiting for their turn. He opened his eyes as Izuku and Bakugou began to fight and his face turned serious.
"If you don't stop them then this is going to end badly." Akuma told All Might as he walked up to the screens and the others watched the fight intently, "Nobody is going to die but Midoriya is going to be severely hurt."
"I believe we should give them a chance to prove themselves." All Might told him with false confidence. He knew Akuma was right but he couldn't bring himself to stop them.
"Whatever you say." Akuma said as he leaned against the wall and watched the two fight. Izuku ended up injured just like Akuma said he would and the rest of Class 1-A looked at him with surprise. After watching a few more fights it was Akuma and Sero's turn to set up to false bomb in a safe place.
"Sero stretch your tape across the top of those pillars." Akuma told him as he pointed to the pillars next to the door, "Make sure to not make them too tight."
"Sounds good." Sero said as he did what Akuma said and he saw what Akuma was planning, "Why is it so cold in here?"
"Todoroki is going to freeze the building so we can't stop him from reaching the bomb. Sero hang from the ceiling with your tape or the ice will trap you to the floor." Akuma told him when he saw his breath and moments later the building was filled with ice.
"I'm surprised you realized my plan so quickly." Todoroki said when he saw Akuma flying a few feet off of the ground and Sero hanging from the ceiling as he stopped in the doorway. Akuma waited for him to walk into the roof before he hit the two pillars with energy blasts and the debris brought the tape down on Todoroki. He shielded himself with ice to avoid the tape and he realized that Akuma had gotten behind him. Todoroki trapped Akuma in a block of ice and began to walk towards the bomb before he felt the floor begin to shake. The other students excitedly watched Akuma burst out of the ice and appear behind Todoroki in less than a second.
"What?!" Todoroki asked when he was suddenly on the ground with his hands bound by the capture tape. Tear gas suddenly filled the room as Momo threw in two grenades she made with her quirk and she sprinted for the bomb. She got wrapped in tape as Akuma's energy exploded off of him and blew the gas out of the room.
"Sorry about this." Sero said as he ties her hands with the capture tape and All Might announced them as the winners. They untied Todoroki and Momo and Todoroki gave a Akuma serious look as he walked by. Akuma gave him a smug grin before walking out the building and back to the viewing room.
'What is your quirk?' All Might thought as Akuma walked and the students crowded around him. Akuma looked at them with confusion as they began to talk over each other and he wasn't enjoying the lack of personal space.
"Man you're something else!" Kaminari said as he slapped Akuma's back and his costume changed into it's defensive mode, catching them by surprise, "Dude your freaking jacked!"
"You should see him shirtless!" Akuma heard as someone tapped the top of his left shoulder and the costume returned to normal, "This costume is Baby number twenty-one!"
"Hatsume shouldn't you be in class?" Akuma asked as he looked over his shoulder while the others processed what she said and she gave him a wild smile.
"I asked if I could see your costume in action but it looks like I was too late!" Mei said happily as she handed Akuma a pair of gloves, "I also needed to give you these!"
"Who's the hot girl?" Mineta asked with a strange look on his face that creeped out the rest of the class and he began to walk over to the two and All Might saw Akuma's eyes turn wild as he stepped between Mei and Mineta.
"Alright that's it for today class!" All Might told them, catching their attention and keeping Akuma from doing something he would regret, "Let's go back to class and get on home!"
"So what do these do?" Akuma asked Mei as he walked with her back to classroom H-1 with the gloves in his hands, "Are they going to explode?"
"They're just cosmetic." Mei explained as they walked into the workshop and the teacher got a small smile as he watched Mei happily show off her inventions to Akuma. The alarms suddenly began to ring out through the school and Akuma could hear the students run into the hall in a panic.
"You two stay in here!" The teacher yelled as he ran into the hall and Akuma gave Mei a confused look.
"I wonder what's going on?" Mei asked as she pulled out another invention and handed it to Akuma, "I'm really proud of this Baby!"
"A pair of boots?" Akuma asked as he examined the armored boots with curiosity, "What are they?"
"Those babies can cause massive damage to whatever you kick with their reinforced soles and, just like with the costume I made, they are near bullet proof!" Mei explained as she took back, "The electronics in these boost the impact by releasing air pressure when on impact and they won't do it out of nowhere since you have to apply enough force behind your kick to activate them!"
"Can you add them to my costume?" Akuma asked and her face lit up, "You can call it a field test."
"It was just reporters." The teacher said as he walked back inside and the two explained that Akuma wanted to apply a change to his costume design to include Mei's boots.
"I should be able to do that without involving the costume company. Just give me time to do the paperwork and I'll include them." The teacher told him as he brought the boots to his desk and began to fill out some papers, "It make take a few days so be patient and I'll get Mei to let you know when they're ready."
"Alright." Akuma said as he waved goodbye and left the room. He decided to fly home rather than take the bus since it was faster and he made sure to fly high enough to not get caught using his abilities by any pros. He got home well before dark and made sure no one was inside that time before going to his room to rest.
