Chapter 12: 12. Trouble
Two people walked into the town from outside. One of them was a handsome guy but had a slightly feminine look, his hair tied up into a small ponytail with a few bangs framing his face. He wore a white T-shirt below his unzipped red hoodie. The other one had spiky white hair, he wore a mask and headband that covered his left eye, a flak jacket, dark blue pants, and a long-sleeve shirt. He also wore fingerless gloves with metal plates on the backhand. Those two were none other than Izumi and Kakashi.
Of course, their "unique" appearances attracted the attention of residents. Moreover, Kakashi seemed mysterious with his look alone.
However, even if they caught the attention of others, everyone had their own business, so the two of them weren't bothered and walked leisurely towards the Fairy Tail guild.
Suddenly, Kakashi said something.
"Somehow, the nuance in the other world is so strange but it can make my eyes wide open."
Izumi glanced at Kakashi. But, he tilted his head because Kakashi's words were so confusing.
"What do you mean?"
Kakashi raised his index finger and said
"How should I put it? Anyway, there are a lot of new things to learn. Before, I never even thought that there would be something like magic and the fact that I could learn it too."
Izumi clapped his hands in response. Now, he understood what he meant.
"Ah, so that's what you mean. It's still better, in your world where there are superpowers that can be used by training the chakras. My world doesn't have that kind of power, you know!"
"But, there are a lot of interesting things in your world. Erotic novels for example." Kakashi grinned while thinking about it. Meanwhile, Izumi twitched.
"Can you put aside such things? But well, Kuroneko's world has a lot more interesting stuff than my world if I'm being honest."
Kakashi touched his chin.
"Is it possible to go to your or her world?"
Izumi was silent for a moment. Then, he replied.
"Maybe. We'll see after this mission is over. Also, there are powers other than magic in other worlds. Maybe you can learn those too."
"Other powers?"
Izumi nodded.
"That's right. Qi, Haki, Nen, Quirks, etc. Science and technology in Tabane's world also can be called "other powers" since the destructive power can't be underestimated. Maybe, there are powers called Vision just like in the game or Martial Arts in Chinese fantasy. But, who knows."
"That's surprising. Seems like there's still a lot to learn from the other world."
"It will be hard, Kakashi-san. It's like you're in school learning math, foreign language, history, Ninjutsu, war tactics, and everything else at the same time."
Izumi's words were probably right. It would be difficult to learn many powers at the same time. However, there were some exceptions. For example, the reward he would get after completing a mission. Or perhaps, the internal body cleanser he drank could allow him to easily learn those powers quickly.
"That's right. If I focused solely on Ninjutsu, it might be easy. But, I'm not sure that I can learn various kinds of powers and master them at the same time."
"Well, you can learn any power that might be useful while you still use Ninjutsu as your main source of power. Just like you learned sealing magic while you still use your Ninjutsu."
"Yeah. Although my magic is pretty good, I'm living in a world with no magic. It's kinda hard to improve my magic in that world since I need to see the other magic."
Izumi just realized why Kakashi was reluctant to use elemental imitation magic and only used sealing magic as an auxiliary to his Ninjutsu.
It was pretty good since Kakashi was able to learn sealing magic that easily. Though as Izumi recalled, even though Kakashi could use Fuinjutsu, he was not very proficient and needed time to activate. However, learning sealing magic in just a day was quite extraordinary.
He wondered if he could master his magic while learning Ninjutsu at the same time. Even up until now, he still couldn't release any Ninjutsu because hand seals were quite difficult to remember. On the other hand, if the Ninjutsu could be released with just a hand seal, his chakra wasn't enough or his chakra flow in his body was messed up.
Even so, with his practice over the past few days, he was able to walk up the tree vertically. With his significant development, he just needed a little more practice to be able to release Ninjutsu.
Without realizing it, he and Kakashi had arrived in front of the Fairy Tail guild.
When they entered, he could see the classic and simple atmosphere of the bar. The drinking, laughter, and gossip of the guild members mixed into one. Of course, all guild members immediately turned their heads to Izumi and Kakashi after stepping inside.
"Oh, you two. Is there anything else you need?"
Macao was the first to greet Izumi and Kakashi.
"We just want to say goodbye. So I stopped by here before I left."
"Goodbye? I thought you guys were planning on staying here for a bit longer."
"We want to continue our journey. So…"
*Bang*
Izumi was interrupted by the sound of the door that was suddenly slammed from outside.
"Yo, yo, yo! It's so much fun here! If it's crowded like this, don't you have more income? Doesn't that mean you can pay off the debt?"
Three people suddenly came. The one who had spoken was a muscular man with frizzy hair who had tan skin. Behind him was a fat man who could flatten Izumi. Another one was a bald man who was skinny but had a sinister face.
Everyone in the guild frowned. They didn't seem to like their presence. Even Izumi was sick of seeing those who suddenly came as if threatening the Fairy Tail guild members.
Izumi looked at Kakashi and said,
"Let's go!"
Kakashi just nodded and then both of them walked out. However, even though the two of them didn't want to deal with Fairy Tail's financial problems, the three of them got in the way of Izumi and Kakashi.
Izumi prepared to take two Kunais in his hoodie pocket which he had brought with him since training with Kakashi.
"Can you please move out?" Izumi tried to ask them to step aside without making them angry.
The frizzy-haired man smirked at Izumi and Kakashi.
"Aren't these the two foreigners that the locals talk about a lot?"
"Leader, this kid has nice clothes. Don't you think he is rich?"
"But if he's a rich kid, the man next to him must be his guard."
The bald man and the fat guy responded after what the frizzy-haired man said. Both were afraid that Kakashi was stronger than them.
But, the frizzy-haired man calmed them down.
"Why should you be afraid? We are members of the Twilight Ogre guild, the strongest guild in Magnolia. Who would dare to challenge us?"
Hearing their guild name, Izumi sneered.
"Twilight Ogre? Haah, that name was too nice for you. You should rename your guild to Twist Goblin instead!"
"What did you say?"
"Are you looking down on us?"
"Looks like this kid needs a beating!"
Of course, the three of them were angry with Izumi's sudden comment.
