Chapter 6: School

After burying the body the five people started to walk towards the car.
"So where are we heading?" After reaching the car Eric asked.
"We are going to the school," Mr. Saltzman answered.
"School?! What school?" Scott asked.
"Salvatore boarding school," Mr. Saltzman answered.
"Why? Oh, wait, are you headmaster Saltzman?" Scott asked.
"Yes, I am headmaster Saltzman, I thought that was obvious because of my last name. We are going to the school because there are some important things that I want to talk about with both of you," Mr. Saltzman explained.
For the rest of the ride, all of them sat in silence. During the trip, Eric opened his backpack and was pleasantly surprised to find Kaneki's mask in it. Inside the backpack, he also found his identification papers and other stuff.
'Great! I really liked his mask, and now it is mine, but I don't think it is going to be that useful here. But at least it is cool,' Eric thought to himself.
After a few more minutes of silence, they finally arrived in front of a gate with a 'S' symbol on the front of it, and to the left side of it was a sign that said 'Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted'. The gate leads to a big estate with good scenery.
After arriving at school they followed headmaster Saltzman inside. The interior of the school was very cozy and had a warm atmosphere. Entering the door they arrived at a hall with couches, furniture, and a fireplace where students were hanging out with each other.
"Daddy?!" Eric heard a tall blonde say.
[A/N: In the show, I find this kinda cringe. The actress is around 30 years old and says this to the male actor who is around ten to twelve years older. I don't dislike the actress, but couldn't they have found someone younger at least in her early 20s?]
"Hi, daddy," she said and jumped to the arms of Mr. Saltzman. Shortly after a cute brunette followed suit.
"Daddy, where is Rafael, and who are these two? Especially this fine specimen," The blonde one asked.
"Hi, I am Lizzie, what is your name?" The blonde one who called herself Lizzie extended her hands to Eric to shake his hand.
*Cough*
Eric heard the brunette cough and saw Lizzie broke out of her stupor.
"It is nice to meet you too, my name is Eric," Eric said, and shook her hand.
"It is good that you two are getting familiar, but we have more important things to deal with," Mr. Saltzman said stoically.
"I have some bad news. Unfortunately, we lost Rafael," Mr. Saltzman said.
"What!?" Lizzie said.
*Sharp inhale*
Eric saw that the brunette one open her eyes widely and cover her mouth with her hands, and then run away.
"Josie!" Lizzie said and went after her.
"Hope, please take Landon to your room so we can figure out what to do later," Mr. Saltzman said to the brunette girl that was with them calming down Landon.
The girl looked at Mr. Saltzman threateningly, Mr. Saltzman seeing this nodded his head slowly. Then both Hope and Landon left together leaving Eric, Scott, and headmaster Saltzman together.
"Follow me both of you," Headmaster Saltzman said and walked towards his office with Eric and Scott following him behind.
Then the trio entered a large office and Mr. Saltzman pointed his hands to the seats for them to sit down.
"Scott, do you remember what I said about supernatural beings?" Mr. Saltzman asked.
"Yes, so what of it?" Scott answered.
"Well, there is something that I didn't tell you about. The truth of the matter is that you are also a supernatural being, specifically a werewolf," Mr. Saltzman explained.
"What!, How?!" Scott asked loudly.
"The short answer is bloodline. Being a werewolf is something that gets passed generation by generation. Even if you have the bloodline it doesn't mean that you will become a werewolf. Turning into a werewolf only happens when a certain condition is met, and that is causing someone's death. After that at every full moon, you will transform into your wolf form," headmaster Saltzman explained.
"Here, in the Salvatore school, you are not alone. There are other werewolves like you, there are also witches, and vampires present as well, making this a perfect place for people like you. We also have capable staff that will teach you everything about your power, and how to control them. Becoming a supernatural doesn't make you better than everyone, there are people who will try to kill you, like the unfortunate incident that you witnessed. It is not a safe world, but here at this school we are a family and look out for each other. I really hope that you can consider joining this school. I can also try and convince your parents if you like," headmaster Saltzman continued.
"Mr. Saltzman, that is a lot to take in, especially in such a short period of time after everything that happened. I really appreciate telling me all this but I have to think about it, and if my answer is yes I might need your help with my mother," Scott answered.
"Take your time, but there are some things that you need to be careful with. You will have more aggressive tendencies because of becoming a werewolf and will become moodier overall. Also, you have to get away from people and chain yourself somewhere secure in the night of the full moon, because you might not be able to control yourself, and hurt other people. Even if your answer is no can also come here, because we have facilities for that matter. Feel free to come here if you have any questions,"
"Ok, thanks," Scott stood up to leave.
"Do you need someone to get you to your home?" Mr. Saltzman asked.
"No, I want to walk, and get some fresh air to my brain, and think about all of this. Also, my house isn't that far from here," After saying this Scott nodded his head to both Mr. Saltzman, and Eric then walked out of the office.
"Your name was Eric, right?" Mr. Saltzman.
"Right, so now you are going to tell me I am also a supernatural being, so hit me, what am I?" Eric said.
"I don't know either yet, you are different compared to other students that reside here. But if you stay here, we can figure this out together. We have a large number of records, and books, so there should be something that tells us about you," Mr. Saltzman explained.
"I'm in. It's not like I have much better to do. Also, I am an orphan and you don't have to get anybody else's permission," Eric said.
"Good, welcome to the Salvatore School," Mr. Saltzman said and both he and Eric shook hands.
"Oh, I also have something to say, that I think should be shared with you early on. I am sensing these smells after I regained my consciousness in the woods. I haven't smell anything like them ever, before that. They are like the most delicious smell ever," Eric explained.
"Ok, where do those smells originate from?" Headmaster Saltzman asked.
"From people," Eric answered.
